  1. thanks mate, i'm actually fitting and painting myself, just mainly concerned with the quality of the spoiler itself... I've heard stories of people buying these fibreglass / carbon parts and them not fitting correctly etc.
  2. Hey all, I'm finally completing the repairs to my car (1 year since the hail came) ... anyway, i'm looking at getting an N1 style boot lip spoiler for my car, and was wondering if anyone else has one, where they got it from, and how they like it. Obviously all the places i'm looking at getting it from are copies, so I'm wondering if any of the places have a "better" copy than the others... ones i'm lookig at are: Just Jap - $223 JSAI - $220 Empire Aero - $239 prices are including postage. Empire Aero's one is "carbon fibre" (not sure if it's just CF in appearance) but i'm going to be painting it so i don't really mind. So if anyone has an opinion, i'd love to know.
  3. make sure it's definitely the coils... i had a similar missfire and it turned out to be my CAS
  4. hey all, i've got a rather noisy outer CV joint on my passenger's side and i'm wanting to replace it, but i can't find anywhere to get one... anyone know somewhere that could have one? or potentially anyone wrecking a 32 gts-t that could sell one 2nd hand...? thanks Steve
  5. i once bought an rb26 plenum with an adapter which had been made by cutting an rb20 plenum... i don't know how well it works because i never ended up fitting it.. you can buy it off me if you like.

i find it odd that a company would close their shop and not put up some sort of sign or leave some sort of message on their phones which lets people know when they re-open.

Does anyone know when JPC re-opens?
  11. also don't jump to the coilpacks answer whenever you have a missfiring problem... there are many other possible causes as anything to do with fuel / timing / spark can cause symptoms similar to coilpacks.. personally i've had 3 different occasions when my car was missing... each time the problem was not the coilpacks, despite everyone on the forums suggesting they were. (mine turned out to be the CAS, then the AFM and then a sticky valve... each were 6 months to a year apart)
  12. As title states, i'm looking to buy an R32 GTR bonnet as mine got hail damaged a couple months ago. Located in WA Please PM me as i may not check this topic regularly. Thanks, Steve
  13. technically not legal, but i have them in mine and it's much better for projectors than the normal globes.. visibility is much improved from my point of view, and on top of that i have had other say that they used to struggle to see my car coming at night, but now it's much safer. driven passed many police cars with them on and haven't been pulled over (touch wood)
  14. looks fake because rather than scanning the newspaper itself i just screenshotted the PDF off the newspaper's website. kinda lucky i don't live at my parents anymore since they live around the corner from where it was stolen.
  15. Sorry if this is a repost, but didn't see it anywhere else and thought it was interesting
  16. the instructors pretty much leave it up to you as to how much you want to learn. anyway i may be interested, depending on when my new tyres arrive... not going to be much good out there running on the wires.
  17. hi all, to be perfectly honest i should probably look into what my car is currently running at the moment, but here's my situation. I'm getting to the point where i need some new brake pads (the current ones have been in the car since i bought it 3 years ago and are pretty low).. i don't know what my current ones are (judging from previous owner i'd say they were standard ones or possibly el-cheapo's) Anyway.. at the moment my front brakes are doing almost 100% of the braking.. i know the fronts always do the most, but the front feels about to lock up before i can feel any braking from the rear.. my usual mechanic agrees and suggested i play with different brake pads on the front and rear to balance it up a bit. So i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and has already done any experimenting and could enlighten me on their results. Thanks in advance.
  18. 3 years in my 32 and only been pulled over once.. i deserved it.. took a corner rather fast (not sideways or anything) but there was a police car around the corner and he just pulled me over and said to take it easy coz you neven know what's around a corner.
  19. i had a very similar problem once, and despite everyone telling me it would be coilpacks, it turned out to be a bad connection to the CAS.. my suggestion is not to go out buying a bunch of gear you may not need.. take it to one of the garages from the consolidated workshop thread and they should be able to tell you the cause pretty quickly and it will save you money in the long run.
  20. OK so here's my issue... car's been running pretty bad (especially off boost).. spluttering and not having much power.. also the fuel pump has been noisy, the windows have been slow to move up and down, when idling and i turn on the headlights the revs drop, and the stereo has been making a buzzing noise that changes pitch with the revs.. last time i had that noise it was my old altinator dying.. this time i changed the altinator, but it had no effect. So i went on to change the battery and hooray! the car worked perfectly for a day or so, but now had started slowly developing the same issues as before. Now i'm thinking it's bad wiring, but how do i work out where the problem is...? would i see an improvement if i ran a 2nd earth cable from the battery to the chassis?
  21. I wish we were allowed to import Toyota Altezza's .... same size as a Civic sedan, but RWD with a 2JZ and the Toyota is lighter than the Lexus IS300 and more importantly it's available in MANUAL!!!
  22. i rode my bicycle to work yesterday.. and rode home from subiaco during the nastiness at 5:00 .... i am all that is man! ... pitty my car wasn't as tough as i.
  23. well i was considering selling it soon, but unless i can convince the buyer of those benefits i don't think it's gonna happen. guess i'll drive it for the next few years then scrap it for parts..
