  1. Too bad you never tried it, costs nothing to install one of these - all you have to do is set the ignition to the factory setting and then plug the sucker in. What costs money is the specialist dyno tuning afterwards to get max power. In the meantime you can enjoy it by using higher boost than the factory ECU will allow. I had one on my R33 GTS-t and would like to buy this one for my RSFour S but $1600 is definitely a bit rich, no matter whether they're scarce or not. Good luck.
  2. Hi, I'm on the south coast of NSW near Berry, about 2 hours drive south of Sydney. But hey, a courier will take them almost anywhere..
  3. This catalytic converter was on the car for only a few months when I was talked into buying a Hi-Flow cat. This did not seem to make any difference in lap times so I can only assume this one was just as good. For sale for $80.
  4. HKS Hipermax Performer coilovers - set of 4 for sale $400 I have just taken these off a car fresh from Japan. I don't know their history and they felt OK, but since I plan to do supersprints in the car, I decided to replace them with a new competition set. These coilovers showed around 80% on the shock tester so the best thing to do would be to have them rebuilt by TSR in Slacks Creek QLD. (www.shockreco.com.au) for $265 each. TSR reckon they do them better than new, so all up you would have paid $1460 for what would be effectively a new set of HKS coilovers.
  5. I had a Cusco 1-way diff in my R33 and couldn't stand it on the road, although it was fine on the track and around half a second quicker than the best I could do with the viscous LSD at Wakefield. I was so desperate to get hold of one of these Torsen diffs that I bought it on spec, hoping it would fit the R33 but it didn't. Splines didn't quite line up and, from memory, the R34 half shafts have 6 studs instead of 5 or some such problem. Have hung onto the diff, thinking I might buy an R34 but now have a nice series 2 modified Stagea RS Four S. Consequently, I've never had a chance to use this diff but from all I've read about them they are the best thing to have.
  6. Location is south coast NSW but that's academic as the thing can be shipped wherever by courier. If you're interested I'll get a quote from Fastways..
  7. Used R200 torque sensing diff centre for R34 Gtt. $400 These diffs do not lock up suddenly like a 1-way or 2-way ramp type LSD, but will lock up progressively when traction is lost during cornering or in the wet. They will not understeer your car into a corner under decelleration. They offer superior handling on wet and slippery tarmac, allowing earlier accelleration out of corners. When adhesion between tyres and the road is good, these diffs behave like an open diff, so they also don't thump through the corner under a light throttle. Unlike clutch-type LSDs that are at their best when new but continually wear out from that point onward, the helical gears in this diff do not wear out, so handling and performance is the same throughout the life of your car. In straight line acceleration from a standing start, they will lock solid giving the maximum traction off the line. These diffs are virtually indestructible.
  8. Did you find a turbo? I have one off my R33.
  9. I have a GTS-t snorkel you can have if you want it
  10. I just bought a series 2 Stagea rolling on 18"x7.5'' wheels with a 41 mm offset but it has spacers which push the wheels out about 20 mm and way clear of the caliper. I haven't tried them without the spacers because they would probably look like rubbish that way. I believe the stock wheel size is 16"x7" but I don't know the offset. The wheel information on the door pillar says that the standard tyre size is 225x50x16 or 205x55x16. I still have a set of 17"x18"track wheels which I used on my Skyline R33 GTS-t so I put them on the Stagea just to see how well they fit. They use to clear the R33 caliper by less than 2mm but on the Stagea it's more like 25mm +. Their offset is also 41 mm. The only difference seemed to be that they protruded from the wheel arch by the extra half inch.
  11. I'm trying to decide whether or not I should send the HKS coil-overs on my Stagea RSFour S to a company in Slacks Creek Qld for reconditioning. It seems to be the only place anywhere that claims to be able to rebuild coil-overs, and reckons, moreover, that they will be better than new. They charge $265 per unit. The alternative recommended to me is to fit a set of BC Racing coil-overs for $1199 from Just Jap in Kirrawee, so price wise it's very similar. Anyone had any experience with the shock reco place in Slacks Creek?
