hey guys im stuck at the moment and cant move faward till i get this answered.. do the clutch to flywheel bolts use any sort of washers?? because im converting my car from auto to manual i didnt take it apart to knonow how its suppose to be, i just have the bolts which were given to me.. looking in the service manual diagram of the flywheel/clutch it doesnt show a washer but it doesnt make sence to me why it wouldnt use one, can somone please clear all this up for me so i can move on..

darrin i only just understood what this comment ment, when i first read it i haddnt seen the bracket or the handbrake, should have read it again, anyway so i can just get away with bending that tab flat on the 33 handbrake, so simple, so stupid of me not to nottice... just ment your stagea bracket is the same as the r34 and the type S stagea uses the same handbrake as the R34.. did u have hight issues in the consol like others do requiring spacers??? i dont have my console yet to test this

im not having much luck.. just measured the cable i was given, about 720mm so theres my problem possibly diferent between 2 and 4 door??, also lost my flywheel bolts so looks like im off to the wreckers again tommorow anyway, lets hope this is the last time... any1 got anymore thoughts on the handbrake issue im having, will i ever get this car back on the road

what bracket did you use on your stagea?

no i didnt check the lenths on the cables b4 i swapped them over, i dont have the manual stagea consol but i lined it up using the pic you posted of your bracket... maybe the 34 is slightly diferent.. the feet were diferent on the two handbrakes, the 34 both seemed flat and on the r33 they were both on diferent angles.. not sure which way the stagea would have gone???, i didnt have too much of a go at connecting up but maybe pnce its all connected up things might work out fine, ill measure my 34 cable and see if its 750mm.. i dont remember seeing any other adjusters on the other end of the cable but ill have another look

hey guys, ive finaly got around to ripping out my gearbox for the manaul conversion and the keep geting wrong parts continues.. the handbrake bracket i got was out of an R34 and the handbrake i got after i was given the wrong one is an R33... i didnt realise they didnt fit together till last week and i went and swapped it over for an R34 handbrake, ive dummy fit it all on the tunnel and the handbrake cable where it connects to the 2 handbrake cables at the back is about 100mm too short, ive extended the handbrake nut out all the way and it doesnt seem to reach.... so after all my blabbing on is has any1 else uses an R34 handbrake???? also is the handbrake ment to point straight up or slant alot to the driver side... looks abit funny but i guess thats how its ment to be??

had any1 in melbourne still got there wreck laying around, need to drill out the spot welds on the hand brake mount on the tunnel, or does any1 know any wreckers in melbourne that have one.. struggled today to even find an import wrecker around me, pretty frustrating..

mine was doin the same in december. i gave up and am converting to manual.. if u have to keep driving it and u have to sit on higher speeds if u turn your car off while your driving put it in nutural then start her back up and then back in drive it should make it into 4th.... till you have to stop at lightsd again.. i know its annoying, i had to do it a couple of months

once again i think the wreckers have given me the wrong part... f**kers.. i tried to put the old GTR clutch i had on the one they gave me, didnt fit and the starter motor ring was diferent .. 32 GTR clutch it is then.. thanks guys we got there eventualy

All rb flywheels rnt the same, I just compared the one I was given being told it was an r34 flywheel.. To my r32 gtr flywheel I had and they are difrtrnt.. So confused what to do now... Gtr or r34 flywheel... The guy at exedy said gtr push type kit.. Mote feedback from other guys please

i might see if ican find a 33 at the local pick apart then cause the import ones didnt have what i wanted.. also what clutch is every1 using?? my mates gunna order me an exedy clutch, do i just get one to suit an R34 or does the r34 use a pull type clutch?? im using a 32 gearbox so its a push type...

mmm, i cant wait 3 weeks for that.... i might have to make up a temp one, did you weld yours to the tunnel or are they riveted on like in that other guys pic??

and u got that bracket localy???

ill go into nissan tommorow and see what they can do for me.. that part number on the bracket is that a stagea one or an R34 one?? also is this diagram right?? it just seems strange that there isnt anything siting flat on the fire wall instead of the circular points around the bolts being the only thing in contact with the fire wall,

i dont know what handbrake they gave me but it was the wrong one, it had R33 in texta on it by mistake, all good now and have the right one, where do i get that bracket from?? do i realy need it?? has any1 else made there own brackets??? or is it a cheap part to get??? all the frontcuts i looked at today had been cut just after the gearstick hole

sorry guys dont know what happend there with it coming up 3 times, also does any1 have a pic of the back of an R34 clutch pedal?? mine fits in fine i just dont like the way it attaches to the firewall, looks loke its ment to have another piece in it to sit against the firewall better, ill take some pics of mine and post them when i get a chance

i spoke to T.O.S.S.A today they are in melbourne, they quoted me $850 fitted so i guess thats my best way to go considering it will work out the same as a max's and im assuming it will be cirtified, i assume the tossa ones would be, i guess i should have asked that today, ill post up all the details tommorow... has any1 else on here got one from them??

just rang up today, prices have gone up again, $675 no plus $35 delivery.. is this still my best option?
