  3. can someone have a look in their service manual and tell me the valve clearances for the neo rb25 please? i'm taking a feeler gauge in to double check before i start her up the first time, because my machine shop swapped int/exh cams when they reassembled the head. just want to make sure everything's good to go. i have a supplement i found online which reads. in milimeters, hot engine................................... 0.36 +- 0.062/0.53 +- 0.062 cold engine (at ambient temp) ..... 0.31 +- 0.04/0.50 +- 0.04 can someone confirm please? thank you for your time. cheers greg
  4. thx man, it's gettin there, still waiting on my harness to be sent back from being converted. taking waaaaayy too long as far as sourcing the motor, wasn't too hard, we have alot of importers who are able to get just about any motor.
  5. so we got the motor on mounts tonight... so close yet so far. on to the pics mounts fit like a glove a little persuading of the firewall for the oil drain to clear, damn close and what a PITA that was. oodles of clearance i plan on running 2 12" pullers. can't wait to trash this pos and the money shot alot of small stuff now..hard shit's outta the way. this week ill probably spray bomb the valve covers again, clean up the bay, bolt up the trans x-member
  6. and here we are as of today. I just got the motor back after the machine shop assembled - rb26 crank - cp pistons - standard 26 rods - ACL main/rod bearings - ARP main/rod bolts - honed cylinder walls - had the head/block hot tanked and resurfaced - rotating assembly balanced ( really don't think was necesary ) little over $500 later and BAM! i chose to tap the rear of the head to fit an external oil drain to the sump I'd like to have it in the car on mounts by this weekend, but more than likely will just paint the block, assemble it and get it ready for next weekend. I've still got to get my harness back, tap the oil pan for the return line, and port match ex and intake ports/manifolds. thx for looking!
