  1. "any one tried wiring and plumbing up two afm's in paralell?"... !! Not gonna work, no chance. Could cause untold damage to 5v power feed from ecu 'nd all sorts od wierd happenings..!!
  2. DOES IT ACTUALLY SOUND OK when cranking it over??? I cant hear it! Anyway, what about CAS, is that goosed. IMO.. it would at least kick if even on a few cylinders if it were the plugs!!.. Why is everyone so completely sure its the plugs that are the root cause.. just by the info I can glean from all this, there has only been speculation about plugs.. which, to be honest are pretty damn reliable in this century. Lets just sit back a little here, and work the problem... Not firing... Is there an immobiliser fitted? Is there gas in the tank? Is there 1 meagre spark from one of the coils, or any of them,, simply unscrew it, hang a plug out of it and see? Just basic starters, then work from there... or is this real? Battery would not be the cause, mine has cranked... and fired on a very low charge, so much so it even amazed me. QED.
  3. Snapped Cam belt usually happens first thing afdter a long run if it is weak. Check it!
  4. Check the fluid in the system is not hygroscopic, as in absorbs water/moisture, 95 % is..! If it has been contaminated as in left open to the atmosphere, it will absorb moisture, and, underpressure of braking, the water part in the fluid will boil, and produce steam, and pressure will build up above what you have exerted on the piston/s, and may actually force back hard enough to feel hard. Failing that, it could be low on fluid, or if fitted, the ABS pump may be in difficulty. Ususally in my experience, the seals in the master cylinder , or the bore have failed, leaving you almost pressing on the end-stop, which will feel rock-hard too. So, 1, Fluid change. (will probably not do any harm anyway, as it is often neglected) 2, Check ABS system is ok, and functioning correctly. 3, Suspect master cylinder. 4, Blocked or damaged lines. There, if any more ideas flash thro my head I will scribble them here.

These coils are in excellent condition, and are ready to go. Read my prev posts about ignition coils, these are the ones I have been using without any issues. p.s. they come in a box, with a free Splitfire sticker too.
  11. Hmm, not too sure here. I have to admit mine is touchy!!,, but not so it locks uncontrollably. I did have!! a Fiat which did similar to what you describe, and it turned out to be the nearside flexible pipe that was almost blocked with some kind of black goo, this stopped the fluid retrning to release the pressure sufficienlty to be normal before i touched the brakes again, and man, did it skate to a halt on occasions, before I realised it was not completely predictable.
  12. IMO.. If used from the first time, yep, use it. BUT, as I have made more than one engine rattly having used it, I'm not sure wether it is a good idea on a good engine. Generally this stuff is good for diesel engines IMO, and that is it. Good rule is to use good oil, always run the engine to normal temp if you fire it up. Lets just evaluate what this stuff does... it removes varnish type deposits too, and this CAN affect the compression. IT DID take enough out of the bores of a hydraulic valve lifter for me to actually make it rattle thereon. Admitedly the engine was nof unknown history. Mate, the oils are pretty damn good now in the modern world, and there are additives in them to assist in engine cleanliness. Not saying dont, but its your call. GOOD OIL FILTER is very important though. Just my 2c again!!
  13. Put me in for coming too pls. c ya's there. Rix.
  14. Since Mine was modded, I have a second crank start, never fails to be the same, but the tuner can sort it if you tell them, but am ok with mine, I know it will start.
  15. Mine has a Inoiser on the rear parcel shelf!!
  16. But, trying to make a vehicle do something it wasn't designed to do, by such things as altering camber angles et, etc... generally makes for a dangerously modified animal, which will not conduct itself in the same manner for which it was designed when it all starts to go wrong..!! Let me just point out the classic Corrolas whizzing about in my area!!, or any other Mr average saloon for that matter. My 2Cents.
  17. My 2cents here... You wanna drive where I live.... No answer really, difficult subject to put a blanket rule over. I see many a non-P with driving skills from a playstation, and some bad P's too. Theres no substitute for experience in reality... that final thought about the added "extras" of the situation, before u make the move. But the up-shot is if some deaths can be averted, its better than none, then address the others in due process. When I was 17 in UK, we had restricted Moped/motorcycles, which actually raised the accident rate, because we were biting off a little more than the machine would give, and finding out it was a little dangerous, for example...to try overtaking a car at 27 Mph, with something only allowed to do 30Mph... long time inching past, and many close shaves to boot.!! Another was reading the road, .........at least we hit the wall at 30, and not 60MPH, thus giving us opportunity to live to tell the tale. Got to be honest tho, I learned from my mistakes, and luckily never involved anyone else in my disasters.!! We are all young at some point, and all have the right to learn too. There will be fatalities, but these will be out-weighed by the plus's, thats life. AND WE ALL think we are king of the road at some point, just one day we wake out of the dream.
  18. Well I got 496.1 kw running thro mine, and it seems to be ok.

  20. Merli, If only it was easy to become a member then I would be, but it aint that easy. Money aint a problem, its the fooling around to get it all organised is the only hurdle for me.
  21. Yep..!! watch that compressor outlet pipe, mine was fragile, .......and needs the crack in it repairing,.... when I can locate someone to do it... without scalping my wallet..!
