  1. so the 11th or 12th of april?

I'm hoping for both starting in the north west on the 11th and work our way to Hobart by way of east coast, stay the night in Hobart and travel back n the 12th

  2. us southerners had a charity cruise the other week down to port arthur, and i think the drift guys have a fund raising thing at basky this weekend.

ok, this cruise is intended for more than just the SAU guys, but we haven't had anything for the northern guys for a little while

  3. If people aren't interested in participating in a charity fundraiser i guess it'll be just a normal cruise. Input from you guys would be great as nothing has been finalized this is just an idea i threw out there.

  4. Hi all, the title says it all. I have begun organizing a cruise for the entire state. The plan so far is to leave from Burnie and travel to Launceston pick up more people there, travel to st Helens then down the east coast to Hobart, stay the night in Hobart and travel back the next day. I am thinking of running the cruise on the 11 and 12 of next month. I have an idea in mind to have a gold coin donation for attending the cruise, as well as a raffle. This cruise is intended for anyone with any type of car to come along. I have already spoken to a member from velocity and he is going to talk to their members to get them involved. I am also going to get in touch with Tas Commodores to see if they are interested.

If anyone has any ideas or can help organize or can get hold of donations for a raffle it would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds from this cruise are planned to go to the Red Cross Victorian bushfire appeal. However to run the fundraiser I'll need a club to run the cruise. So can anyone interested give me a pm or reply to this post. I'll handle the bookings required to run this cruise but I'll need numbers quickly, so all that will be required on the day is your car and money for your accommodation if you decide to stay

  5. As Jason said,

everyone has different opinions when it comes to workshops/tuners so its better to go have a talk to them yourself, look over previous work and form your own opinion.

What ecu are you running in the GTR Adam???

standard ecu that has been remapped by blackline garage, the looks to be a piggyback setup on it to but i haven't found the module

  6. I've had my car for a while now and i think it is about time i had it tuned, the thing really knows how to drink. who would be best in northern tas and roughly how much

    cheers

  7. New front bar and lights going on after some numbskull backed into the GTR in Woolies carpark on Sunday arvo.

Not like he hit it real hard, just pushed the whole car nearly a meter backwards, while it was parked, unattended, with the park brake on and stuff...

Saw the car not pretty :)

  8. hey Adam, Damo here, yeah a more lengthy cruise would be the go, and also i have just joined the R32gtr ranks with my new purchuse. so really looking forward to a nice long cruise.........

awesome you've seen the light then with getting a GTR, nothing better, a full day cruise would be nice like to Strahan or over to St Helens

  9. well i think it might be time for me to organize another cruise now that i have my car back. this time however i think we'll open it up to anyone with any type of car (import preferred) i think this time we might make a decent drive either down the west coast or down the east coast, I'll leave it open to suggestions. i think that early April would be best, after Easter though. let me know what you think

    Price $25000ono

    will post pictures later

  11. go there take the car and go where they wont treat you like a cock

It's a bit late know as the car will be done soon. But I'm recommending that people stay away from them if you want fast efficient service

  12. Who has got it?? What is there resone for taking so long??

West Side Smash Repairs in Wynyard. As for their reason they keep saying to me that they have guys away and other jobs need to be done first

  13. Stay off the highways and you'll find plenty. :)

Not true Wogboy, stay off the bass highway and the midlands. Certain sections of the Tasman and the Murchison highways are great to drive, through Hellyer Gorge. from ST Helens to Scottsdale. both great bits of road. St Marys pass and Elephant pass road on the east coast are two great bits of road.

  14. Just writing this one to rant a bit. It has been 3 months since car car went in to be fixed and resprayed, a job that i was told when i sent the car in would take 3 weeks max. i have become really annoyed not having my GTR for this long :) . All I know is the car better look a million dollars when it's done especially considering how much it is costing me.

  15. How does this route look? I tried to aim for the most interesting wiggles.

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source....191772&z=9

Most of this route is pretty good, but alot of the road from bakers beach to york town is a gravel forrestry road with alot of log trucks using it. Stay on the frankford road to beaconsfield. On your way back for a truly awesome drive go from bicheno up the coast to St Helens than take the Tasman Highway to Scottsdale. I did coming back from a trip on boxing day the road is awesome. :domokun:
