  1. Jay here once again thanks for those injectors they pulled up a treat. Pulled 220 atw @ 15 psi on 91ron. Definately happy. Highly recommend all his stuff all gear in good condition.. ill give you a buzz when i go to calder next..

Thanks i thought as much Most cops dont noctice the turbo as its low mounted and i have made the engine bay look stock, still have standard airbox cooler pipes run where stock ones did and boost controller is hidden Do you know of any good tuners in the south east area who tune at a reasonable price. ive had two full dyno tunes last year and i wasnt happy with both of them.
  4. Just wondering if you can run a Z32 AFM on a standard ECU . At the moment i have a GT30r turbo on the car with standard AFM and im unable to run the boost passed 10 pounds anymore as the car hits a wall when coming on to boost.. Im pretty sure its the AFM maxing out and the ECU pulling out all the timing ( going into safe mode ) In the past ive had a z32 with the standard ecu and the car wouldnt run properly. Was wondering would a chipped ECU say like a MINEs ECU be compatable with z32 AFM? The reason im going through all this trouble is i dont want to put my power fc back in for now because A: Needs to be tuned B: Fuel economy goes out the window ( Premuim $1.80 @280 klm a tank) and C: ive seen a lot of cars with yellows stickers in my area and the cops are on to the power fcs. At the end day i just want to know is there a way of running the boost up to say 12- 14 pounds on a stock ecu with a bigger turbo?
  5. i had Z32 AFM on the car when i had the power fc but when i got an EPA i put the stock ecu back in but the car wouldnt run properly with the Z32. i was just wondering if i could get away with it ( running stock AFM ) because its a hassle changing it. Also what kind of boost would you consider as safe when going for a dyno tune. Ive blown 1 motor and i dont wat to did it again.. I was thinking around 1 Bar. What are peoples thoughts thanks or experiences?
  6. the only thing is it happens more often than not, even on cold mornings? might be coolent not too sure could be. but its weird only ever had to fill coolent once.
  7. i was wondering if anyone could tell me how can i minimise this. only happens when im climbing hills at low revs. alsogoing in for a dyno soon i was wondering is there a big difference between using z32 AFM compared to standard, is it just easier to tune using z32 or do you get more power from it?
  8. Just wondering if anyone could help me out. I have noticed for some time now that i have water dripping from the overflow tap in the fire wall. It only happens every now then but when it does happen it leaves a big puddle. Is that overflow tap a run off for the heater core or is it something else? Thanks

  10. New motor in runs well comes with three month warranty, Aircon has also been regassed( Nice and cold) . All it needs now is a retune. Currently running stock ecu and air flow meter, but drives supprisingly well on standard boost...

  12. Price Drop>>>>> $14900. Motor has gone to piston lands. Second hand motor going in this week. Series 2 motor with approx 75000klms Done a comp test today results are as follows: 1 155psi 2 171psi 3 175psi 4 170psi 5 171psi 6 171psi Absolutly shattered that it happened to me, but glad in a sense because i would of felt bad if i had sold it on to someone and it happened to them. Anyways this going costing me $3000 to fix. The motor going in has never been boosted and has good comp readings. I have droped the price because the car no longer has the original motor and new buyer will need to get a new full tune on the dyno and possible regas of the air-con.

  15. 1500 for a complete motor minus loom and ecu . i have an afermarket turboand power fc that ill be using so i could sell the stock turbo here for a couple of hunderd bucks. Not bad considering how much a rebuild would cost. ive spoken to my mechanics i use a both said that the better option because stuff can go wrong with a rebuilds. Also wondering how can i tell if a motor is in good condition. Can you do a comp test when the motor is out of the car? Ive got 5 to choose from but have do i decide which is the best one?

  17. Just done a piston ring and was wondering what i was better off doing. i have sourced out a second hand engine for $1500 + 500 to put the thing in. Would that be better than rebuilding because i know rebuilds are very expensive and i also have the drama if there is a damaged block or valves, just a waste of time i think. correct me if im wrong. Also can anyone tell me of there experences and how they got out of it. Where they went how much?. How much would a full rebuild with forgies,bored and balanced be.
  18. Had that same problem definately spark plugs. try usings heat range 7 better plug as they run at a coller temp. helps with keeping knocks down
