  1. Sure its not injector ticking??? they make a racket all the time but you can only hear it at idle
  2. I had a similar problem yesterday. Everything looked fine, AFM voltage was OK and the plug was being dicky and was ok under idle, but as soon as things started to viabrate as the revs went up it shat itself. Hold the plug when your on the dyno and see if it helps
  3. Well the day has come, I will get back to sky'y this afternoon and we'll see what the dyno figures are... Came out pretty cheap overall... Fit FMIC Have turbo hi-flowed and reinstalled Run on the dyno to checkeverything Total = $2550
  4. I think you've got your words mixed. Having one pod filter may give you sufficient airflow. Increasing the number to two doesn't mean that the engine will need anymore air at any given point, therefore it will not suck in twice the amount of air. What you have done is double to airflow capacity. There may be a little gain in power as each air filter does not have to work as hard to pull in the required amount of air, i.e. having two air filters may have a beneficial impact on inlet restrictions.

  7. I made 161rwkw with just a boost controller running 11.5psi. I have since then done the full hi flow exhaust, FMIC and air filter. Now with the hi-flow turbo I hope I should make round the 200rwkw mark.
  8. Oh man is upgrading fuel pump and injectors on the cards. I will run lower boost levels until I have saved up some more dosh to get the upgrades. I've already had to shell out for a new turbo, new hi flo cat and new intercooler. I took the more expensive option of buying a GReddy FMIC... Are all FMIC the same? Was it worthwhile to buy a proper brand name cooler rather then a no name cooler
  9. To add more info for people. I will be running the standard fuel system for the time being. So my guess is smack on 205rwkw... I will post the dyno sheet when the car is running! Make sure you have paypal accounts.

  11. about to load the skyline onto a trailer and take it down to screaming performance in wollongong (used to work there off and on). I think Daryl has a few options as to new turbos that will only require new oil and water lines and bolt onto the original manifold and dump pipe. Apparently they are more responsive as well. I'll have it dynoed before it leaves the shop so I should know what power it makes. $5 bucks to the person who can guess the rwkw figure right!
  12. Cheers guys, I might go for the Hi-Flow. I spose it also means that I wont have to upgrade fuel pump, injectors and computer if I keep the boost reasonable for the time being. With the Hi-Flow, 3' dump (HI flow cat) and trust 3' cat back zorst, k&n panel filter, greddy FMIC, and GReddy boost controller I should be making round 200rwkw anyways hey?
  13. looking to get somewhere in the region of 275rwkw. Car is used for street for the time being and probabl;y for the occasional track day (both grip and drift). I drive in a bit of traffic every now and again so response is high on the list, but i can manage 3500 lag
  14. Hi All, I had my standard r33 s2 turbo go west on Sunday. Both impellers disintergrated at once! I have pulled the old turbo out and am in the decision process of considering upgrading to something with mroe potential and newer design or hi-flowing the original. Mods are as follows: K&N Panel filter 3 in dump, High flow cat, trust 3 in cat back GReddy Profec 2 boost controller GReddy front mount kit (brand new as old one has impeller lodged in it) Peoples opinions?
  15. I had my turbo completely go, both inlet and exhaust impellers over the weekend! And believe me was there smoke! I know how bad the feeling is... I have just bought a new intercooler, new turbo and cat because of it!
