PFC is the go, just about every man and his dog can tune them, got mine brand new with hand controler from nengun for just under $1000 but took bout 6 weeks to get here, so if you dont mind waiting. Having said that iam sure you could get on it Aus for about the same, looking at no more than $600 for a tune. Cost me all up $1600 for computer and tune R32 GTR 210kW at all four, good times
  3. Hmmmm a practial use for astra's, now that entertaining. $150k for a 7L commodore??? man i was happy to see it beat by the GTR
  4. Good stuff. Oh and that is some sweeeeeet smoke!
  5. I agree, they should try to be unique not copy whats been done and works. Just because our pommy mates can pull it off does'nt mean we should try to follow suit. Of course some things must stay (the stig) but as for the way they act...
  6. The sooner they start doing so the better. The show will be better for it, and each time i watch it i wont walk away like i watched an hour of car infomercials.
  7. Deep pockets... no Some factory gear.. Tried and tested cant go wrong although everything has a use by date.
  8. So play nice. lol i see what your saying and extra $100k is a bit steep, but go to any dealer and start adding factory extras and watch base line price increase. Cant beat factory for quality.
  9. The problem there in my opinion (again) is the BMW would be worth the extra $30k,the M4 is a surpurb car which has proven its credintials on a world stage time and time again its like comparing the New GTR with a price tag around the $150k mark to the 911 with the $350k+ price tag. Throwing Displacement and power at a problem is a prehistoric answer that unfortunalty the bulk of Australia's population beleve to be the only right solution. Which brings me back to my first point, the show is engineered to keep the typical falcadoor supporters happy whilst forgetting the rest of us.
  10. Thats true Thiswas really only an example, i guess only time will tell. Just funny how, iam going to use the word again. Holden's vehicles have in some form made their way in to just about every episode. I am not a Ford or Holden man but the episode which compared the FPV F6 and the HSV R8 was less than diplomatic and the areas where they did try to be were clearly forced and unntural. Just my opinion, i mean i know i would'nt be able to produce a neutral program. I think every episode would feature the New GTR. GO NISSAN, woot woot
  11. Is it just me or does the Top Gear Australia team have a tendancy to really float GM, or more specifically the Holden Motor Company's boat. I would'nt mind betting they are major sponsors of the show. The thing that made me rise an eyebrow was the comment mad about the CLK Black, in that "it weighs 1800kg" and that its got a "slush box". Correct me if iam wrong but does'nt the VE that they love so much weigh more than 1800kg and to has an autobox, which i am sure is not of the quality the guys working at Mercedes cant produce. This is not a stab at Holden just a topic that i though may provoke a discussion on the credibility displayed, by a show that once made me look forward to mondays.
  12. Nah same thing, but the front bar reo is different, thought you would know all about that terry.
  13. Dude a post like that in a thread like this is asking for floging
  14. yeah thanks for the reminder, sometimes it's a lot like pushing shit up hill. but i think it will be done just as long as the money tree does'nt fall over
