  1. Hey Mario, did you ever replace and have to source those little rubber seals that seal between the drivers window and the passengers little window, they're actually fixed to the little window. If so did you have to get them from the Motherland and what's the go with attaching them. I bought some rubber moulds from Clarke Rubber and Sikaflexed them on . They work, but I'd prefer original. "Original "I here you all say WTF. It's only missing the motor and box.
  2. Mmmmm Eye candy. Exceptionally nice and worth of the accolades you've received. Would also like to see it in the skin one day.
  3. OH YEAH, Just need the sticker " JAPARANA" on it now. Can you imagine the shit I'd cop from one eyed Holdenites. Not worth the risk
  4. Yup and I'll probably sell my 3.9 C&P to Stewart Wilkinson MS
  5. Thanks Socs, I also changed my crown wheel and pinion today so my gearing should be a whole lot better. Was 3.94 now 3.54. Should drop the RPM a bit.
  6. Had these turn up the other day. A friend is making up a garnish for me and the erea behind the number plate may get chromed or just high polish stainless. There in quite good nick.
  7. D, you can but them off Evilbay for about 25or $30 mabe cheaper. Just type in datsun skyline and they'll be at the bottom of the Aus ebay list. I've also thought about aquiring some.
  8. I can pick it up from him on Saturday so any time on the weekend or whatever. Call me on 95818997. He's wanting $20 for it. Cheers Riscky
  9. The plastic piece you seek for your coupe is different to that of the 4 door, four door is approx 50mm longer. My friend is willing to part it and maybe you could modify to suit. Let me know if your interested. The only other option is yahoo japan but I don't recall seeing any on there for sale either. Ricky
  10. Hey Riff Raff ( good ACDC song) I'm in mandurah and have a V8 210 Coupe. If the trim your talking about is the same for both sedan and coupe I should be able to help as a friend down here has a sedan parts car. Nice to know of another classic skyline in town. Also would like to see pics. Ricky
  11. Changing from R180 to R200 LSD Longnose. The half shafts pictured are 260z ones, these replace the R180 shafts. The moustache bar was custom made using the rubber torsion parts from the R180 moustache bar.The R180 is totally different fit for the R200. The flange that joins the diff to the drive shaft was also swapped for a 260z one, just undid the 22mm nut (approx) with an impact gun and refitted the 260z one. It's not that hard to do, it's just sourcing a few parts and making sure you measure up right for the custom moustache bar. From memory the R200 was $ 900. moustache bar $ 80 Half shafts and flange $70. Hope this helps to make up your mind on the swap
  12. It does feel like we're getting railroaded presently but no blk180, i work for Alcoa World Alumina. We didn't strike in the end although the shift before me walked out for the full 12 hours. I still have to work Sun & Mon but will def post all info on Tues with pics. Nice project by the way and good luck with the rebuild. My 210 is now officially a V8 but no quicker than my ex triple webered 6. These 308's don't rev much but that'll soon be sorted.
  13. Ok I'll post info and pics tomorrow. I'd say we'll be on strike again for 2/3rd's of the day. Blahh
  14. If the diff is the same as the C210, I'll be able to tell you all about it.
  15. Looking at that coupe gave me flash backs of what mine looked like before i spent a zillion on it. You really have to like them in a big way, it's easy to see this one requires a lot spent on it and unfortunately these cars aren't everyones taste so selling later will mean your going to lose money unlike maybe a LJ Torana is possibly an investment. But I do love my JAPORANA as the guys at work call it. It's different and around here quite rear, so it gets plenty of attention especially with the V8 rumble.
  16. AE86 website. I looked on there for a while and plenty came up but prices weren't cheap. I ended up with performance Superlites which I really do like and the cost me $1080.00 for 16 x 8 -4 offset rear and 0 offset on the front.
  17. Finally after 4 months and countless phone calls I received my engineers report. Hellaluiah, now I've got to send it off with the testing station certificate and if I'm reeeeeaaaallllly lucky I might be able to drive it legally in another months time. I hope you guys and girls going to South Aus have a fab time, and please take lots of pics, especially of 210's and earlier and please no one take offence to that, just my preference. I'm hoping to have the brock heads and 286 cam in the car soon after I'm granted the go ahead to be legal. Put a new bumper on recently, it was from a 720 so with a few mods here and there it was fitted.
  18. Has anyone got a garnish to suit the C210 jap tail lights( chrome style). There's some on Import Munster but lights only, no number plate shroud or garnish. They do pop up from time to time but maybe someone knows of one?
  19. That really is a nice colour. You need number plates with FNMINT as in flash green one eh. It's so good to see these old classics being restored. The Adelaide get together doesn't look promising for me at this stage. The car has been inspected and verbally given ok but my report is still a long way off. Once received I then have to submit it to the DPI ( Government Dept) who will then send me to the inspection station who will then give me forms to send back to the DPI. Also the union I'm part of at work has been striking for the past 11 weeks, so no overtime which normally funds my hobby. This could go on for months to come so extra money isn't forth coming at the mo.
  20. Hey Socrates, I'll give you 300 and some EL thermo fans. You need to come for another drive so I can take a bo peep at them soon.
  21. Can someone varify the wheel track for front and back of C210. Also need to know the source of this info for my engineer. He was here today and all is good, bar confirmation of the track.
  22. At the end of the day D, it was about what was easiest and yes price also came into it.I knew of 2 cars that had had this conversion done. One was the car in Wagga that had ex chaser black motor. I was very nearly going to buy that one, anyway after hearing from the guy how easy it was I kept that in mind incase a transplant happened. The 45 would have been nice, but i couldn't be bothered with the hassle of injection and to carb it was going to be an even bigger prob with engineering/ emissions here in W.A. I love what I've done and the 308 sound is great, already seeing lots of stunned mullets looking at it going what the F%^$K. It's something diff and the 308 has potential with a few mods. After selling my motor, boxes and bits it cost me $3000 on top of that. I've yet to pay $500 for engineering and $70 for test station.
  23. Good to see some inspiration flowing again Cam and lots of good ideas. The RB20 idea I reckon is a great solution to invigorate the Datto and apparantley a good fit. I partly went carby as I couldn't be bothered with the injection/wiring nightmare and cost but should I have gone that way it would have been RB for sure. I just like V8's too much also.
  24. I ended up using a Holley 650 DP which works real well. Gearing is a bit low, able to go round corners in 4th. No tacho at the mo but I reckon @ 100kph it's reving at about 3200. Down the line I may change centres 3.54 maybe. Haven't stuck my foot into it yet as I'm running it in and I'm of the old school way, slow and steady. Put a vk shroud on tonight and installing 2 10" thermos on saturday. sorry about the video, bit embarrased about that. There was too many people around and I don't enjoy doing running comentary. It gives you some idea and guess that's what counts. Here's a couple of pics.Glad some of you like it, I love it. Sitting in it with that V8 thump is awesome.[attachm ent=285297:P1000382.JPG]
  25. Car is now finished and I bring it home tomorrow. It sounds and looks really sweet to say the least. My mechanic, Tim has done a splendid and top notch job. I have taken a small amount of video and i'll try to download to u tube tonight under the heading of Datsun Skyline V8.
