  1. A quote from that dude that owns the XR6T. 330rwkw at 3000rpm.. Thats flamin awesome. I've said before and I'll say it again.. There's no replacement for displacement.
  2. Sards work and are cheap but have been known to have a poor spray pattern. Idle quality and fuel economy will suffer as a result. Their twin-hole injectors may be better, I haven't heard much about them as of yet. Nismo and HKS are always a safe bet.
  3. The drag spec Nitto's is what you want for straight line. They handle quite well also. Whatsisname had them on his car when it was making some where from 260-290rwkw and ran a low 12 with his granny shifting. I remember him telling me he can get almost all the power from first down and second also.
  4. I've just had a quick look at my rb20t turbo. The vg30 turbine I have is definitely bigger. Noticably its width.
  5. Many years ago my uncle dropped a 13BT in to his Combi-Van. Was friggin scary with its arm long shifter.
  6. What van is it? I would be more inclined to fit up a SR20DET or something.
  7. heheh Thorpy would think 294rwkw is fully sick.. http://www.fueltech.com.au/auto_turboaccessories.html It states Highflow version available upon request. Where is the bov located? Near the throttle body as the stock setup? Maybe its adjusted incorrectly.
  8. Be sure to spray the car when it's not cold. or. Hire a heater.
  9. Mine has 7153. I popped down to a jap importers today and all the vg30 turbo's have different numbers cast in to them?!?! All exactly the same turbo.
  10. So damn hard to tell really. The only method via photo's I can tell is from the comp wheel, how it sits in the comp housing.
  11. lol. I came across one of 'those' people the other day at Sprint Autoparts. He was dribbling on how he had this R32 GTS-T. 166rwkw on 12.5psi, malpassi fuel reg, std ecu, exhaust, fmic. He said he ran a 12.8 at 110mph with a 60ft of ~2.2. lol He said if he got the launch sorted he would be close to the 11's. HAHAHA What a knob head. Seriously, so full of him self.
  12. Are you sure thats a VG30DET turbo? My Elbow won't bolt on to the stock elbow that connects to the intake piping. The comp wheel also looks like it has a step up, which is the style of the rb20??
  13. Very nice Predator. Care to share some ride height pics? So you are using the very top or second to top notch for ride height?
  14. First I'll also add a LOL! czy18e, what sort of siiick power are you making to require a second bov? Must be sick mate.. fully sick.. I bet Thorpy even thinks its sick.
  15. They machine out the exhaust wheel section to allow for the larger wheel. This doesn't change the a/r though. Well from what I understand it doesn't. I've also noted the 500-550hp versions of the GT30 have a different chra. Possibly the 600hp version of the gt30 would have issues with the smaller exhaust a/r?
  16. I've seen a Q45 hit 4.8v when only making 200rwkw. That had a 70-80mm (I think) pod adaptor, so essentially it was blocking off the outer 10-20mm.
  17. ? THe GCG uses the stock RB25 housing that is apparently a .48 or there abouts. The VG30 exhaust a/r is a .63 and allows better top end VE which = more top end power.
  18. Roy's setup. TD06-20G doesn't appear to lag and returns awesome mid range. You already know this though.
  19. What sort of fuel economy figures are you ppls who are running under 80degree's getting? The reason I ask is under 80degree's the ecu richens up the afr. The RB20DET running 1bar, exhaust and fmic used to return 470km's per 50litres driving locally. All 60km/h driving, short trips of roughly 10km or so to Uni and back. The RB30DET now returns 450km's but I am getting stuck in to it a lot more , limping around I've managed 520km's per tank. Per tank being once the red light shows, fill it up straight away and its always 50-52litres.
  20. I had a dodgy water temp sensor that was reading ~15-20degree's lower than the actual real temperature. Slapped a new one in and temps went from low 70's to low 80's. The guage would always sit below half and move around a little. Once I replaced the temp sensor it sat smack on half and now doesn't move. The stock guage is a little dieceiving due to its markings, it looks like its slightly over half but its really smack on half. The optimal temperature for economy is around 85degree's. Optimal Performance is apparently in the high 70's.
  21. Awesome result Duncan. :headbang:
  22. Update on the oil.. I've found the Castrol 10w60 to be a little too thick. WOT over 3500rpm now see's 8kg/cm2 on the stock guage. Idle is 3, cruise ~2000rpm is 5. Cold start max's out the guage. Prior to the castrol i ran motul 8100 5w40. Idle - Needle over 2, cruise ~2000rpm - 4, WOT over 4000rpm 7 (only just). It appears to make oil pressure much much more quickly now.. 3500rpm vs 4000rpm to see its peak oil pressure. I think this is too high personally. 4Door_sleeper, whats yours run at?
  23. If its over half then its over 100degrees. In other words way way too hot. Check your clutch fan, then the usual radiator etc..
