How long has it been in effect for? First time I have ever heard of it happening... There was something in the media about 6-12 months ago, but i never took any real notice as it didnt seem to be occuring a lot? what are they tagging them? RDTs?

Hiya All, Was driving home the other day into Picton and I was pulled over for a RBT... I went out fine and my mate in the car behind me was flagged in... Next thing I know is he is pulled over in front of the RBT station (I crapped myself thinking he got done for DUI). Turns out the copper asked him to lick his stick! HEHEHE.,.... They have a new test for Pot, apparantly you lick a stick and they can test it to see if you've been smoking pot...!!??!?!?!?! What the? Good idea I think but i've never heard of it! Anyone know how it works? or had experience licking sticks?

Hmmm, if he was around mittagong on the hume there is bugger all on the roads from the hwy apart from gates onto farms. If he ran and the cops chased, which they do, he would have had bugger off of a chance escaping as there isnt any apartments round there... Just a thought, I would pull over because thats what my mind tells me to do when i see the sirens, and then I would kick myself afterwards thinking I should have run... Stupid guy for doing that speed when its a known area for the hwy patrol to sit...

Bought my line last May with 68,000 on the clock... Just cracked 114,000 today. I love driving the thing, but I do wear parts out... Little things start to worry you when you drive a tuned line as much as I do. My gear box is on the edge... The synchros arent working properly and it crunches into 2nd and 3rd. No amount of additive or oil changes can rectify that, and knowing that it could shit itself pretty much anywhere is a concern. But hey, its the joy of owning a line isnt it!?

i'm in town till Tuesday. So I have to stay in this dive of a motel for 2 nights, then I have organised an apartment. I'm not up to anything tonight save dinner with my business associate at 6:30pm... I work in aged care and am undertaking a research trip to find new places to build new facilities and retirement villages. I know, thrilling, but it pays the bills.

revolution racegear sell a nice racing jack... alloy, low and with a long handle... check it out.... also doesnt weigh a tonne because they expect people to take it to meets...

Thats a different story to welding though... You are really replacing half of the rim, not widening it... I had welded steel rims on my cooper s when I bought it, they looked sweet but we found that a couple of the rims werent welded back into a perfect cylinder, as in the other half was staggered slightly, resulting in horrible viabrations we couldnt get rid of. Getting different rims definately the best idea.

What sort of material are the rims made out of? Billet Alloy, pressed steel, cast alloy??? Wait... IT doesnt Matter Its a STUPIDLY BAD IDEA!!!! I presume that in addition to making the rims wider for the looks of it, you want the extra grip? The rims will be weakened, and when they fail, you'll crash and maybe even worse....

Heres a gooden I learnt... When you drop the oil out, make sure the pan is clean before hand and let the oil run into it... Dont let it sit for too long and run a magnet through the oil to check for metal in it... If your engines getting louder, and your oil pressure is dropping off, could be a bearing issue...

make sure you tell them about the "light control module" in the steering column, or just under the dash, otherwise they spend hours looking... Happened to me only a month or so ago in my 33

Get a guage on it, even a cheap one for the time being.... A few spikes above 13psi with that T bleeder and the turbo might say night night to you.... I know lol....
