  1. Maybe it was a bit faster I cant remember.. But dont forget bald tires so would think that would make things worse. f**k now they've come back to me saying I'm gonna need a new rear diff k frame. Anyone know how much it would be and how hard are they to find? =(
  2. Thanks KamikazeNinja34 but I'm just gonna let HPF source me a pair for $300 as they said they close up shop on Thursday until Jan 10th, which I had no idea about! Really cant be without a car for that long, so I told them to go ahead and grab: rear lower control arm $180 (could've bought it on SAU for $90 but didnt have the time) 2 x rear struts $150 each + labour My tyre isnt flat but my rim is pretty scratched, but he says at least the car should at least be mobile! Gotta price up 2 new 19" 235 tyres now and I've emailed 3 places who sell rim's with the photo of my car to see if they can identify the rim and let me know a replacement cost for 1 so we'll see how that goes, is there any good places I should know about that have a big range of rims? I emailed the tyre factory, bob jane and MotorSport wheels and tyres.
  3. Thanks RDirty24door I called Nick and he said they were a special kind, and it would be almost $500 for the pair and they dont sell it in singles. Alot more then I wanted to pay lol I'll try and source a cheaper one, HPF said they could find a replacement for around the $200 mark so I'll give them a ring again and see if they can get onto that for me.
  4. Was hoping to try and find a second hand KYB shock but I understand that may be a bit difficult to find. I'll ask HPF for the part number but then again if I'm gonna pay full price might as well get them to source it. They said both have to be the same so long as they sell them I can get 1 instead of having to buy a pair.
  5. I dont understand, do I need KYB rear struts or KYB shocks? Or are they the same thing just named different? If I get the part number, where do I search? Didnt get much results for KYB shocks in the parts of sale forum area =\ Also.. how am I gonna find another rim to replace the one thats stuffed? I bought them off a mate I'd have no clue where to start looking.
  6. You dont know my money situation do you mate? Plan was to use retreads temporarily to get the car on the road until I can afford to buy new tyres which I then will. So what useful advise did you have then??
  7. Okay the guy came back to me and said I need the following: rear lower control arm kyb rear strut (shocker inbuilt) new 19" rim both rear 19" tyres need replacing. I have someone in mind for the control arm, but he said i need a new rear strut or 2 of them that are the same, they said the existing one I have is KYB and it has the shocker inbuilt, does anyone know how hard it will be to find this part? Are these the standard struts that come with the car or afternmarket parts? I want a cheap second hand one. As for the tyre's I tried to find 19" 235 re-treads a few months ago but couldn't find places with them, does anyone know where I could find some?
  8. Okay just had the car towed to HPF. Damnit cost me $210, such bullshit they didnt tell me over the phone when I asked how much it will cost that when they say $190 for the first 8km's, they include their travel from the depot to my car, seriously WTF? So I'm thinking sweet HPF is less then 8ks its gonna cost me $190, which it ended up costing $210. Good thing is the guy said they usually charge salvage fee's or something which he didnt charge so I guess that sort of evens it out a bit. Not a massive issue, just believe if a customer calls and asks for the price you tell them the WHOLE price ffs. Alex at HPF is pretty good, they've fixed my car in the past where others haven't been able to figure out what the problem was! So I trust they will do a good job and tell me what I need to source. My lower control arm is completely bent the tow guy told me, hopefully its not too much more I gotta buy. Does anyone know if I can buy R32 GTR lower control arm/camber arm etc. Are they the same parts that will fit or do I need to get specific R32 GTST parts? My poor baby
  9. Yeah that was the plan. What I'm doing is getting the car towed to HPF, then once its there get them to tell me what parts I need eg. control arm/camber arm etc. then I'll start calling around wreckers and checking on SAU for the parts. Only problem is if the parts for sale are from someone in NSW or QLD or something it will delay the car getting repaired but what can ya do. That way they can fix it up, get the car on the road again, then I'll take it to Vu @ DT Panels and get him to suss out if I need to fix anything else (hopefully not everything else looks okay from what I can see!) Appreciating the helpful comments guys thanks
  10. Yeah that sounds good, I live in Hampton Park. I wanna have it moved tomorrow morning if possible could you ask him to ring me 0401015236. How much did it cost you to replace the control arm and axel? I would too but like I said these people want $254 for the first 8km's to move it, thats why I'll wait until tomorrow when all the workshops are open, I can ring around, find somewhere to tow it to and have it moved there. I'd move it further up on the grass but I cant do it when the tyre is bent! Trying to figure out the best place to find the parts I need, but I wanna take it to a workshop first, have them look over it and tell me what I need to get!
  11. Hmmm only problem now is to find one! I could try calling up panel beaters and asking them but who's gonna lend one to someone they dont know and isn't getting any work done at the workshop?!
  12. Sorry guys but could you explain what a dolly is and how I use it? lol
  13. damn you must be getting onto some good shit if your gonna last through all that lol! Probably end up going Armin.. Nothing else to do and Sensation last 3 years was awesome at Etihad.
  14. No problems mate. Yeah a few places told me that on the phone today, having to go through Accident Towing they are such rip off's its not even funny! Probably cant go the trailer option because the drivers rear wheel wont roll. The front tyre is all good, I turned the car on and turned the wheel and it was all turning perfectly. What about the camber arm as well? Thats what someone else told me. But yeah cool so I could take it anywhere, but then how long is it gonna take the source the parts is the question. Wheel alignment for sure. Thanks for the help! Much appreciated mate.
  15. Hmmm thats tough, its not exactly legally parked see in picture 3, I should be facing the other direction lol, and some of the car is on the grass some on the road. Anyone know what kind of parts I'll need to get? I heard camber arms or controller arm or something.
  16. Gave him a call and left a message. My mate said he was checking out my car and the guy who's house my car is in front of was complaining saying he spoke to the police and council and stuff. I hope nothing bad happens from this? I havent got a call or anything from the cops so hopefully they can sit tight until Monday. I tried to knock on the guys door to explain but he wasnt home.
  17. I've also uploaded a HD video I recorded using my phone, showing the damage and also taking a look behind the bent wheel View:
  18. Hey guys, Long story short, didn't realize how wet it was last night, car kicked out going around 40-50km/h. Now it seems the main problem is I got a chunk missing from the front bar, and the drivers side rear tyre is all bent, which I beleive when the car hit the gutter, the impact mustve hit the tyre first. Lucky the rear bar and guard and everything seems to be okay however I cant drive it since the rear tyre is bent and found out RACV wont tow it since its been in the accident, and that the only people who would tow it cost $254 for the first 8km which is just a ridiculous amount, so if I get it towed I wanna get it towed somewhere Monday (when its cheaper $190 for the first 8kms) and once and for all have them fix the Tyre since the front bar will have to be done at a panel shop. I cant afford to tow it one place for $250, then take it back home then tow it back etc. since this is the worst time of year I'm pretty broke! I wanted to know what you guys think may be wrong with it if you had to judge by photos and roughly how much it would cost to have fixed. I was gonna have it taken to DT Panels on Monday, but then again I don't know if they'll be able to help with the Tyre issue so I wanna fix the Tyre first so I can at least drive the damn thing. Where do you guys suggest would be a good place to take it? It would need to be close to my area (Hampton Park/Dandenong) as the towing fee's are very high I wanna take it somewhere cheap but close. If your gonna say negative shit dont bother, just looking for a bit of help. Ive attached some photos: Thanks in advance!
  19. You went to uni? LOL who would've thought by the stupid sh!t you say.
  20. I got their address, I lost the scrap paper with all the details they gave me, but I'll just go their house once I've got some written quotes ready. If its under $1500 that'll be easy since they'll probably just give me cash.. So under $500 to make the bayside blue paint, sand it and paint it? I have a feeling its gonna cost more then that? Nah, not interested in just doing a cut and polish, I want it resprayed since I've got other marks on the bar anyway.
  21. LOL can you can make your VL have a dose pipe in this game??
  22. Thanks WYTSKY.. I haven't given them the quote yet.. So what I'll probably do is maybe suss out getting a new rear bar, and get the quote for cutting off the old bar and fitting and paint for this new bar.. Yeah the panel beater I spoke to said they dont usually do it but they can spray it while its still attached to the car.. I'm just thinking down the track if I wanna sell my car will people not wanna buy it because the front/side/rear bars are all pretty much attached to the car and you cant take them off? If so, I wanna try fix that, even if its just for the back.. Hmm wander if its possible to pay a bit extra and just have them respray the whole car.. but then again they'd need to take all the bars off yeah?
  23. Just leave it? Are you retarded my car is scratched from someone else, after spending so much money to have it resprayed and for the kit and everything you expect me to be like nahhh f**k it? Plus I got quite a few scratches on the rear bumper so a respray would look nice. Can someone smart comment please.
  24. Hey guys, I've attached the photos of the damage to the bumper, its gonna need a respray at least but heres the problem. The way the last guy put on my body kit he covered all the bolts so I dont have access to simply take off the bar, it would need to be cut off or something.. This panel beater I was talking to said he would need to cut off something starting with E. europhane or something? So if they take it off and it cracks or something hows that gonna work? I think they said the excess is $1500 so if it costs less they can pay it, if it costs more they'll need to go through insurance. The panel beater said they can mask the bar and do it with the bar on, but I'm just thinking since its the other persons fault, maybe I could get them to rip off the bar, if it cracks though and we need to get a new one but we've already given a quote to them hows that gonna work? Plus it may need work on the quarter panel etc if thats affected.. I just have a feeling its gonna cost more then its gonna be quoted to be. Any comments/suggestions? Thanks.
