  1. I was looking for stock parts so i can get the shell rolling, i have a shopping trolley strapped up front atm as for cheap and easy, the rb would win but i am looking at the weight distribution and low down torque. and to do a decent rb30/25 would cost more than running a stock ls1 with an after market ecu. an even chassis balance will help all suspension parts do there job at 100% together with a grunty engine will help with corner exit speeds wich is a big plus in time attack. not to mention tracion issues. as it is i will be running the rwd layout so getting the balance as close to 50/50 is important.
  2. Hey dave, no idea of what type of truck it came off. i work in a scrap yard so when the guy dumped his trailer load of leftovers and crap i saw the turbo sticking out and grabbed it. the rear housing looks more like 1.00 a/r so i would have to say maybe it came of a 6 ltr truck?
  3. it came from a truck mechanic, and i tried a u.s forum, its like they speak a different language. shitty numbers from 91 ron fuel and little fwd/awd eclipes or v10 trucks
  4. Here's some pics of what i got today. I used the lighter as reference for size comparison How do I calculate/measure the A/R on the rear and front housings? are they the same as mitsi's and trust types rated in cm2?
  5. Hey people, does anyone know about the H1e holset turbo? I have only heard a little about them, from what i see they look like a good size compressor and turbine. the turbine looks similar to a .82? garrett so i am wondering if it will be a good match for a rb30. possibly flows 70lb per min. anybody have any experience with these? cheers.

  11. quick update, front spoiler is the standard dr30 plastic type,not nismo as advertised. still hard to come across though. located in warradale, adelaide
  12. yeah i know, but i ran out of time, had no man power to help and had to have space. $1000 down the drain but i was left with no choice there was no interest until it was too late, i advertised for 2 weeks before my deadline.

A ls1 engine is 60kg lighter than an rb engine , so a vq engine would be lighter again. but there are problems with the vq30dett engine so thats out, An rb engine will be overly heavy in the front thats why i would like a v8 to take the chassis balance closer to 50-50 the DLS r34 drift car is a great example

  16. I am also looking for r34 gtt parts, such as upper control arms for the front, stock shocks front and rear, steering rack, tie rod ends and reo bars for the front and rear. cheers troy.
  17. Hey fellow SAU siblings, I have recently bought an r34 gtt shell for a time attack weapon. the shell is in good nick apart from some love needed on the front right corner. So I am looking for some good idea's for an engine to run in this car, i have thought about doing the rb30-25/26 but rb's are too heavy in the front so i think an ls1 or vh45 or 1uz maybe? with turbo's later on. also I think a z-tune bodykit will do nicely but am open to ideas for the wheel combo. pics to be up shortly. cheers, troy

Hey guys, i am wanting to get rid of my beloved r30, as i have bought an r34 project \the car is complete except for the l24 motor and box parts are as follows: r200 disc brake rear end( prefer to sell complete)with 4:375-1 centre $400 Koni 90/10 shocks for the front with firm springs and stiff Koni shocks and firm springs for the rear $150 custom made 297mm? slotted front discs $250 with lower control arms/hubs etc Early style dr30 rear lights in good condition ( very rare) $250 also have brand new in box late dr30 rear lights, never been touched and the box opened for inspection cost me an arm and a leg, so they wont be cheap. $500 all doors are complete as is boot and bonnet in good nick $50 each front guards are good, $30 each front and rear bumper bars $40 each( rear has 4 speed holes? but otherwise good) front grill $20 1 nismo genuine bottom spoiler for dr30 (plastic) maybe the only one in australia and super rare. realistic offers only pics will be up over the next couple of days and can be sent to phones as needed. postage to be paid for by the buyer, and free delivery within adelaide.( except for the rear cradle and bonnet, trailer hire needed for those) the shell of the car is in great cond,i can cut panels out if needed but maybe no postage for those. also there is an electric sunroof but has been siliconed shut. 1 brand new alternator for l24 $50 interior has good rear seats in grey velour $50 front seats are from a hr31 in black and grey$150 centre console from dr30 $20 and $10 for the stock one dash pad in good nick( grey) $50 1 dr30 dash and 1 mr30 dash, both pretty much the same, dr30 has lower k's both have factory boost gauge. $50 each 2 lots of headlights, 1light has rub marks on the lens but could be polished out, $ 60 for the good set an $40 for the other 1 brand new clutch cylinder $40 brake booster and or master cylinder $20 anything else needed let me know cheers, troy 0420 734 794
  19. the r30 suspension is totally different to an r31 . the only parts that will fit would be the interior. i am trying to discover if the r31 front cross member will bolt up to the r30 as i know you can put front r31 struts(40 mm lower) into an r30 but not the other way round the r30 diff is an r180 and the r31 is live axle borg warner
  20. my 84 mr30, currently under re-shell and rb30 upgrade ( ) colour: blue with silver 2 tone (soon to be just silver) brakes: custom slotted disc's with z32 4 pots dr30 disc rear with r200 lsd diff suspension: koni 90/10 front with cusco adj strut tops , rear stiff koni shocks interior: hr31 front seats standard velour grey rears wheels: watanabe rs8 16 x 7&8 +15 rear taillights from early dr30 but also have brand new inbox late dr30 lights for special occasions has had rb20 redtop then silvertop then 323kw @ wheels rb30 then back to 160kw silvertop now awaiting new heart( 25/30?)
  21. Hi, how much for the damaged head with inlet manifold- minus adj cams and poncams? also without fuel injectors and regulator. cheers
