  1. Jash was trying to offload all his FJ's and gear awhile ago but his pricing was a little steep . Wanted $1000 for turbo FJ with no ex manifold or turbo or 'box etc. Offered $600 but I think he got offended
  2. The turbo on my DR has shat and have been told that the GT series turbo's, in my case a GT3071, are throw away and not rebuildable, anybody have any confirmation on this? If this is the case where's best place to get a replacement??
  3. Yeh got all Todds gear, even got the front cut as well. Have recently hurt the turbo (originally thought it was an engine failure, had to find out the hard way about that) so waiting to get that repaired and it's back on the road.
  4. Yeh there are a few pics of it on here in the classic Skylines piccy section. And yeh I was happy with the price with all the mods it has plus the overall condition, snapped it it when I had the chance
  5. We deffinately need more DR's in Perth, along with mine I believe there are only about 4 other road going versions. Have tried to get a difinitive number but everyone seems to be hiding their DR30's over here. Mines an 83 RSX (originally) non-intercooled now running GT30, forgies, cams etc and with only 68000k's on the clock. I paid $14000 for it tho.
  6. Yeh NIB, maybe it was all the work on racetracks that did it, have found a few things since I brought the car which I'm not all happy with but the car is still in amazing condition for it's age. As far as what is wrong with it I'm not altogether sure yet but thinking it might be a spun bearing, havta wait till I get it looked at to be sure, and very glad Todd did decide to sell it because I have been looking for a good example of (in WA) this fairly rare example of a Skyline.
  7. Yeh mate got the car off Todd, grabbed his front cut as well. Don't suppuse u know much about the clutch and it's origins do u?
  8. Ok thanks guys, sounds like the Tenagah boys might very well get the task of rebuilding the FJ back uo to its300+rwhp status once again
  9. Was in at Tenagah Mortorsport the other day and have asked about diagnosis and repair on my FJ20 which has an unknown issue. (possibly spun bearing) Has anyone used them and how good is their pricing / quality compared to say Hyperdrive who are flat out and can't help me for at least another 4 months. Cheers, Vaughan
  10. Hey guys and gals, as the topic header says I'm trying to find out how many road going DR30's there are in Western Australia. I personally have a white DR30 RSX coupe (used to belong to a guy by the name of Todd Moralee, also brought a front cut off him ) and just want to know how many fellow enthuisiasts there are in our fine state. Cheers, Vaughan.
  11. Sadly won't be in the DR30 as the FJ has had a little malfunction, but I'll still be there with a few of my Datto mates in a red FJ powered 180B wagon, and yeh Dale will keep an eye out for the might Falcon panno . And lets hope for a better year than last year hey.
  12. Yeh no worries on the pics dood, will post up more when I take some more, load them up etc etc. Have had a bit of bad luck with an engine failure recently so if anyone in WA has a spare FJ turbo for sale let me know, is ok if it needs a rebuild. Cheers, Vaughan.
  13. Hey I'll be there as a chicane marshal, I'll be in white DR30 rsx so if ya see me come say hello as I'm new to this site and don't know anybody yet.
  14. Yeh no worries, here's a cupla pics
  15. Year:1983 Model: DR30 rs-x Body type: coupe Colour: white
  16. Over here in Perth DR30's are very rare. I purchased one recently and am stoked with what I got, car has original 68000k's on the clock and has a few decent mods and has made 355rwhp on 19psi. Can't say I've seen another one in WA but have been told of at least 3 others. The FJ20et is an excellent powerplant with very strong internals, mine has standard rods and crank with forgies, cams, 550 injectors, FMIC and wolf ecu and is an absolute weapon that looks very unassuming. Like I said I'm stoked with the car and intend to hang onto it for a long while yet as the car is in outstanding overall condition.
