  1. ..... there are always cars in hot4s with what you would call 'rice' That's why I don't read HOT4's...
  2. I really like that bumper/bonnet kit, I want mine to look like that! In previously taking about a preferance for kits that enhance the natural lines, that kit looks the best!, for the stock kit on a GTR is prefect from factory,... If only you had a GTR rear wing, would look great, although every single GT-T owner wants a GTR wing, myself included,....... although I don't think it would go to well with LED tail lights, but thats just me. Lower profile tyres would make everything look so good.
  3. Tint it! People are stating that it would look weird having a slightly lighter tint on the doors, however it currently has no tint, which is an even bigger contrast. Sure it's a very JDM look, but outside of Japan, it just looks plain wierd to most whom aren't used to seeing it. I've owned cars with no tint before, and you definately want some privacy sometimes,.... I tend to drive with my windows down alot of the time, but just having the option to put the windows up and be less visible is comforting. As n15m0 stated, having slightly different shades is better than no tint at all. It already is extremely contrasted, lessening it won't be wierd at all. Anyways, even having the same tint all round, the doors always appear somewhat lighter, since they are bigger than the quarter windows, with more light coming through in combination with all that light shining through an untinted front window. At least this way, if you like the darker tint from Japan, it won't be as obvious when a cop pulls up beside you, because he will still be able to see you through the door windows which would be legal, thus they won't really question the legality of the Japanese tint as much. Either this, or replace tint to make all windows conform,.. but do tint it, you won't regret tinting.
  4. Sorry to say, but that bonnet vent looks tacky. Obvious "backyard job". If you wanted an excuse to splurge on the CF item,... you should of just invented one rather than hack into a perfectly good bonnet,.. but each to his own. The front grill looks ok, you should get CF dash surrounds instead to match your future CF bonnet. Would look much better.
  5. If you got rid of the red in the middle of the light,... then you would end up with brake lights that look like huge reverse lights! It's the same as fitting clear indicators, you have to fit an amber bulb, or else you would have flashing reverse lights. Brake lights must be red,... indicators must be amber, reverse lights clear... it's universal,... although some American cars have red indicators mixed with their brake lights, which is kind of off putting.
  6. That's like taking a reputable import,... and deliberately turner it into a ricer! You would get more recognition taking it back to stock. However,.... you are from New Zealand,... so maybe that explains why everything's so backwards..
  7. Just file it out, taking time to check with the squirters between filings to ensure a tight fit, whilst not making the hole too large.
  8. If the engine was in the middle,... does this mean it would be in the cabin ? MR2's are indeed rear engined,... kind of explains why the intercooler was on the boot now doesn't it.
  9. I like that GTR style front kit. Bonnet looks good, BBS style rims look nice, could be a little bigger, but I dislike the Nismo GT-T wing. Looks good.
  10. I can't believe how much of a difference location makes. I'm with Just Car, and was paying $1905 in NSW. I rang them today to inform them I now live in QLD, and I'm getting a refund for $600.
  11. Young and Cool,... lol I haven't heard of that company before. Wouldn't you cringe each time people ask who your insurance company is.
  12. It's good you enjoyed yourself. I see alot of R32's, and R33's up here, as per usual, but what I've so many of since I've been up here are S13 Silvia's. I just moved to the Gold Coast from Sydney,.. honestly I miss Sydney, but that's mainly because I don't know anyone up here, and have no clue what to do, or where to go on weekends. The Broadwater car park definately seems to be a saturday night hotspot,... the first weekend I was up here was when the cops defected something like 119 cars, and confiscated 7, something along those lines anyway. I went to check it out for the first time last saturday, although I'd usually try to stay clear from such attention, in Sydney anyways,... but I got nothing better to do up here as of yet. I didn't realise before how far Brisbane city is from the Gold Coast,.... so is Surfer's the only place to go out on weekends?
  13. The Volk GT-C's are going to look sweet! Be sure to post more pics.
  14. With a sticker like that, a roll cage that's nice and obvious, and stripped out,... no wonder cops pull you over. That sticker is definatley going to grab attention. That's not your daily is it ? lol.
  15. steveyea; I used to see your car driving up Old Windsor Rd, and through Bella Vista around 2.30pm weekdays. Looks nice. I was often behind you driving in a black Lancer, last time I pulled up behind you in my white 34. I'm in QLD now, so obviously I haven't seen your car in some time. I used to spot that GReddy decal a mile away.
  16. You can never have too much duct tape,.... or can you?
  17. I noticed the model car,.... it's an die-cast R32 GTR from Initial D "Night Kids", manufactured by Jada Toys. The front bar is the standard R34 GT-T series 2 item if I'm not mistaken. I much prefer the series 1 front bar, however I'd much prefer a series 2 model for it's a later model.
  18. Very clean,... nice lighting. Car looks so clean, the garage ends up looking like a third world shack!
  19. Hey, 2 door's are just as good,.... especially for those brittney/paris/lyndsay-style car exits...
  20. Well 'tis the time the nation says "Sorry" after all... If he did go to gaol,... he would of easily had access to anabolic steroids (presumably deca-durabolin), which would have countered the "too skinny" notion.
  21. $57 is correct,... I apologise for my laziness, thought I'd just round it up, my mistake, it's better to give accurate information after all, so for that I'm guilty. It's so funny coming from NSW, where our cars are inspected each and every year, and after having my car inspected 2 months ago in NSW, I now had to make sure it's roadworthy for QLD,.... but then again no more yearly inspections in QLD, which is much more hassle-free.
  22. I totally agree with you, and understand where your coming from. I'm a fan of only adding kits that enhance the natural lines of the car , if adding any at all e.g. a GTR needs nothing added to the body, already looks tough from factory IMO,... a more minimalist approach is more appealing to myself personally.,... as opposed to something hideous like a Supra with a Veilside front bar for example,... which totally detracts from the naturally curvacious front end. The "Vertex/Uras" style kit such as mine, looks more at home on a drift car, however it has helped my car to stand out a little more,.. although that bottom lip protruding so far is a hinderance on driveways,.. thus the reason why my car will not be lowered. 19" rims are definately on my wish list, yet performance is all factory at the moment, so I'll be putting up with the exterior for some time.
  23. Yeah, I purchased the car as is in the pics. This style of bodykit sticks out from every angle on the car, making it really fun when parking. The deep dish definately gets shadowed by the kit, and the rims already protrude slightly past the standard guards. I'd prefer to throw on a set of JDM black-spoked rims, however performance upgrades are of more importance at this point in time.
  24. At Super Sunday, Parklands on the Gold Coast,.... a P-plater with a stock civic sedan (correction; I think he had Altezza-style lights) with air-bag suspension boucing up and down in front of the crowds as though he was driving a '64 Impala down Crenshaw Boulavarde in South Central LA. Only thing was, this Civic was banged up, panel damage, paint and duco missing, with bumpers hanging off on one side. Each time he flicked the switches, it was like a bunny-hopping scrap heap,.... mind you, the P-plater and his passenger no doubt thought they were uber-cool. Oh, and he ended up breaking something from all that show-boating.
