Ash, Please read my posts again. I got a canary initially - yes, of course I got all the yellow sticker and the list of things to fix - yes. However, the subsequent fines did not involve a canary. You may recall that I wrote, I can't believe they can fine me again for having an unroadworthy vehicle and $292 only days after I got a full RWC and had cleared it with Vicroads. This is why I am upset. So to recap, canaried - cleared it, then fined again after that without canary.

HA AHA HA The second and third fines was just a fine letter saying $292 for driving a unroadworthy vehicle. That's the problem. Nothing listed. Why do you think I lost it? It's because I still have a valid roadworthy and just cleared it a few weeks before and then they fine me again.

I had a dogy car parked in front of my house for a few minutes this morning and then they came back again last night...I think they're eyeing my GTR and want to steal it...I've since drove my GTR to a mate's house and asked for it to be garaged there. FFS, all these thefts happening.

As a matter of fact, most car thieves are dick-licking, ball-sucking, cock-tingling farkers with little brain matter to go and steal/damage people's pride and joy - yes, you are right. However, there are so many ways to disarm even the most sophisticated alarm. When I got my Viper alarmed installed on my GTR a few weeks ago, I had a good chat with one of the installers about car theft etc, and he said most alarms can be disabled quite easily if the crook knows the basics. Shiit, he even said that most thieves nowadays will just tow your car away, take it home to their garage, disabled the alarm with descent tools and then will strip the fark out of it before driving it to a driver, park or street and just dumping it there. Why risk driving it to be spotted? And let's face it, if you see a car on a tow truck, I don't think you'd look twice and wonder if it's stolen. However, I agree with you mate...better make it harder for those faggots then not.

Hey mate, I own both a R33 GTS4-T and a R33 GTR. My house only has enough room for one car in the garage. I put the GTS4-T in there as it's been with me the longest and I have a soft spot for it and I leave my GTR out on the drive way. Nothing's happened so far, but I guess if you have proper insurance, even if the thing does get stolen, you don't really have to worry. However, the shiitt thing nowadays is the pricks will steal your car, strip it for parts and then will dump it somewhere not really damaged so you get your car back and you then have to go through the trouble of fixing it. There's really nothing you can do mate. As I've always said, if they want to steal your car they will. Moreover, most people don't know the difference between a GTS-T and a GTR only car enthusiasts and Skyline fans do. So I doubt it that those scumbag thieves would steal your car because it's a GTR...they just want to strip it down for parts and interior. Nothing you can do mate. Obviously, if you have it locked in the garage then it would be much safer no doubt.

Mate, what you said is valid...however, even if you're the nicest guy on earth - some cops are just plain Richard Craniums. If they want to dick you, they will regardless of your attitude. Besides, why would someone not be nice to the cops? You're basically under their mercy so it would be in one's interest to be relatively pleasant.

Ok well, two of my friends who drive Skylines - one R34GTR and one R32 GTS-T have also been defected recently. One of having dark tint on his windows and the other for having a POD Filter. He tried to explain to the cops that front mounted intercoolers come stock on R34 GTR's but still copped a defect. So anyway...that's that.

Don't know if you have read my other thread. However, even if they've defected you before...they can, fine you $292 again and again and again and again and again if they feel like it. In other words, even if you're defected with a yellow canary on your windscreen OR you've recently cleared it with Vicroads with a full RWC, they can still dick you if they feel like it. It's farked.

All of the above should work. Be more careful next time or buy yourself an alarm with boot release.

Look, I'm going to set the record straight...i had what the cops deemed as illegal modifications...slapped me with a canary and a big fine...ok fair enough. Howerver, it's the pulling me over another 2 times and fining the farm out of me again for shit that I have removed or fixed and saying that my car is a cop magnet and fined over And over again that's farked! I copped two $292 fines after my car has been deemed roadworthy by a qualified mechanic and Vicroads themselves is a joke!
