i reckonn the red light was the battery light, when mine does that and the steering goes stiff the hicas light and battery light come on right ebfore the engine bumps the rpm back up again
mine does exactly the same as yours, but goes from like 50rpm to 1k. ive got it booked in for a diagnostic this week

mine comes up with 55 (no errors) and my idle is all over the place sometimes, including the odd stall.

this is what mine does, is it sorta the same thing? i also cleaned aac valve, regapped plugs and cleaned afm but nothing helped. My next try will involve dumping it at a workshop and praying they can fix it!

most have flanges which makes them "bolt" on with no welding at all

carpark 8 or 9 (or maybe its 7, i forget) is where i go, 8 usually fills by the time i wake up lol

Just after a picture of preferably silver r33 with hyper black koya drift teks but anything close will also be fine
the 18s here http://www.autoshop.com.au/results.php?criteria=drift look great, but they dont say if they come in other colours. They could just be powder coated or pinted black professionally by someone else though if they dont come in black, right?
i like p1s and drifteks, ive seen p1s on a silver r33 now id just like a comparison.

i get 250km~ to a tank and backfire like a motherbollockser, and all ive done is a catback exhaust!
I think its time to check my o2 sensor too, the plugs are relatively new and i just gapped them to .8 but popping didnt change at all.

well i guess i need a consult cable or something to get error codes because my ecu doesnt seem like it has a screw/led window to read from
so i guess thats out of the question to check at home

how do i get into diagnostic mode to get a fault code? all i see thru searching is hizas diagnostic mode

Beautiful. Is that a carbon fibre bonent or just a black replacement? Are either legal?
Only thing id change is maybe side indicators to clear or tinted. Otherwise looks really great.

yeah stock apart from apexi pod, trust pe2 catback and hi-boost mode mod to the stock solenoid

yeah it boosts fine
only thing is once its warm and the idle goes whack, the vac (factory boost gauge) goes whack too

Tring to diagnose my rev dropping off issue, i was just wondering what in the car changes when you reach operating temp?
My car is 100% fine until it reaches operating temp at which point it will randomly drop revs when i slow down/brake, and the idle will go up and down from 50 to about 1000 instead of being steady.
For what its worth, ive already cleaned the aac valve, but when i unplug it while the cars running it makes no change to the engine sound.
Also gave the afm a spray with contact cleaner.
Also using the stock bov.
So, what changes when an s2 r33 gtst reaches its operating temp?

Thats not actually the one im talking about, they have a brand new one that I saw the other week, its not on their website as yet but its identical to the Trust and Blitz kits so no chopping.
My eyes are open!

im probably gonna go the r34 smic route for my r33 but it has me thinking for the future; is it tough/expensive to get the engine bay hole engineered?
im THAT GUY, the one with bad luck who always gets caught out, asked to answer somethign first in class, buy something and it goes wrong etc etc so the legalities of the front mount are what concern me.
At that stage (bigger turbo and supporting mods) are you really savin much by going the greddy/hybrid piping style compared to the blitz return style?

mine isnt atmo
ive cleaned afm
cleaned aac valve
changed fuel filter
changed timing belt
ecu reset
ecu has no error codes either
when it is in its little idle fluctuating mode, if i get out and pop the bonnet then unplug the thin vac line on the front of the inlet manifold the car will sort itself out after about 5-15 seconds then it will be fine for a while
my charcoal canister doesnt appear to be plugged in
