  1. I dropped my ride to the point were the top of the tyre is just hidden or level with the guard, according to a preformance handling book "i was reading on the net". At this point the guard is a good indicator that you are at optimum hight for preformance handling, also not adversly effecting stroke and geometry ie. loads of neg camber. but you should experiment with different springs.
  2. ive got the same KYB's and lowerd kings not the super lows though. not bad i think they are a progressive rate, the coils get tighter closer to the top. comfy to ride on uneven roads and pritty stable during a spirited hills run. i would recommend some decent bump stops too. i also have whiteline adjustable sway/roll bars front/back. seem ok for now.
  3. would the pump also make a creaking / groaning noise at full lock??
  4. ive noticed in the last few days in the morning while ive been warming up my car. Ive rolled back out of my drive, turned my wheel and its not smooth it kind or turns easy then resistance then easy kind of like a wobble. Could it be the power steering belt slipping in the cold? Any sugestion on how to test if its the rack or pump conking out, much appreciated. PS. car is a HR31 skyline RB20DET
  5. i trimmed mine to fit in my 31's rear garnish. rounded the corners and put the pinstrip back on with vinyl. I havnt had any troubles. oh yeah and a mate of mine got a set of small plates for car bike racks. we just rubbed of the "sa better by bike" and put em on his car. Since they are allowed on bike racks when the cars rear is obscured by the rack/bike, surly its legal to fit them staright to your car?? he's had em on for a year now.
  6. ask me too. i run a printers in norwood cheap cheap!!!
  7. i was give the rx2 at 16. took two years to get all the missing parts and do a full respray. she hit me at about 60 and i got smashe dinto a commo in front of me. how ugly a corolla and a commo attached to my mazda.. insurance can be a shit. i got market value.. this is the part that makes me cry,, i got 2000 for the accident.. tell me where i can buy an original rx2 for 2G. i hope insurance dosnt screw you over buddy. 16 and having a R33 you pimp!
  8. sorry for the bad luck, at least you are positve ie.. here comes a gtr. my first crash and car was the same, i had an original s2 RX2 capella. some fat bird in a corolla locked it up while i was stationary at the lights, " she must have been looking in the bottom of a KFC bucket and didnt notice the lights" and smashed into my mazda. it still breaks my heart to think about it. no offence to KFC lovers
  9. yeah it wasnt really a option to buy it, i just wanted to know what its value is.. i know 2 yrs ago when i was looking at 32 it seemed normal to pay between 10-15 for a good turbo. what are they going for these days. oh and 32gtr were around 30. whats it like these days?
  10. yeah. ive had may fill of stuffing with molested cars, my gts31 was original when i got it and its so much nicer to deal with, as far as maintenance and modification. no missmatch of dodgy bolts and nuts and misc. parts. my dram is 32 gtr. i just have to be patient and hold out.
  11. i run a 1200mm wide vinyl plotter and 2 large format digital printes. so i can cut graphics and also print images etc and be applied to car bodies, Fast and furious style.. if anyone has small sticker they want produced just PM me, or if someone has grand ideas i would like to give it a go. we could work it out
  12. Hi Guys, I was wondering what you would value a R32 2 door. specs as follows. RB20 DE silvertop converted to turbo, i dont know if its a standad turbo or not. front mount intercooler cat back exhaust 3" nice paint and body, however i do think the car has been crash and reapaired. certain of the fact actually. what would be a fair price to pay.??
  13. size; XXL No Nickname No zipper Happy to wait or pay more to have it done elseware.
  14. Cheers for the advice guys. I was going to only push the stock turbo to 10psi and only a cat back exhaust because i havnt decided on a second turbo so i might need a custom dump pipe. I have a pod boxed in a modded factory air box so it look standard. My new 2.5" intercooler pipework will follow original system, so fingers crossed is should look pritty standar under the hood. Most people say NICS ecu cant be chipped however i have heard or them being chipped in build posts on r31 forum, now i think of it.
  15. is DR DRIFT on this forum, or got a website?? my plans are fit my intercooler, 3" exhaust from cat. and boost up the standard turbo, till it craps itself and the go r33 turbo. How dose the chipped ecu effect preformance,, ie. more power over rev range or better low RPM response?
  16. so scrap the ecu and plenum and its on parr with the later model rb20s? im currently considering the r33 turbo or something cheap of ebay. not sure yet. where did u get your ecu chipped, i didnt know if anyone dose em anymore beeing so old?
  17. lol.. yeah people bag the old nics, it servs me well though. .. ist funny i went on one of the r31skyline club "hills runs" in SA and managed to ge away from the pack, i was asked what motor i had..haha its not the power its the way u use it....... well thats what i have convinced my girfriend anyway..lol
  18. excellent i recon the heavy duty organic is the go. I drive grip through the hills, occasionaly slide but usually its from entry no a kick from my left foot on the clutch. My NICS is still running nicely, only just had to do the first timing belt in its life. Only about 70k on the clock when i got it, dosent miss a beat. Will go silver top in future but i dont see the point yet considering the nics is quite fresh still.
  19. cheers mate, im not sure wether to go with extreme or excedy.. i know in the extreme range they list 2 clutches for the RB20. did u go a heavy duty organic in the excedy, what it like to drive??
  20. Car; 1986 HR31 RB20DET NICS. "import" Im having trouble confirming if a clutch for a RB20DET ECCS eg. later model Hr31(89) or R32; will fit the Early RB20's product codes or advice would be much appreciated, cheers
  21. i like jugz layouts personaly. I definatly think final designs need to be put to a vote. My personal opinion is keep it simple, even to the point of no user name, as each top would have to have custom printing/embrodery adding to the individual price.
  22. I noticed that when i went i looking at bits, the only photos they could show me of completed cars were low res photos of the net. Also noticed that a lot of the front bar they had in the widow were extremley poor quality as you could see there was prob only one layer of mat then gel coat in places. made me laugh as one dude there mentioned they were the best you could get. i waked out.
  23. check the nut that attached the rack to chassi, mine was loose and for ages i could hear a light glunk and knock over unever road on the left front. It fooled me becasue the nut is on the left hand side of the rack in the hr31's.
