  1. What guage u running Silver?
  2. When Does it do it? During light/hard acceleration or when jumping off the throttle? Most likely just a greater volume of air in the system causing a different bov noise when you jump off the throttle.
  3. Its no good if it doesn't return respectable fuel economy plodding around town.
  4. The cars are getting old.. They pumps are getting lazy. Mine crapped out at around 67,000km's and 160rwkw.
  5. Well god damn.. What DOESN'T Wiki have... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogan How one can write 2500words on BOGAN beats me lmao.. <yes there really is 2500words>
  6. VG30DET and R32 RB20DET/RB25DE valve springs are interchangable. The R32 RB20DET/RB25DE & R33 RB25DET lifters are interchangable. Not sure if R33 RB25DET valve springs are fine in the R32 head. A set of std RB26DETT valve springs are fine, they are a tad longer so offer a little better seat pressure. Not the best way to do it but it works. Nengun aftermarket valve springs for the rb20det/vg30det are around $400 odd postage. So could get away with it for under $500.
  7. Not going to share what power u made?
  8. Well thats just the thing.... Its not the minority its the majority.. Both for P platers and Import drivers. The majority of male drivers do have a lead foot, my run-ins with them in their dads commodore, statistics and insurance premiums all back this up. I've seen a handfull of imports driving around in the last couple of days and to be honest, the majority see me another import with a 15month old in his baby seat and boot it around a round about or overtake me stupidly as if they are trying to prove something. To ME... I see the majority ruining it for the minority. Head out for a drive on friday or sat night and tell me how many of the import drivers drive sensibly, only a very small handfull. Women P plate drivers, they just cruise. Growing up.... I knew 2 males in my year that drove sensibly, all the others were dangerous... including myself.
  9. The r32 rb25de springs are identical to the RB20det springs. The RB25de is essentially an rb20det with a larger bore, bigger valves and slightly bigger ports.
  10. Others have had no issues running rb25 ecu's in their R32 rb20's.. The pinout is also almost identical. Its interesting to note my R32 PFC is an early revision mainboard with a little rb25 stamp, has the injector pins 4 & 6 have been chopped and swapped, ecu pin 57 also has its track cut.
  11. A motor is an airpump. It all depends how the tuner tunes the car. It looks as if the wolf is actually running a little more boost either that or the tuner of the pfc was extremely conservative with its ign. timing and running crap rich afrs
  12. Yep I got the high tensile suckers.
  13. Sounds similiar to the problem I had with Bosch sourcing Z32 AFM's. At first.. yeahh no problems.. we can supply what ever you want.. The more the better. Around 30 Z32's? Yeahh 30 32's is no problems. Waiting for the group buy to progress.... I receive a call... "Oh sorry there's been problems when moving the manufacturing plant from japan to germany that has caused back orders... There's no way we can supply 30. Lots of 5 once a month no problems, or if you wish we believe we will be able to supply what you are after by such and such month" That month comes "oh no we can't supply, next month will be fine" Next month comes around "next month.. we are getting there" Now they are certian August is the month they will be able to supply what I want. I doubt it... There is one good thing that has came out of this... I am able to get lots of 2 AFM's damn cheap. As cheap as the group buy price; but I won't, I will wait.
  14. Or try to track down a set of 550cc rx7 injectors. The GTR's should push 250rwkw odd with a bit of fuel pressure. Do remember Shaun's dyno reads a tad lower than the rest as for what ever reason he runs it in SHOOT6 mode not Shoot6F. generally speaking as you lower the shootout modes the reading also becomes slightly less. For example.. throw it in shoot81 and you will pick up 25-30rwkw. SO yes.. 550cc injectors push 18-19psi and 300rwkw odd.
  15. Its not meant to turn on when you flick to acc.. acc is onyl for sitting there with radio on etc. The on position is when it primes the fuel pump and gets ready to start
  16. Depends on the cars condition and how you drive. Lots of short trips you are better off every 5000k. Hows your fuel economy? Fuel economy is an indication if your dumping fuel in to the oil excessively. To truley know you need to do a few oil analysis.
  17. An oil that goes dark is cleaning and suspending crap better than an oil that doesn't. I'd much prefer my oil to go dark than stay light. If its using oil... Then for the given motor its too thin, castrol 5w30 is too thin for my rb30det as it uses around 500-1000mls per 5000kms. throw a 40 weight in it and it doesn't use a drop.
  18. Ahh so you did pick up that Kazz one in the sale section then?
  19. Mines a genuine o2 sensor from nissan, it definitely reads close to 4v when stone cold then drops as it heats. Always has since I dropped it in. I forget how the old one performed.
  20. lol yes, as do I. Mad082, You think too much.
  21. Look at a compressor map.... A turbo is able to flow the same amount of air at low boost levels as it can high boost levels. A motor that is not breathing as well due to high backpressure reducing VE will require MORE boost for the same airflow. Everything has already been stated... Uncork the hot side and the motor is able to pump air easier. As a result cylinder filling improves and airflow goes up for a given boost level. More power is made as its airflow that makes power NOT boost. Throw a small stock compressor on the uncorked hotside and it won't hold boost, add unnecessary heat and run deep in to choke (again refer to a compressor map and look at the efficiency bands) Its so simple, you need to look at the whole equation, not just the first part (being the compressor). Don't create analogies and read what has already been said, the answers are all there.
  22. Mine reads high when its not up to temp, it takes roughly 1-2km of driving for it to come up to temp and begin working.
  23. I've dug up a couple pics of an RB30ET piston. As can be seen there are no skirt cut outs for the piston crown oil squirter. I've also attached a CP piston with the oil squirter cut out.
  24. I remember it was mentioned some time ago by some one who confused the bore/rod squirters or what ever they are called with the piston crown oil squirters. The bore/rod squirters squirt oil on to the load side of the bore. Not sure of the exact terminology.
