  1. Hi guys, I will be getting my HKS GT2835 Pro S from JPS for $2650.00 inclusive of delivery and taxes very soon and I just wanted to know what's involved in fitting it. Know I know it is a direct bolt on to the T3 flange, however, I need to know how much a new 3" dump will cost me, new cooler piping, and new intake piping. Am I correct in saying that: A new 3" custom dump will cost me about $200 The cooler piping will cost me around $150 (as it doesn't bolt on to the standard one) And the intake piping will cost about $100 Am I correct in making these assumptions? Also, how long would it take an experienced mechanic to take of the standard turbo and put the HKS GT2835 Pro s (the mechanic charges $88 an hour, this is why I am asking so he doesnt rip me off) I hope I am making a wise decision in getting the HKS GT2835 Pro s rather than the GT-RS..... what do you guys think, is it a better turbo in order to acheive 260 rwkw? I should be hitting 260 rwks with the below mods and the HKS GT2835 Pro s should't I? I got the following mods: Straight through 3.5” exhaust GReddy front mount intercooler Cold air intake with pod filter Power FC Splitfire Coil Packs Nismo 555cc injectors Bosch 040 Fuel pump Currently putting out 202rwkw on 13 PSI on a VERY safe tune Any help will be much appreciated.
  2. Hi guys, At what RPM does the HKS GT-RS come onto FULL boost for an r33 GTS-T? Please specify what PSI you're running. Also, at what RPM does the HKS GT2535 come onto full boost? I am tossing up between these two turbos as my next upgrade, I am just worried about the lag issue, as I know the GT-RS is a little laggier than the 2535, but yes, I will get more power. Cheers guys. P.S- Does anyone know where I can find the 2535 for sale brand new? I can find the GT-RS on nengun for $2,300 but I can't seem to find the 2535 anywhere?

  4. Hi guys, I've done some research and I want to buy a GT-RS turbo. However, I was concerened about the lag issue. Could the people who have a GT-RS turbo tell me when they hit full boost (at what RPM) and what boost they are running? I am aiming to get around 240RWKW from my car. Current mods include: Full 3.5" straight through exhaust GReddy Front mount intercooler Splitfire coil packs Power FC Bosch 040 Fuel pump Cold air intake system with pod and heat shield Boost controller set to 12 PSI. Currently, my car is putting out 195 RWKW with the current mods. Should I be able to reach 240 RWKW with the GT-RS with bigger injectors (550 CC)? I've also read about the HKS 2530 but I read that it only could pull out about 220 RWKW. Is there a turbo that is in between the GT-RS and the HKS 2530 and that isn't so laggy? Cheers!

  8. Hi guys, I recently purchased a Apexi NEO unit but I decided to upgrade to a Power FC. The unit has never been installed and is brand new in the box. I purchased it on ebay for $420, I will be happy to take $350. It also comes with a genuine apexi stand for the unit so you can place it on the dash or anywhere else you'd like. CHeers guys

  12. Hi guys, How many RKW can a stock r33 GTS-T fuel pump handle? I currently have installed on the the car: GReddy FMIC Splitfire coilpacks Cold air intake system with pod filter Straight though 3.5" exhaust boost controller running 10 PSI I purchased a power FC recently and I will be installing it and sending my car for tunning soon, but I was wondering, should I be looking at upgrading my fuel pump at this stage? I am assuming from what I've read that I should be getting around 190 RKW (I will be winding boost up to 12 PSI), can the standard fuel pump handle this much? Can the standard fuel pump handle these mods with boost wound up to 12 PSI? CHeers guys

  14. WOW my topic is still open!!! WOOT WOOOOOO! Anyway, I purchased myself a Power FC, brand new one from ebay for $1,540 with 1 year warranty and invoice, not bad considering second hand ones still sell on ebay for $1,300! I haven't gottent around to installing it yet, however, I am sure it'll fix my problems! I also got an a brand new Apexi NEO that I am selling if anyone is interested ($320) I want to upgrade my fuel pump, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can get, and how much itll cost me including installation, fiurthermore, will I see an Increse in power from it? CHeers ladz
  15. If you run it straight though to the actuator wouldn't you be running close to stock boost?

When you say "hit the wall", a reasonable person would interpret this to mean, a sudden loss of power, like a fuel/boost cut, which jerks your forward suddenly and VERY hard, hence the expression, hit a wall. As I said before, this isn't the case, it DOES NOT feel as though I've hit a wall, it just feels as though somethings holding it back ie. hand brake up whislt driving. Thanks for your comments anyway.

  18. Hi guys, I have a R33 GTS-T with the following mods: FMIC Straight through exhaust (3inch) COld air intake system with POD filter Turbosmart boost controller running strange boost levels. Ok, so my intention is to have the car running at 10 PSi, however, it doesn't seem to be doing that... When I put my foot on the accelerator, boost goes up to 11.5 PSI, then drops to 10 PSI (at about 4000 RPM) at about 5000 RPM it will drop down to 9 PSI, then after 6000 RPM it will go up to 10.5 PSI. What's causing this to happen, could it be a faulty boost controller? The reason I am asking is because I want to install a Apexi NEO SAFC on the car, however, I know that the tunners will tune the car to a specific boost level, and mine are all over the placem thus, it would defeat the purpose of me instaklling it now. Would an electronic boost controller solve my issues? Would it hold the amount of boost constant no matter what condition the car is running in (hot / cold etc)? Or should I just get a power FC (which I am assuming can control boost levels?)? Cheers

  20. My car doesn't feel like I am hitting a wall, and it does NOT jerk. As I wrote before, it feels as though (on 12 PSI) I am driving with the hand brake up, almost as though something is holding the car back, it's truely bizzare. It doesn't want to accelarate on 12 PSI. If it were running that rich, I should be seeing black smoke from the exhaust, which I am not.... Maybe I should just get a Power FC and fine tune everything... Thanks for all the help so far guys!

Hi guys, Currently I have a r33 GTS-T, following mods include: GReddy Front mount intercooler Straight through 3 inch exhaust Cold air intake with pod filter turbosmart boost controller My car runs fine at 10 pounds, no misfiring of shuddering at all. I was reading a couple of posts and I noticed that alot of people gap there plug to 0.8mm, mine are currently at 1.0mm. If I am not having any issues with my car misfiring, should I regap my plugs still or is there no point? CHeers.
  22. So basically, what you are saying is that the Apexi NEO (Piggy back system) is pretty much useless (due to the inherent risk of detination), and that I would need a power FC or some other aftermarket ECU?
  23. I thought a fuel cut is when the car jerks you forward suddenly(ie. shuts the fuel off so the car temporarilty stops if over boosted)? Basically, on 12 PSI, it feels as though I am driving with the handbrake half up. Feels like I am running 6 PSI. I am sure you can imagine what it would feel like to drive your car with the handbrake semi up, yep, like sh!t......
