    got both left and right rocker cover gaskets....had a slight oil leak so bought new gaskets, turned out all i needed to do was tighten the screws but since i had already spent $80 on both gaskets form nissan i replaced them...so i got a pair of gaskets that are in good codition $20 for both located in melb, willing to post pm me gonna bin them otherwise

    are you referring to the oil line that runs from the block to the turbo? i replaced my gasket this morning and so far so good but ill keep an eye on it over the next few weeks.

    thanks for the replys guys, im gonna replace the gasket this weekend so hopefully no more oil leak

    hey guys iv got a small oil leak in my rb20det, it appears to be coming from the turbo side at the back, heres a pic; the area i have circled is the highest point that oil appears to have built up, it then runs down the side, there is also some oil built up behind the engine(where the arrow points) can anyone help me determine where this leak could possibly be and if so how i would go about fixing it?

    ok so i need to remove my aftermarket boost solenoid to clear an epa the bloke said it needs to have a stock solenoid (i dont even know what a stock one looks like) is it possible to run the car without a solenoid in other words just connect the actuator into the cooler piping? what would happen?

    this is the little sensor i played with that seemed to solve the problem (not my engine bay-couldnt get my hands on a camera)

    i got a 32 gtst; been epa'ed countless times(most recent was last friday...sad) lost my licence 3 times now and im only 21 dumped so much cash into it shit breaks all the time as soon as you fix one thing something else dies sucks up petrol like theres no tommorow but i think about it like a pain in the ass g/f thats awesome in bed, im willing to put up with her as long as she performs where it counts!

    pulled it apart yesterday, the little spring was in perfect working order, turned out to be the little sensor thing that is attached to the throttle body, when you pull it apart it is conected to the throttle so i shifted it slightly which caused idle to drop to where i want it

    to remove the injectors i had to take out the cross over pipe, throttle body and the aac unit. i didnt touch the component i have circled in the pic but ill pull it apart this w/e and have a look

    yeah hot or cold it idles at 2000, i was having a look today and your not talking about what i have circled in red are you? cause thats all i can see underneath the throttle body?

    yes it would work fine but the only downside is that the light would be on all the time
