  1. I have a Type M as well. Can you link me up to the one you bought??
  2. Hey Guys, I've had my standard wheel on for years and now I wanna put an aftermarket steering wheel on that I found on eBay. They said for $20 extra I can get the boss kit but it doesnt work for airbag and hicas cars so I guess that wouldnt go well in the R32 right? I dont think I even use HICAS though the light on my dash for hicas is always lit (the orange one) dunno what this means tho.. What should I be looking for when I'm trying to get this boss kit? Anyone know any cheap places to get one? I wanted to pay ~$100 for the boss kit + steering wheel combo. Any help would be great! Thanks.
  3. Hey Guys, As per title I need a new front bar to fit and paint onto my R32 GTS-T. PM with pic's and prices. I'm looking to pay around the ~$100-$150 mark. I'm in SE Suburbs. Melb. Thanks.
  4. Hey guys, Just after a new orange indicator (drivers side) for my r32 GTS-T. I'm in Melbourne, can pick up if local. Looking to spend around $30-35, there should be a few floating around people wanna just get rid of. Cheers!
  5. Hey guys, As topic states I have an R32 with an RB20 and I need 2 replacement coilpacks. PM me if you have any and the price. I dont expect it to cost much. Thanks.
  6. Okay have organized for the rear upper control arm, just need KYB rear struts now
  7. Just sent you an SMS mate. Hopefully thats what I need. Anyone else?
  8. Hey guys, Looking for right hand rear upper control arm and a replacement KYB strut or 2 maybe. Looking for cheap parts, if you can help me PM your number and I'll get at you! Thanks.
  9. hey mate i need a replacement rear upper control arm for my r32 gtst, would your part be the same and fit? PM me and let me know how much.
  10. I've used HPF for simple things which any mechanic could do, nothing major like this. Praise to them as they sure know how to do a service! Well obviously I'm not a mechanic, I don't know about repairs which is why I asked on here in the first place to learn. Not being a mechanic I dont know every part of the car and how it works, if I did I'd fix it myself!!!! I now know what work is to be done, and realize what HPF suggested was ridiculous. They said for $800 they could try and weld and patch up the K frame temporarily, and almost $2000 to get a replacement K frame and swap it (same job quoted $200 parts from Trent + $300 for the swap at GT Hyper). Nice mark up there HPF! They did try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge, which makes them f*king dirty! Making someone who crashed their car pay 2-3 times more then it should cost? Very low thing to do and I'm happy to expose it here At the end of the day, they tried to charge more then what they should've so I'm not retracting sh*t I stand by what I said.
  11. +1 Only had to call them once and that was because they changed the authentication at the exchange so your password has to be letters and numbers, so I called up had that fixed up and thats the only hiccup I've had with them in the last 1-2 years
  12. Hey guys, Just after a new Vertex front bar for my R32 in good condition as I ripped a big chunk out of mine when I hit a gutter! If you can supply send me a PM! Thanks, Lance.
  13. Woah HPF they are such a rip! Yeah Trent checked it out today and said it wasn't a big job, that it was fairly easy so I'm hoping thats the case.
  14. The blue zone would cover the distance from the exchange who can actually get the service connected onto that exchange. I have TPG ADSL2+ Unlimited plan, I live pretty far from the exchange though so I max out my connection at 260kb/s but very very happy with the service TPG provide! Best value for money in my opinion, I have friends with them as well and no issues!
  15. Jump on http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/ and put in your address and it'll say how far you are from the exchange, and what speeds you SHOULD be getting. That way you know theoritically what speeds you should be getting, The estimated speed it says for me is pretty bang on what I'm actually getting at home!
  16. You said it! I usually change my tyres whenever needed, I swapped my fronts a few months ago and when I did that they said the rear's were fine for now, and I guess it just slipped my mind to keep checking to see when I'll need to replace it. My mate works as a tyre fitter, he's pricing me up some 19" 235's, and with the rim I'm thinking of seeing if its possible to have fixed, because to me it doesn't look that bad
  17. Okay heres the update! Took my car from HPF and paid them $380 just to provide and change the lower control arm and go over it. Sounds like a bit much but whatever had to get it outta there. Took my car past Status Tuning and had a chat to Trent and thank GOD I spoke to him, as he was saying the job isnt that hard, max 1 hour! Whereas this morning at HPF they were going on about how big the job is, actually using the words "mega job" lol which all turned out to be bullshit. So I'm gonna get the rear cradle and arms off Trent and either have my mate do it, or wait until Trent comes back on Jan 10th and have it done then. This pretty much means instead of me having to sell my car for parts, since its only gonna cost $300-400 to get it back on the road I get to keep it YAY! Then I just gotta buy a new rim and 2 new rear tyres (had to buy new tyres anyway) Gotta give a big thanks to Trent for being so helpful, top bloke
  18. Hey Trent! Dont know if you remember my car? I've taken it to you for work before, I cant remember what it was for but I was also gonna get a remap but ended up not doing it. That sounds pretty good, I'll definitely take it. I'm gonna go pick my car up from HPF on the trailer, maybe I'll drive it to your shop since its only around the corner and see if you can check it out?
  19. I got them to just leave it after doing the rear lower control arm, and the bill came to $380! Dan_J yeah HPF in Dande. I think they said the upper control arm or something couldnt sit right because of the damage to the k frame, but I'm not sure. They said without the K frame they can weld someshit and just that + lower control arm + labor it will be $800 and thats just a temporary fix and theres no guarantee even that will hold it. So could I then get a rear cradle for an s13 or an r32 for parts? or even buy a half cut? could I use GTR parts or they must come off a GTST or it depends on the part? I'm in Hampton Park mate yourself? Yeah I'm gonna tow it back to my place tomorrow, more then happy for you to check it out and give me your opinion! =D
  20. Yeah couldnt afford the crazy amount they wanted for full comp insurance and my dad wouldnt insure it under his name and name me an additional driver so I was forced to use 3rd party fire and theft for a while but had to pay for rego a month ago and couldnt afford to get insurance again but yeah..
  21. gtr fan: How much would a rear cradle end up costing? Okay well very bad news, HPF have quoted me $2000 for the following parts and installation: rear k frame 2 rear struts lower control arm wheel allignment parts equal to $900 labour $900 rest is GST And even then they may not know what else needs changing like the axel or bearings or whatever until they take it apart so if it ends up costing 3-4k then I'm pretty much f*cked! Since they've already bought the lower control arm they're gonna chuck that on, then I'll tow it tomorrow with a tow dolly onto a car trailer and take it home while I figure out what to do with it.. Thinking of maybe selling it as is for 6-7k and just get rid of it, coz someone who's good with cars could then make it worthwhile to fix. I dont wanna spend 3-4k to fix it and then it'll be worth only 9-10k!
