hey hate to be the bearer of bad news but i'd say that your engine is dying, compression should be near the 160 mark

-
Hey all
does anyone know where I can get a new windshield for a r32 gtr?
cheers, Adam
-
Yeah good idea, I'm not sure about anyone else up here in Northwest tas but I haven't any trouble with cops pulling me up for my car and my gtr runs sequential bovs and they ain't exactlly queit but then neither is my car. Which wogboy can confirm
-
the rules for exhuast smoke are
black- too much fuel
blue- oil
white- coolant
so if you have a turbo problem it will most likely be your turbine wheel. but it is definatly fuelling up big time

thanks wantd n angus,
i tend to think alot before i make any decisions regarding the car, im thinkin of picking up a gt-ss kit or 2860 kit and then adding the dumps and fronts. would make more sense on the reliability and labour side.
then again, once i finish the body mods (ztune bonnet and kit) and poping it into a few shows im selling it to buy the new r35 gtr.
the engines power is fine atm and i never go past 4500rpm anyway, to be honest ive only driven like 600kms since buying the car and it never comes out in the rain.
is the car safe at 14psi, well turbos i mean?
hey nice car. Yeah the turbos are quite safe at 14psi. It'll take about 17 to kill them

and the only reason for the vacuum pumps is becuase the vacuum that is generated by the engine isn't enough to run brakes powerful enough to stop the truck/
-
Yes there is vacuum generated on the intake stroke only, but there is no manifold vacuum since there is no throttle. Hence the reason for the use of vaccum pumps on smaller diesels with vacuum assisted brakes.
and how often does the intake stroke occur?
-
Trucks dont run blow off valves, they dont have throttle plates or even vacuum for that matter. Engine speed all controlled by fuel delivery...
so how does the air get into the cylinders in N/A trucks? vacuum generated by the pistons moving of course
-
what about there hydro brakes when they pull up at the lights?? its basically the same sound
so you know, highway trucks use air operated brakes, hence the air discharge when they pull up.

I have r32 n1 turbos on my rb26 and have oil leak from back turbo is it easy to rebuild or cost a lot. may replace them i have been offered 600 for the pair.
it will cost you a bit to rebuild them. 600 is a low offer for n1 turbos

-
well the cruise is tomorrow and it looks like it will be a good afternoon as long as the weather holds out.
-
Sounds good to me

it looks ok. but it looks more like the 2001 proto than the production gtr
