  1. Very low kms and super condition. Are you looking to give it what it deserves under the bonnet? There are a few 97 S1's and 98 S2's are pretty rare. Autech 260RS with GTR front end is even rarer. I like it..a close contender with Lil Bobbeh's! Just my thoughts..
  2. yeah good point goldzilla. by tha way how much all up for your manual conversion? have you had issues over this with the boys in blue?

    My Big Day

It turned out good hey buddy. Are you still gonna circulate the kit? My projects on hold at the moment. What was the pricetag? Tell me its a manual..just joking I seen another in the darker bayside blue, decent and tidy example though
  4. Hey bro, They have had a Libero GT wagon in nz for a while now with the 4G93T and evo running gear. My mate did a 4G63T conversion very easily and it hammered along. I think the evo wagon is a bit bigger than a rex and is a good compromise for size against a stag. It is a bit pricey but remember it is still a 2006 low km car. They also have GT4 powered caldinas and legnums that are reasonably priced. Check out trademe in nz (Kiwis build killer cars!) and all your regular importers, aus has to get them sooner or later. Coming into some cash next year and I certainly will be rethinking. I still got a soft spot for nissans though..
  5. Yeah bro, Happened to me on my first stag with the standard factory bov and everyone has a theory on how to fix this issue. It is common on autos but can occur with manuals aswell. This caused lots of probs and I couldnt pin point it and also changed the afm. I had the same prob when I went open atmospheric with an Apexi dual chamber and had to plumb back the right air flow on deceleration. A aftermarket computer engine management system or SAFC II can fix this or you need a full plumb back system, I had the same prob on my GTiR with a SARD R2D2 and chose a HKS Eids. Either of these will fix the idle/stalling prob, just depends on how much you want to spend and how far you want to go with later tuning and cost. The SAFC II was the way to go when on the cheap, just up to +1 deceleration air. Also leetom is right about the squealing alternator belt, just adjust, a new one will do it aswell. Stageas are hard to find without rust and doors are usually common, its more along the lines of least amount of rust, mine is pretty clean though. All stags need a full major service and overhaul when bought considering wear and tear on the usual items, it cant be avoided on a 10 year+ car. As I said my second stagea..lessons learnt and still could maintain full open atmospheric venting..PSSSHHHTT!!
  6. You gotta like it buddy , the M35 series is in another league to C34 models. Arent the plastic guards standard on ARX'-4s or maybe on later ones? A bit audi allroadish but nice anyhows, a bit chunkier. A few have hit WA shores and ive seen a few in brisy with affordable price tags. The autech axis is the bomb and I have also seen an Impul version, pity about the axis grille though its a bit limo, I wonder what does the autech package include Interior is luxurious as a prestige touring wagon should be its modern and similar to R35 and is also decent even in lower spec 250RSt. Ive seen some rare manuals at japanese auctions through prestige motorsport three months ago. Cool about the dolphin kit, it sorta needs one. Check out these pics. I also saw my first R35 GTR today in Perth, I nearly died. Enjoy yer ride bro..I hope to have a M35 soon aswell.
  7. Bite me c***ksucker...Im out. To all that took this post for real, and get what Im actually saying, I'll get back 2 ya. I will have grilles and kits soon.
  8. Just a few more words to keep the record straight: 1.) Obviously at the moment I drive a 97 S1 Dayz Stagea in automatic and I don't know of any S1 that comes in a factory manual, unless converted down the track. Why did you not ask? And yes if I was driving the aurion or rav I reckon I would smoke you. 2.) You must have a reading disorder because you have not bothered to read the whole topic where I have reneged on the loose use of pathetic. I am not going to apologise twice. I did this to increase the interest with S2 drivers; it was nothing personal but fuel for controversy so S2 drivers would become interested, you played into my hands, it was too easy dealing with you. It is one thing to read something and another thing to comprehend it. I am not a qualified race mechanic but through spending too much money and experience I am very clued on. 3.) 206kw under the bonnet beneath a 1700kg car is always going to be a problem if you are up against a similar powered lighter car or any half decent V8, have you gone up against stock SS's or HSV or FPV aussie delivered vehicles? Even some high powered fours will easily have you. You must have your hand on it and you are dreaming! Have you ever heard of weight to power ratio. What are you going to do take the doors off..lol..and I'm sure stageas all come with power everything, due to being a prestige touring wagon! The one factor that the stag has on its side is 4WD and is only an advantage in the wet during hard launches or cornering with the right suspension setup, are you going to tell people I am only going to race you if it is wet? By the way stageas aren't the lightest cars just like soarers, 300ZXs etc. I have spoken to a mechanical engineer and a very experienced drag mechanic about this numerous times. Think about Nitro funny cars basically fibreglass and carbon fibre shells with massive powered engines and of course the nice little parachute, check it out and treat yourself one day, now thats speed. 4.) The torque figures of a stock S1 or S2 are not that impressive unless you drive a M35 and even then some real internal work is needed, not just bolt on mods, careful and lengthy tuning is needed, with precision thought of well chosen parts to work together in synchrony in one decent run down the quarter without human error. 5.) I have driven three versions of the stagea, a S1 and a S2, one auto, one tip-tronic and one manual. I seriously couldn't tell much of a difference between the S1 and S2, only with the manual. I really find the paddle steering shift not natural, have you tried changing down then up while entering and leaving the apex of a sharp corner? The manual "S" also comes standard with true factory LSD. Also, I cant wait to drive an M35, people have told me they are a totally different car to the C34 platform. 6.) You must be a boy racer and don't worry, I have been also, but there comes a time in a boy's life when he becomes a man and chooses with his head and not his heart. I bought my stagea for all the right reasons eg: comfort, safety, practicality and especially its stealth nature. This is my fifth import so I have done my homework and all pros and cons were considered and led me back to buying a second Stagea (The first was a bit rusty-bought from the Kanoya Province near the beach in Japan and was a direct personal import-I admit it was a bad choice in the long run, but it got me safely and comfortably around when I travelled down south). Of course I could have bought a S2 but I could not justify paying around 18-20k in PERTH WA at the time, even distinctive have only now dropped their prices. Also I have a life and my quality of life would diminish if I had made this rash decision. Houses go up and cars depreciate so quickly as my wife pointed out. I feel I made the right logical choice. I left my stag in the carport for 8 months, because I basically couldn't put fuel in it and poured money into my mortgage, but in return I made a quick $120 000 on the housing boom. This will support my outright buy of a M35, hopefully Australia's first 6 speed manual! Not to offend any tip-tonic drivers. 7.) I have owned and driven some niceish cars purpose built by XSpeed, Cred and Cypher Industries down the strip and have endured circuit battles with good power, reliability, handling and performance figures. The stagea was built for touring just like a big old school muscle car or hogg. Comparing similar cars is good but you don't need half a brain to understand that your stagea was not really built for speed, just check the non 6 spot brakes on the S1 or S2, Autech 260RS are in a class of their own (eg: Brembos). A true GTR wagon. A smart man once told me, don't bother looking under the bonnet, just look at the anchors! 8.) Please people understand what this debate was about. Someone please justify to me buying a S2 over a S1. Alot of people out there end up paying well into the 25-35K mark just getting their stagea up to standard with alot of other quick and powerfull cars available in the sub 35k mark that will smoke even the toughest muscle cars. Most people end up doing the manual conversion anyways and eventually the 26 goes in, opening up the search for power and burning a hole in the wallet. Then the person bangs his / her head against the wall when they could have bought a manual "S"or Autech even cheaper. If you are looking for nice power buy a R32 GTR on the cheap and build it up to your requirements or until you get scared. I did with my 370BHP RB GTiR, again a nice little package considering weight to power and proven built for speed and reliability also whilst street driven. And yes I have considered luxary pack weight items hence searching out an RB model. I have learnt from spending big on various cars, I should bring up the CA vs SR vs RB debate on SilviaWA..not! 9.) There is a smorgasbord of new wagons coming in to play in Australia and New Zealand such as Legnums, Caldinas, EVO wagons, even RVRs and a smart buyer would question value for money practicality, fuel prices and insurance etc. Most of my fellow kiwi bro's are mad drag enthusiasts; I'm going back there in December, haven't been back in 10 years, now that I call AUS home, and then to Japan next year for the D1 racing events and hope to see some high powered R35s. Sometimes I wish I was still in NZ, the prices and varieties on imports are vast and ridiculously cheap! 10.) So in summary don't get me wrong I am a very happy Stagea driver and I wouldn't have bought one twice if I wasn't. To all you fellow auto pilots out there it has been a bit of a battle for myself converting from being a 5 speed junkie, maybe something I should have kept to myself! I definitely will post up the prices on the copy Dayz kits and grilles for the S1 and S2 and I hope for some sales...I'm even thinking of buying a third Stag, a nice M35 Autech or 260RS next year! Definitely enuff said...
  9. I have drummed up enuff stagea controversy to last me a lifetime. My aim was to see if there is enuff interest in the grilles and Dayz kits for S1 and S2 molds. I have sourced a person to help me with the S2 full kit and I will also do my S1 in the next following few weeks. When the dust settles and I get a good result, I will then post up prices and show examples of quality. To be honest I have put a 10% charge on both kits, and I have been told that they will be cheaper than aussie rival makers over east. Thanks all for showing your interest..keep stagen on! Admins can you please delete topic?
  10. Yeah, I could guess! I have noted just about all are S2 drivers from the "CHEAPER" east coast. Another gloating happy S2 owner..bet he's got the "prime edition" with heated leather to warm his crack..good for you! We should really throw M35's into the S1 vs S2 vs S3 mix because Im seeing some damn cheap prices! (eastern states though.) I reckon you are right stageas aren't really built to be fuel efficient, nissan micras are. Enuff said. Im glad you are loving ya wagon but do you want a grille or bodykit? Molds will be done for S1 and S2, I have found out that this can be done locally in WA. Next step is to get hold of a S2 full Dayz kit so that a mold can be done along side my S1. Then anyone can have a full dayz kit S1 or S2 and grilles easily available at a competitive price for the public. Sorry for being blunt, but i need genuine interest probably close thread soonish and get this done ASAP.
  11. Yes, now people finally understand what I'm talking about. Dayz all the way!!!!! I do like the Dayz badges, but i'll let you off for the bad taste decals. Nismo or typical JDM side decals might have been more subtle. Where's the aero grille to finish it off?

    The End

And on a more serious note buddy I am glad you are ok, stageas are replaceable, lives aren't..here comes the M35 keep stagen on!
  13. Ahh, the ever elusive S2 rear lip. Use slidewize or even japan yahoo auctions and you'll find heaps. There were recent for sale posts with the side skirts and lip and rear bar, but the toned down S2 front bar, more rounded than dayz. Many owners have these, just need to get one that is off a S2 at the time for the mold to be done. I would be willing to do my S1 if need be. Every stagea deserves a Dayz S1 or S2 kit standard or better Masa, Dolphin, Nismo, Takelow or East Bear etc. Also Im sure S1 lip is interchangeable with S2 lip and rear bar, would smarten it up though the S1 is more toned down. And back to the grilles..

    The End

Whoa nelly-you must of hit the non 4 spot stagea brakes not hard enuff..if only Brembos, hehe Yeah-lets not do that again! Just wondering on non wrecked parts list, do you have a Momo Stagea wheel in yer car still intact, might sound real silly? How bad is the suspension, wheels got pretty hammered. But anyways..yay on the M35 they are gettn much cheaper now that a few have landed, thats wot I call a luxury touring wagon, 6 speed manuals go for a premium as much as N1 equipped and R34 Vspec II's in GTR ratios. I wonder what is the crossover technology between the R35 and M35 platform. And yes they do exist, not like the tooth fairy that still owes me..when I get to me desktop pc I will post..rare though and probably unobtainable to the average commoner like myself..one powerball or one good drug deal and Im outta here..hehe nah jokes
  15. Have a look for Dayz kits in the for sale section periodically written off usually, sometimes yer lucky. But I suppose you could make a mold for it aswell, nice idea. Like the rear bar. Lots of kits around AUS and japan no flippn grilles. I have a problem with some aftermarket kits, especially clearance issues eg:high kerbage etc Dayz seems to be the way to go..neat and understated with any half decent wheels and lowering. Also I just realised how to spell mold..women have to be good for sumfin other than..or we would throw rocks at em.. Cmon peoples grilles, grilles, grilles roll up roll up...
  16. OMFG-All hail Bobby!!! Thats the cleanest engine bay I have ever seen, you could eat yer dinner off it. You surely must be a front runner in the for sale department across AUS. I seen some niceish white ones in WA, maybes Grade-3.5 thats nearly flawless except u missed a bit of polish. Nice-no..very nice example.
  17. Yeah of course they do for a S2 and the grille just go to there website and order, and sorry buddy but I did not mean to offend, probably lack of straight line power on the brain (miss the GTiR) Yeah WA is shite for buying Stageas. I renig on the loose use of patheic. Gotta love the tank. Where are the WA buyers?
  18. Hey hey slow down, Im not having a go we are all happy stagea drivers but someone must get my point. Chook you must have a brain the size of a chicken if you don't get me and I didn't call anyone half-brained you did. Let's maybe stick to the grille before we have our nasty pills..hehe As stated in last post, genuine takers on the grille please Enuff said..
  19. Good to see a number of replies. Grille smille, Series one or two they both look average Im really trying to get away from that Volvo look-I knew Id get some reaction from S2 drivers hehe..no direct offense of course. I am probably jealous in my heart, but not in my head! Yeah grille and lights on S2 are good but not much better for the total cost. If anything twin sunnies are a must but of course I don't have them. This is my second stagea and I have thorughly done my homework and until somebody proves me wrong I will shutup. And by the way AndyD are we talking about the same Australia with high fuel prices? Tip-tronic or auto in 4WD is never gonna be fuel efficient unless you drive like a nana and don't bring it to a standstill, if openroad well yeah maybe. Obviously manuals will be slightly better. The M35 has nice stock torque figures and stands out from the WGNC34 series with fuel economy to boot. With Aussie deilvered cars becoming much more powerful, why would you keep your import stock and fuel efficient? A stock S1 or S2 will have problems keeping up with 200kw aurions and rav 4's, (200 killer wasps hehe..) let alone XR6 turbos, HSV etc how embarrissing! Anyhowsen, genuine help and takers on the S1 or S2 grille will be noted.
  20. Hey fellow S1 stag owners, How many of you out there are finding it hard to get a dolphin or masa aero grille for S1 stags? I know this has been talked about but come on seriously lets make it happen! I would say the eyelids, clear indicators and the grille is the cheapest way to compliment a already existing dayz kit and definately makes it look better, check my attached pics. Also SOS to eastern state owners that av the grille, let Blits borrow it! I am looking locally and I have spoke with Blits in QLD and they said that they can make up the mould from a dolphin one, Im tryn to convince Jnr to lend me his, and they charge around $80 for the unpainted grille, seems like a good deal to me, and are interested in group buys. I have also seen Nismo copies at Monkey Warehouse, but no grilles are made. Cost of kit aint bad but painting and fitting adds to the cost. Don't get me wrong I'd go straight out and buy a JDM kit but postage and waiting etc seems like a hassle, but I have a mortgage and a second mortgage called a wife, luv em both to death, so freed up cash is at a minimum when the price of housing here skyrocketted to be more than Sydney! I was lucky to have a stag in the driveway after trading my GTiR! Just a few words about the S1 vs S2 debate. I think there is not really an advantage to buying a S2 tip-tronic vs a S1 auto. The luxary pack woodgrain looks nasty on any model and heated electric leather seats were an option on a S1. I know of slight improvements with the NEO motor come into play but nothing that makes the price rise to $18-20 000 at least! I got mine for 14k stock, low ks with nice wheels and I know where I'm gonna invest my next $5000, everyone knows it takes a fair effort with mods to get a stagea to get up and boogie, around 250kw is reasonably achieveable and can scare some of these HSV clubbies and senators. Although I gotta admit S1 standard seats are ugly, but who cares about the seats when you invest in a second hand Bride for the driver. Also there is obviously the second hand factory items to consider. In WA Perth, the cheapest option for a manual S2 starts at $22 000 with high kms around 122 000, and I can jump on the net and see manuals with low kms for around $16 000 upwards and we haven't even looked at importers yet that are even cheaper! And I think $1000 for train freight from VIC, NSW or QLD is a better option. Gotta luv ripp off caryards in Perth. Anyone with half a brain would buy a S2 manual turbo S, so when the NEO RB25DET goes then it is the cheapest way to get your "S" to Autech 260RS standard with much less cost than a full manual conversion and yes the extra grand price of a nice prepped RB26DETT also. Autechs are just too expensive, although Lil Bobby's and a few more modded one's are the dopest rides but Im not a huge fan of the 260s front bar, looks like the stags yawning hehe! I also fully dig the R34 front end conversion, more sided to the GTR than GTT. There is a great example in QLD selling for $17 000 and I don't know why someone has not snapped it up, probably because it is not manual but cosmetics are done just needs a 26. Anyhows I'm getting side tracked. These are my main points.. 1.) S2 manuals are a rip off in WA!!! 2.) People that buy a S2 tip-tronic are pathetic! 3.) Who wants a S1 aero grille for there stag? 4.) Better option than buying one from dolphin in japan for $450-500. And just to add M35s are nice in 6 speed manual..with $$$ the possibilites are endless Can't wait for me tax return hehe..any one interested? Enuff said...
  21. Hey fellas, I'm new to this forum and have owned two S1 Stageas but no Skyline..funny that. I have encountered the same issues with an Apexi twin chamber atmospheric BOV and Sard R2D2. I did some intensive research and did the trial and error thing, that nearly got me committed to Graylands. All that is said above is true and the way I found a good reliable fix is to buy a SAFC-II or neo and up the deceleration air setting to +1. This could also work with a fully tuned aftermarket computer or even a HKS EIDs. Depends how far you want to go with tuning and what you are willing to spend. It also occurred on my GTiR, but used the HKS Eids fix..much cheaper. Everyone wants a series 2 manual and Perth is a ripoff, Queensland is getting better with S2s & M35s but what about the lesser fortunate people on a budget with S1 auto's! This is a great fix for Stageas and I am assuming on R33's that don't want to go plumback-I stand by it, gotta luv the signature noise!! By the way found an M35 six speed manual the other day at auction..interesting as well as pricey
