  1. Yeah, I made it myself with 3mm aluminium plate and then covered it with carbon fibre contact. Because I dont have any cold air intake I didnt want to make the sides too long, still need the air from the bay to get to the pods.
  2. Thanks for all the comments guys, appreciate it. Cheers
  3. That purple GTR is in HPI next month
  4. Imnporting just became ~30% dearer.
  5. Here's how it turned out. This was my first attempt at something like this so feel free to let me know if it looks sh*t house! So should it stay or should it go??
  6. If I did an enclosed box without any air intake hole/pipe would it be a disaster? My intake temps woud go through the roof correct??
  7. Very nice Grant. Love the colour of your car also
  8. Dont have the stock intake. Pods are defect in NSW. At least this way they will be sought of hidden. Im not doing it as a heat shield, Im doing it so that the pods dont stand out like dogs balls. Also I washed the car this morning and the pods got drenched. The cover should stop some water getting on them. Ill go with the cover, If I get defected (touch wood I dont) Ill then get a custom enclosed box with intake done.
  9. Cheers mate, I agree with you, the sides I am putting on it arent that big so air should still find its way under them.
  10. Cheers Johnny, got it at a good price. Now that the ozzy dollar has died in the as$ it will cost more to get it in.
  11. Congrats, same colour as mine. Very hard to keep clean but the tuffest colour!!
  12. When I checked the RTA web site and saw that the number plates were available I was like "No F*&king way!!!" I went straight to the RTA and ordered them.
  13. Ive just had HKS SPL pipe kit installed on my car. I want to "hide" the pods. Im in the design stages for a cover but Im concerned that the pods may not get enough air. Do you think it will be OK If I go ahead with it?? I dont have CAI,etc. HKS SPL Kit: Design cover with sides: Will enough air still get under the sides to the pods?? Should I go ahead with it?? Thanks
  14. Yeah mine are 19s mate. I got them for just under $800 a wheel which was a good price. I got them at that price because I bought a heap of other items at the same time. However, now that the australian dollar has fallen so much against the yen I was told that they might be over $1K each at the moment. I was lucky I ordered them 10 weeks ago. Like you I fell in love with these wheels when I saw them on RH9 at Sydney Auto Salon. His are 20s though.
  15. After waiting for ~10 weeks for Rays to make my wheels and send them to Oz, I finally got them fitted up on Wednesday. Heres some pics I took today (please excuse the fact that the car and wheels/tyres are dirty and also my ordinary camera skills ) Cheers
  16. Just like the bloke in the SS bombodore that put his car into neutral and revved it as he drove past me yesterday. I just shook my head and laughed at him.
