Ok chill its fixed and driving only to keep it running til its tuned no revs no boosting. I'll put up pics later of it for those interested or had/having similar issues.
-
FIXED!!! Thanks all for your replies. I put the flex pipe between the afm and steel intake pipe and bent it down to disturb the air flow... No more stalling
-
Ill put the pod on and rotate it, just out of interest why could that help? I found my 3" flexi pipe so I will bend that down off the pipe and attach the afm and pod. If that doesnt fix I will assume its something else. I'll take photos anyway in case it does fix it to show ppl with similar issues one way to tempirarily fix it.
-
The afm is attached to the standard airbox so its about as far away as I can get. Trying to think of a way to disturb the air coming back through the afm. Again, the more things I try the more I can rule out.
-
Robots that was one another thing unigroup said about more/different levels of air passing through the afm on decel and creating turbulance due to the now larger intake pipe. If I get time today i will check over everything again but once its found and sorted ill post it up.

Thanks guys, mixed messages here but I ended up going and talking to UniGroup who I hope to book it in to and tune it once it's running right and I have been given a list of things to try out. From what i have been told there, and from lots of you on here it appears more to be an air leak from something or a sensor not hooked up properly as a possibility. Anyway it's home and if I can't fix it it's on a trailer to be fixed. I don't want to risk any damage to anything. Thank you for all the opinions and possibilities, the more things I can try the more I can rule out, if one of them doesn't fix it. Cheers Liam

Thanks for the feedback. I won't be driving it til its tuned.

I have already mentioned whats been changed. before issues: S2 RB25DET Power FC tuned R34 NEO turbo Splitfires 3" exhaust FMIC Recirculating GFB bov Stock intake and airbox They are all the mods that were done and it was running perfectly. Changed the turbo Modded the intercooler pipe to suit steel intake pipe with all hoses attached as if it were the factory one.
-
The bov is plumbed back permantly on one side and i have tried with both the atmo attachment and the plug in so it was completely recirculating. Again this is no change to how its been for the past 5 years. yes it now has a steel 3" intake pipe but all the plugs are the same for the bov and breather etc. its just a metal copy of it pretty much to retain the stock airbox until i get another one made and afm position.
-
Its a GFB bov and its been on there for years. it drove fine to get it home in the fact it was smooth and could change gears etc but as soon as the clutch went in it and the revs dropped at a set of lights will stall. The gear changes dont see the revs drop enough so thats why it seemed to drive if that makes sense. Even sometimes on decel it can get a bit shuddery. I dont intend on driving it anymore until it is tuned I just dont want an already expensive tune to turn into an expensive fix and tune so was just looking for an answer in case it was something I could do and then get it tuned.
-
I had to get it home..... its tuned just not for this turbo which is running 7psi gate pressure. have checked hoses and cant find anything

Hi, Had my GT3076 installed yesterday and the car wont idle after driving. Drove fine before the switch. Could it be tune related? Previously had a PFC tuned for a FMIC 3" exhaust, stock afm and R34 NEO turbo. only things to change are some of the plumbing from turbo to cooler, intake pipe and obviously the turbo. If I start it cold it idles fine. Once i drive it and pull up in traffic it just stalls and takes about a minute of me trying to gently feather the throttle til it idles. Any help please?

Get the revs up pussy. 1st gear! Sounds great tho. U get my pic? Have to get some video soon of it being able to do decent things. -
Its more the fact it was against the law. If he did have a special note from his mum or whoever to say he could drive it he could have shown it to the police... I don't blame him for buying the car he wants but like many people even on this forum. If you buy a car that your legally not allowed to drive, don't have a cry when you get caught. Same as breaking any other law.
-
Lol.. If you have the cash spend it. Still a p plater tho and just coz he is famous doesnt make him exempt from the law. I don't think he is iconic just yet. He hasn't really done anything iconic yet.

Engine Light Flashes When High Boost
FordyR31 replied to Jack-'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I wasn't suggesting he use the stock ecu all the time... Just suggesting he try it out to trouble shoot and see if the engine light still comes on under boost. Like trying a different AFM to see if your AFM is stuffed..... Try a different ecu to see if its the tune/ecu or something else. Considering the current owner bought it this way it may help it may not. If he is going to get it re-tuned why not get it tuned on a lesser octane fuel then always use 98 octane? -
Engine Light Flashes When High Boost

Half bar boost. Isn't that factory anyway? Its about 7psi. If that's the case try a stock ecu and see if it still does it. -

R34 For A Teenager
FordyR31 replied to The One Know as Blake's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
OMG I came to give advice... I stay for the above pic. End of the day we can tell him the best way but we all remember getting our licence... Having a cool is TOP priority and fair enough, we don't grow out of it. The worst thing you can do tho is buy something that attracts a lot of attention from the police for the wrong reasons. I like R34 4 doors turbo or non. From a p plate perspective its almost perfect. Its an R34 for starters, non turbo, can make it look nice, but thats where the trouble starts. U can get rims coilovers exhausts. Suddenly your perfect p plate car is getting u pulled over every other day, u get pissed off with it, ur paying massive insurance on the thing and there is a good chance ur gonna have an accident in it at fault or not. I wanted an HR31 GTS-X/R32 GTS-t but had an 86 barina for my p's and this was before the p plate laws. Such good times with that car lol. My advice is, cheap to run, easy to get parts for, cheap to insure, reliable..... Then as said, once ur off ur p's or if u have the cash while ur still on ur p's, get a good car that ur gonna have for a few years no matter what. Build it up, spend ur money getting it nice then once ur on ur full license not only do u have a good reliable cheap daily, u have a nice weekend/project car.
