  1. Ok guys. another new angle: Im thinking of just getting the 3" HPI dual front pipe (any other good front pipe brands?) and 3" xforce $175? hi-flow cat and use the stock dump (still stock turbo running EBC lo=6.5psi, hi=9.5psi), then when i upgrade my turbo later with higher boost it will either be a hi-flow GCG item $1900 or a KKR430 $890? all depends on the money at the time!but leaning more towards the KKR...so when i figure that out i'll do the dump to suit! Do you guys think i will still gain a fair bit from the 'redback' cat and stock front pipe i have now?(i currently have a Jasma Catback!) **Also** An EBC question: i have a Greddy Profec B Spec 2 and it holds boost fine but it does spike a couple of PSI when i smash through the gears...is this normal/anything to worry about?how do i fix it without losing boost when WOT? Thanks in advance, Dan.
  2. Is this still going? i have a r33 S1 GTS25T. PM when going, thanks, Dan
  3. ok i think ive sorted out my front/dump pipe problems...well narrowed it down anyway: options: - CES split dump ($550-750) and BOM ($400) split dumps are apperently great but really expensive. - Just Jap X-Force bellmouth dump $330 - Just Jap JJR bellmouth dump $199 - Just Jap HPI Dual front pipe and leave stock dump (or use a good brand one, but cant find any easily!!!hks, etc.) $349 - Just Jap X-Force High flow cat $175 - Just Jap Catco high flow cat $440 I have ruled out the JJR split dump as the wastegate flap hits on it...but not on the bellmouth design??? Basically my goal with the car is to get around the 200rwkw area. so id rather not spend heaps if not needed! im leaning more towards getting a xforce cat and a jjr bellmouth.. one thing im unsure about is whether the xforce cat has a port for my cat sensor?i obviously need it in???so maybe the catco but its expensive! Please HELP SAU,ha. Dan.
  4. What do you guys think/have heard of the HPI Dual Front Pipe?any good? Im thinking of now as you said leaving the standard dump on and just doing the front pipe and high flow cat (catco or xforce?ceremic or metal?) because while running stock turbs and low power this will be more than enough flow?! Then when i get more power/upgrade turbs get a split dump/dump to suit(will it just bolt in?)?! What are your thoughts guys??? Cheers Dan.
  5. thanks guys. yer i dont want to have to worry and muckaround with a brand new front pipe!!! what brands are good then? Dan.
  6. Hmm. So if i have a stock R33 S1 using the R33 stock actuator&ebc and plan on usign the JJR Stainless Bellmouth Front/Dump Pipe i wont get this problem because it only occurs with the split dumps?and also r32 actuators?? Please HELP as im just about to buy one Thanks, Dan.
  7. this is interesting...glad i found this! so is this the same product as Just Jap is selling (the JJR Front/Dump pipe in one 3"?) Dan.
  8. Hey guys, Please if you can help, post in this new one! Im going to try and do it myself, help needed! Thanks, Dan. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ur...48#entry3973848
  9. sorry to hijack your thread but mine also does similar if not the same thing. when i pull up to my driveway it idles low and makes a beep/whine while it is idling low then stops when the rpm go up. Anyone had this/heard to this?? CAR: R33 S1 Stock bar: Catback, k+n panel. Dan.
  10. hey SAU, just read through an old thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/In...c-s-t99783.html about installing a greddy profec B spec 2 into an R33... Im guna try and do mine this weekend and just needed a bit of help...i think all i have to do is connect ign 12v to the main unit+tap into the fuel pressure regulator hose+mount the soliniod as close to the turbo and run the wires from the main unit to the soliniod......Then its THE BIT IM STUCK ON, how to do the actuator hoses. DO I: - just take the line off the actuator and put it into the NO then out of the COM onto the actuator?thats what it says in the manual but is it the same for the r33 (do i have to plug up the intake like in the manual?where is that?do i have to do anything to the stock solinoid/hoses not used?) Does anyone have Pics at all?? Any Help Would Be Great! Dan.
  11. sorry to hijack your thread but mine also does similar if not the same thing. when i pull up to my driveway it idles low and makes a beep/whine while it is idling low then stops when the rpm go up. Anyone had this/heard to this?? CAR: R33 S1 Stock bar: Catback, k+n panel. Dan.
  12. i just read the install manual again and it said to take the hose off the stock wastegate actuator and put it into the NO of the solinoid (feeding it pressure) then out of the COM of the solinoid to the wastegate actuator!is that all you have to do?how does the stock one work, like would the stock one be controlling the pressure before the solinoid or what? Can someone help me, thanks. Dan.
  13. also would like updated pics if someone could...? dan.
  14. can anyone confirm that the r33 s1 doesnt have anywhere to 'tap' into for the positive pressure for the solinoid? to remove the factory boost control is it just replace the line on the actuator with the greddy switchline from solinoid? is there a write up anywhere on how to install on r33? Dan.
