  2. i saw a few with sunroofs when i was importing mine, its an '03 premium pack, pearl white to melbourne. Generally the ones with sunroofs are really over priced if they arent 70ths probably about 3-4k premium
  3. Maybe im out of touch but im not hearing much of it. I just had 2 friends move up to work in the mines and another couple looking at engineering roles over the next few months I guess more of the manual labor jobs must be going rather than mech engineering ones
  4. Australia tends to reward right place right time people. I'd imagine that the government would force companies to not lay off people when the coal bubble bursts, it looks bad for them when that happens
  5. under the right circumstances education = knowledge. But i do agree with you on that. There is also a large amount of people sitting in tertiary education with no intention of working, they just went to uni to keep mummy and daddy happy. Does my head in! Although my course is 90% people upskilling or international students so its not so bad
  6. Very true, they earn good money for their intelligence but they work long hours in crap conditions. Plenty of people earn 150k in better conditions through education and hard work
  7. +1 to all of this! I've spent the last 6 years studying and still have one more to go as well as 3 years full time work and im still not earning that good money. Although relocation overseas is now looking like my best bet
  8. Used to bag a mate that QLD is the land of Hi Ves and Low IQ Snowboarding > Most things Absolutely love it. Pity all the mining companies don't pay their office staff anything like the 'hands on' people and engineers.
  9. Major problem, its too expensive to get to the snow from there i <3 snow also i dont think theres too many software dev jobs in Mackay!

  18. Mines a 2003 premium pack and I got it for let's say significantly less than 20k, auction grade 4 with 80k on it. There's bargains around, don't check the sites email the importer directly
  19. my requirements were all the exact same as yours except i could go older and didnt hold on for a sunroof. Definitely look at importing, although it took me ages to get it here it was 100% worth it for the commute!
