  1. rb25 block $250 for me I have an rb20det pistons 4AGZE say $200 maching 20-30 per cylinder. worse case $180 new rings $120 Bearings $100?? blueprinting roughly $200 New headgasket (metal) $200 All labour is done by myself and a mate. My mate has done the rb30/25 to a mate's r33. The other stuff like cams etc can be done at a later date right? This is worse case scenario. Then, i can sell rb20 crank and rods, good rb25 block and rb25 and rb20 pistons. Thankyou very much for your help sydney kid, straightened up a few things.
  2. im waiting for the trucks with the air bag suspension!!! flick a switch and the front of the truck jumps up and stops bouncing. Hey homies, check my ride!! haha
  3. melv, if your quiet friday night send me a pm me. We'll be meeting in brisbane for a fun cruise you may be interested in. Do you know how to take the gtr out of 4wd mode??
  4. damn it, i was hoping you were a good looking check out chick doin a price check! as for bp ultimate, there is a bp round the corner from my work on fairfield rd, that has 10c difference. I know it's only 1c but i try not to make a habit of using that servo for that reason. Im a povvo bloke!!! hehe
  5. lol, what do you do?? I can go and back you up mate if you like??? Otherwise it will be interesting his reply when you say there isn't a genuine nissan green with the 32's
  6. knore dude!!! your a lucky bugger!! Damn straight, the heat is ridiculous in brisbane, i was just playing NFSU in the office and im sweating... its nite time!!!! Its not so bad in here, as its airconditioned but during the peak in the day even the aircon struggles to condition air ! hehe, if you wnat to try and extract some more heat throw some chunky washers under the back of your bonnet between the latch and the bonnet. Make sure tho that the bonnet doesn't sit above the bonnet catches for safety reasons.
  7. lol, damn!!! Alright then. Was worth a try anyways!! Thanks for the info roy
  8. What about boring the rb20 block out to fit the rb25 pistons? This should work shouldn't it as the rb25 pistons are larger than the rb20's and i use the rb25 crank rods?? Cheers Jayson
  9. i know, we thought the timing belt had skipped a rung, but no.
  10. yeah i agree ng. I don't think i'd like to die in my car for the fact of my relatives and people that i know all going, "i knew he was gonna kill himself in that car" and "I told you he was a crazy driver" or something like that. you were on the cruise the other night hey? I had the multicoloured car!!! hehe
  11. skyrine dave does have a good point about the site. They do comment on how he was doing the wrong thing then do the same themselves. I know cuz im there on a few of them! Besides that, lets get back to the topic on hand. Very sorry to hear about it. Makes you wonder if your gonna loose one of your mates next in something like this as i know the majority of my mates are in the car scene. We went on a run one night and my mate's brakes faded coming down the hill and he luckily pulled up just before the wall.
  12. 15 degrees?? Mine is set at 20 as i thought that was standard. I took it to a dyno place and they set it at 35deg. I wasn't very happy when i found out.
  13. lol, im gonna start a business i think. Can't wait till the 2nd Gran Turismo edit comes out.
  14. Actually i know where i may be able to get an rb25 head cheap but then there is still a whole heap of bolts on i'll need i guess. Think i'll just forget about it.
  15. yeah i heard that also, but saw no proof of anybody going thru with it. Would be interesting to see.
  16. that's a real pain, Any ideas about putting an rb25 block and internals in replacement for the rb20 block? With the 2.2 L did he just bore it out and put bigger pistons in?? Thanks mate
  17. An oppurtunity has come up to get an rb25 block with crank, pistons etc all still there. Im throwing up two ideas, trying to put the rb25 bottom end in instead of the rb20 bottom end or using rb25 internals in the rb20 block. I've done a few searches but information is very slim. Can anyone add some light to the situation?? Cheers Jayson
  18. maybe??? WE had a couple of imports that we didn't know jump in and out of the cruise. There was a black silvia, do you mean onevia?? I've got a silvia with a white 180sx front on it??? That would have been us. Zoix's purple skyline was there too so maybe u saw that?

  25. On the 1st of January, this thursday coming, we have a small cruise starting at Mt Cootha. Garage Titan is a Qld and ACT based performance car club with not a massive amount of members but more a smaller group who all know each other. Its made up more of the local silvia, 180 owners but i thought i'd see if any of you wanted to join us this thursday night for our unnoficial cruise. A few people are on holidays or will be very drunk so it won't be big, but it will comprise of meeting at 9pm at the mt cootha lookout in the lower carpark. (turn left at the roundabout halfway up the mountain). We will be departing at 9:30pm. Between then we will be discussing what destinations to go depending on what everyone wants. It may be a good oppurtunity for the local skyline owners to meet up also and chat to fellow enthusiasts. Let me konw if your interested. Cheers Jayson
