  1. I don't think the hoses and what not cracking is an issue as there are quite a few flex fuel vehicles(come from the factory with the capability of running regular petrol or E85) driving around here. Converts would just need to be retro fitted. If the US would stop subsidizing farmers to not grow corn. Yes, that's right, we pay farmers here to not grow corn. It keeps the price up so the rest of the farmers can make money. There would be more than enough corn to feed everybody and make loads of E85. Finally, we need to adjust the way we think about cr's, boost, and timing. With E85 all of the normal limits can be increase and some of the milelage could be reclaimed.

  2. I'd be interested in seeing what you guys come up with. I have a rb20 in my s14. I run 15psi on the street and 20psi at the track. I have been noticing that at the track I'll do the same thing. The boost goes up to 20psi in 1st and 2nd. Then in 3rd it hits 20psi once spooled and then starts dropping till it gets to 15psi were it holds.

  3. I believe the Tomei pistons have a 7.9/1 cr. Which seems likely to me since my 8.5/1 pistons have a 8.5cc dome and the Tomei's have a 5.2cc dome. I got my deck clearance by subtracting my rod length plus half the stroke plus the compression height from the block height. This gave me 0.0661" of deck clearance. After over boring to 82mm in my case this effectively increases the combustion chamber lowering the compression ratio. Then the dome brings it back up to the stock 8.5/1.

  4. Cameron,

You wouldn't happen to have a spec sheet for your pistons would you. I just got a set of custom pistons made by

JE and they came with a slight dome. They also seem to have move the compression height on mine down 3mm instead of 2.

They look a little different then any of the RB24 pistons I've seen before. At least if it's too much dome I can just have it shaved off.
