  1. The Apexi ones are manual, aren't they. As in they use a cable to the butterfly.... Are there ones out there that are electronic???
  2. FIGJAM we should meet up before hand... perhaps thursday night???
  3. Sweet! Definately in for this one... I'll see ya'll there.
  4. Count me in... Be nice to meet some people in the local area...
  5. depending on where u live and how you treat the car, at 10psi on cold mornings you may hit the fuel cut as well... So just baby the car when cold and dont let it go on boost until water and oil temps come up
  6. True That.... Most of my driving is around 20-30min trips with long times off boost. I only go to the redline 5-10 times a tank... When I have been sitting on the highway on lovely long easy drives (to Canberra) I have seen as much as 600km a tank... Then again, on a cruise I got as low as 340km (slightly more spirited )
  7. Hi mate, I dropped a repco filter in about 10k km ago and its all sweet.... I'll check the part Number for you later tonight. If its slightly bigger, no drama, just bend the cradle out slightly... Make sure you get the fuel running through it the right way (arrows on the side of the filter)
  8. Dont drive mine hard..... Probably 5-10 hits up to the redline a tank.... I get roughly 450-500km a tank... See mods below...
  9. Recently the LAC (local area command) from Camden relocated their highway patrol unit to Picton (where I live). I rarely was pulled over before this unit came to town, but I am regulary pulled over for "RBT's" now. I have come to understand from my constant run ins with the local coppers that there is another silver R33 doing the rounds in the local area, acting the fool all the time. Apparently I am often mistaken for 'that' other car... I'm not a P-Plater and have never been fined for any driving offence. Initially I was put through the defect runs, pop the bonnet, run your revs to 3500rpm for noise check, but now they pull me over and have a bit of a joke. I'd put the sticker there, but not advertise it... It may make them more pissed and try to pin you for things rather then try and scare a red P-Plater into being a good driver (not saying that you aren't, but there is a negative social stigma relating to red-p's and supposedly quick cars)... If they are always pulling you over in the same area, they should get to know your car... oh and dont play F*!k the police with the windows down full ball!
  10. Hi Ya'll, I want to buy a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate and ECR33 plug and play harness. Plus any other things I will need to install in car. Not interested in MAP sensor... If you have dealt with a shop and thought you received a good price, let me know. Alternatively, if you are selling them please let me know how much. At this stage supply only as I have my eye on a tuner already. Thanks and regards, Thomas
  11. Hey guys, sorry to ask this one as I dont know if its been covered (dont have time to read 26 pages!). The software that can be bought for the Emanage, Nengun says its in japanese, Is that just the instructions or is the program in japanesE?
  12. Dont have an r32 so I can't figure out the dimensions. Mine will be made in the next week and I will post the pics up... Should be sweet!
  13. I have a full standard exhaust including the compliance cat. Willing to post it too you, but I think that would be expensive
  14. cheers guys... I am getting mine made as a test early next week... Design is quite simple yet strong. Coming from the strut tower (which it will bolt to using the existing threaded holes) it will be a L shaped bracket with a gusset along the bottom. I will be painting mine matt black so it blends in with the engine bay and doesn't cause the blue brigade to show any interest.
  15. Hi All, I am getting a brake master cylinder made for me at a local engineering shop called Seldom Seen Engineering. IT bolts off the strut tower, and has an adjustable bolt to ensure the bit fit with the cylinder. It is being made of 3mm mild steel with gussets... Very strong.... If we can get an order of ten together he will charge $50 per stopper. I think $10 will cover the postage, but I'll double check for each individual so that no ones pays more then what they should. End: End of March. Thanks, Thomas
  16. What I was trying to say in a much more proficient way
  17. The piston can fail in the ring-land region because it cannot stand the amount of explosive energy its being subjected to... Tuning can help tempretures and detonation, but the more boost you run, the more explosive force being generated, the higher the stress on the piston.
  18. how would I be able to tell if the abs isnt working?
  19. i thought about that, but it only occurs on the left hand side and it occurs when i'm only lightly braking as well... slightly worried about it being the abs on its way out
  20. Why would the discs need machining if it only occured when wet? wouldnt it occur all the time?
  21. Hi guys, like to throw a left baller at you. I dotn have any brake shudder in the dry, the occasional squeal but thats because of the pads. When its raining and i'm braking down from any speed say over 50, i get this real bad shudder from the front passenger side. I'm stumped, any first things to check out? I have new tyres that have been balanced and an alignment done within the last 1000km and its hasnt helped much.
  22. Thank you for your help... I will pull the BOV off this afternoon and check it over...
  23. Hmmm.... good questions ask you.... I drive the car pretty easy most of the time. So when changing normally around town (3000rpm) I dont shift extremely quickly and you can feel the car jerk around a little bit, feels as though the pressure is bouncing around a fair bit.... When at high rpm, and quickly changing between gears, it doesnt seem to jerk as much.... Less time for the air to bounce around??? I read through the R&R stuff on other threads and I'm sure the car is suffering from it, however this seems different.
