  1. Where did you get yours Chris? Was it from Nissan or from a reseller such as Kudos as Sinista32 mentioned above? Thanks for the info re shear bolts. I'm in Melbourne
  2. Sorry to hear that mate. Sometimes I feel it's a double edged sword owning a GT-R attracts attention good and bad...
  3. Thanks Sinista32, that's very kind of you..
  4. Hi SAU As per the title, my R32 gtr was stolen recently- it was recovered a few streets away. In a stroke of back-handed luck the fuel pump had died- not sure if they couldn't get past that or the immobiliser or both. They had a red hot go at hotwiring it though, my under-dash area, ignition loom and ignition barrel are in tatters... the rear end copped a beating, clearly they were trying to push it with another car. Rim lips are trashed from heavy-handed towies... very frustrating. I'm looking around for a replacement ignition barrel but there are not many around. Can a locksmith help with replacing the barrel? do Nissan sell them as oem spares still? I'm assuming I'll need to have my door/bootlid barrels recut- or will they need to be replaced as well? Thanks for any advice, I haven't had to deal with this sort of issue before.
  5. Hi All I've just purchased my first R32 GT-R (yay!) from Perth, it will be loaded onto a carrier tomorrow. Great success! Curious Georges- see the attached pic Now this particular 32 has had a considerable amount of work done to it, and I believe it will be impossible to roadworthy and register as is. It is currently unregistered. Annoyingly, from what I've read, I think I will have to return it to a condition much closer to stock before it can receive a RWC. I'm seeking advice and recommendations on ideal workshops in Melbourne to assist with this process. I would prefer to have one workshop handle as much of this process as possible. So what say you SAU?
  6. True- the Cosworth Sierras (and others) with their lack of parity were already signalling the demise of Australian Group A, the R32 was simply the last nail. It's a pity really- I used to thoroughly enjoy the mix'n'match of the old series rather than super-parity-taxi vs super-parity-taxi........
  7. Thanks for taking the time to add that info Ronin, definitely helps clarify and confirm my thinking. So for the time being I believe I need +22, possibly up to +25 like the 18x9.5 Bee-R wheels.. but I won't really know until I take delivery of the car, and have the opportunity to test-fit some wheels with the same specs.
  8. Hmm after looking at few hundred more R32s with 18x9.5 wheels, I think I'm going to choose a +22 offset- that seems more appropriate for what I want..
  9. GTROC UK is pretty good actually, they've got a large 'show us ya wheels' thread there too... Yes those Kais look pretty good with the +12 offset. It's confusing and hard to judge because I've seen quite a few cars with similar wheel specs. So I guess the variations are all due to the varying ride heights, suspension setups and tyres..
  10. Hmm might be hard considering I need to pay a deposit for ADV to start the build... Useful! Thanks again..
  11. Skyline you are a scholar, and possibly a gentleman too Thanks for your help, I'll be sure to post pics when the car is finally in my possession and sporting the new footwear. Cheers!
  12. Thanks Hank and Skyline, It sounds like I need 18x9.5 with +15 offset, 'cos I want to keep camber neutral. Am I right in saying that to move the wheels further inside the guards, I would need to increase the amount of offset?
  13. Black ADV07's in Deep Concave, or possibly Black ADV05's in deep concave Check this IS-F rocking some ADV07 TS's, should look very similar to the DC's
  14. Hi All, I'm in the process of purchasing my very own 'zilla, and I really need some help with wheel size selection as I'm getting some rims made to spec. I've read quite a bit on here and other forums, and I think I have a reasonable idea of what I want/need. This car will be for street use, and I'd like the rims and tyres to sit *just* inside the guards, or maybe flush, but definitely not proud of the guards. At this stage I don't want to roll or lip the guards. I would like to run 18x9.5 or 18x10 all round with un-stretched tyres, so I'm just trying to determine what combination of rim size and offset would achieve the desired stance. From what I've read of similarly-configured R32s, I think the offset needs to be about +20 - +30. For reference the suspension includes HKS Hipermax coilovers & Noltec adjustable front upper control arms, brake rotors are DBA 4000 with standard calipers, also equipped with a Tomei HICAS lock. Cheers!
