Slight gutter rash but it has been painted gloss black (touched up) can barely tell. These fit perfect on m35 stagea Dane 0432955644 Reason for sale - going to R35 wheels soonish
  2. Thanks Scotty , Haydn said i should send you a message about sourcing new aftermarket AFMS but I cant send you PM's must be full. How much can you get these aftermarket ones for and how long have they lasted in your car? whats the part number and the car intended for them ? If they are cheap enough i might buy some and be done with it but to be honest if I have to spend heaps every few months on a sensor we need a better soloution! there is so much difference in price of some of the aftermarket ones - ranging from 30-180 for non genuine- pretty crazy I found a claimed "genuine" AFM for $175 PP http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/180823121514?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 but If something like that is going to last a few months then id obviously prefer to have a few of these in the glove box : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331052494121?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 (pending of course that one works) Keen to hear about your aftermarket solution Scotty!
  3. Yeah - From what the WRX guy said he runs NO AFM with a resistor inside the afm plug which sounds weird but possible And this resistor i found on t he rx7 is probably useless but got me wondering what we can do in the way of pro-longing the life of these AFM's or finding a solution to run our cars without them ,without the need to run aftermarket ECU and a re-tune.

    Limped My M35 Home

    Has ANYONE tried a 22680 6N201 ?
  5. I have seen quite a number of threads on here with m35 owners who's AFM's die out of no where Mine managed to die today after being replaced not too long ago by previous owner, contact cleaner did not help - limped the car to work. I noticed while searching on here some people get genuine parts that last a few weeks and then die again....this is just rubbish! I am familiar with these types of issues as the my99WRX/GT Forester has the same looking AFM (different part number 22680-AA310 as opposed to the nissans 22680-6N211 and now 22680-6N21A) The subaru ones would die extremely easily as well - as we all know different vehicles had different limitations, but with a power-FC on the my99 subaru you could run a z32 AFM which basically never die (so i'm told). You could run cheap chinese AFMS but they lasted even less and ran quite rich... Anyway I got a call today from someone with a WRX regarding some parts i was enquiring about - he was telling me he had a resistor that tricks the car into thinking air mix is always optimal and never throws a code. he had the resistor in the plug ! Has anyone ever heard of this, is it dangerous to the engine or not really? I assume its about as dangerous as running a mafless tune? I did some googling : found this http://hikickracing.blogspot.com.au/2010/11/tuning-rx-7-afm-resistor-trick.html im sure there are more pages like this online... I'm far from an expert but would love to hear your opinions - looks like this guy on his RX7 did the resistor a in the actual AFM rather than on the plug to adjust mixtures (EDIT: this rx7 link probably still requires a working AFM where as the guy with the WRX told me he didnt use one at all....this i am not sure on) so - guys - will this sort of thing be an option for M35?

    Hks Ob-Link

Yeah pretty sure i did!! After I updated the HKS App through google play store -I went through the app options and found the option to Pair a new Device It said the current paired device was "OB LINK 00:A0:96:38:0B:3F" (i assume blue tooth uses mac address and this is it) So I recorded this mac? and hit pair new device It comes up with the following message : "SCAN OB-LINK device and pair it. Enter Pass key [7181]" SO I re-entered the mac and it asked for the pass key (7181) and then said Paired. Still no connection to the Meter views = OB LINK DISCONNECTED

    Hks Ob-Link

Hi Sorry for the thread revival I bought an M35 with exactly the setup you talk about HKS OB LINK with an android tablet in the factory TV Screen location. It was working until i decided to update the HKS OB LINK software through the google play store- since then I cannot pair to my HKS OB LINK. The reason I did the update in the first place was to attempt to fix an intermittant connection time out problem - OB LINK would disconnect every 15 mins or so...and i would have to reconnect, losing my logged data (fuel consumption etc) Does anyone have an experience with this ? I tried to google OB LINK Issues after software update but to no avail. cheers
  8. Thanks for the feedback so far guys Now I'm thinking of running 245/35/20 front and rear - I wonder how much difference in rolling diameter there would be stretching the same sized tyres over 9.5's and 10.5's - I'm thinking very negligible....Considering the real world difference of some tyres mixing brands and combos is probably not worth the risk though with the attessa in the mix. As for the rear 10.5's yes I'm also interested to how it will fit- will trial fit with my suspension without tyres and hopefully I don't have to buy another set of 9.5's seen a few stagea with stock looking rear guards fitting the rear 09-10 GTR rims ok The rims arrive in a few days
  9. Hey Guys The Stagea I bought has 19x8.5" +25 Rota wheels (running 245 40 19's - a bit taller than the stock 215 55 17's - however it fills the guards better) I really dont care for Rotas and have since bought some R35 GTR wheels with no tyres The GTR Wheels are 20x9.5" +45 FRONT and 20x10.5" +25 REAR Being a subaru owner I know that staggered sizes on 4wd is not an issue if the rolling diamaters are the same (or within a small percentage) I have done some searching and am lead to believe this is still true for my M35 RS 250T (Mine has an LSD) If someone here knows for fact that i can run taller tyres on the rear of my m35 250T please let me know to save me some time!! Obviously i'm not keen on stuffing my attessa pump, but at the same time, I think the GTR R35 runs taller rear tyres? so maybe M35 can run taller rears? Im a subie guy so a bit out of my comfort zone - anyway...after the facts if anyone is sure So with all of this in mind I need to pick some tyre sizes and would appreciate any input keeping in mind the stock 17" size is : Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/km Difference215/55-17 118mm 334mm 668mm 2100mm 476 0.0%And the car is on 19" rotas in:Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/km Difference245/40-19 98mm 339mm 679mm 2132mm 469 0.0% Some quick calcs reveal I could have the following combos on the 20's (A) Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/km DifferenceFRONT 225/35-20 79mm 333mm 666mm 2091mm 478 0.0%REAR 265/30-20 80mm 334mm 667mm 2095mm 477 0.2% (B) Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/km DifferenceFRONT 235/35-20 82mm 336mm 672mm 2113mm 473 0.0%REAR 275/30-20 82mm 336mm 673mm 2114mm 473 0.1% © Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/km DifferenceFRONT 245/35-20 86mm 340mm 680mm 2135mm 468 0.0%REAR 285/30-20 86mm 340mm 679mm 2133mm 469 -0.1% Of course I could get something like a (e.g) 235/35/20 all around with the rear stretching more than the front but i want them to look in proportion... Also I'm unsure if I will require a fairly stretched setup to run on my reasonably low Stagea (dont want to raise it) I think i'm in for some sleepless nights before handing over the dosh for a set of tyres... Of course tyre brands stretch differently as well and budget is another thing to keep in mind...At this stage I have not made up my mind how much I am willing to spend on tyres...If I have to run lots of camber, im going to opt for a cheaper tyre based on previous experiences with over neg 5 deg camber cars...Another thing to note is at home I have a full set of 20" 225 35 20 rubber (china brand) - therefore option A requires just 2x 265/30-20 - but these are expensive tyres at this size after checking on ebay...It never ends...lol HELP!
  10. I won r35 wheels on ebay ! Now if only I could find some r35 front seats cheap!
  11. How much did you end up paying and how much rego did she give you? TBH you still got a very nice example so enjoy the resale on those low low k's lol
  12. Hey GoldZilla, I kind of disclosed this above - does it matter that the OP hasnt disclosed but I may have? I dont mind if my posts need to be edited, Im just keen to know If it IS the same car I had a look at...because they offered the car quite cheap to me - maybe if paid too much he can definately get some money back! EDIT: going to get rid of the names of the shop I think for the greater good.
  13. Wow Man, just wow. The autech axis you bought I sat in 1 week prior to you buying, and If i didnt find HAYDN's awesome Dayz edition that week, It would be mine a week before you bought it! TBH I kind of new they wind the clocks back....you can just tell...The condition of the car is pretty good though apart from that ripped leather on the centre console Its the NA one with Camel interior from XX XXXX XXXXXXXXXXX out kirawee way right? Hey at least you got Tein coilovers as a bonus! How much did you pay for the car? It was advertised at 18400 IIRC
  14. Thanks guys very happy with the car, credit to Haydn, The mods are exactly my style I had a forester gt automatic (black one on bags above) which also had a tune to 15psi, the "stall turbo, launch!" feeling is so great to have back. My black foz made 170kw atw - wondering what this beast makes though it's definitely way quicker !
  15. Also a few pics of previous foresters I have built from the ground up....I still have 2 SF5 projects at the moment...The White SH was non turbo with a carbon fibre bonnet haha
  16. Hey all So After owning about 8 foresters over the years and recently a toyota aurion as my daily ...(it was cheap) I needed a new daily driver that was a jap wagon and NOT a forester (for once) Stagea seemed like the only logical choice -Caldina , legnum - not for me..... always loved the older WC34 - as it had the same flavour as the jap forester sf5 that I love so much......But I wanted something a bit newer looking and a daily I wouldnt spend weekends on modding, just drive and enjoy....and with that in mind I started looking at Autech Axis 3.5's with the idea being - non turbo so I wont mod it...maybe change wheels and suspension thats it.... Took one for a test drive, had a look at some more...Then I thought: maybe I can find one with all the hard work done in Turbo - and do small things If I have to....So I found one on Carsales and made a call - arranged to see and test drive Haydn's OM350 - Took for a drive, loved it. That day I was due to check out another Autech AXIS but I knew what I wanted. I put a deposit down that day. Im sure you all know the mods but Ill copy paste from Haydn's ad incase you havent seen it! 21. Thanks mate! unfortunately too crazy for most skyliners here really needs someone whos doing a custom kit. for the record they stick out about 120mm from the gaurds on a r34 gtt and should be about 50mm less on a GTR so 70mm widebody on GT-R is needed. 2k is the last price i will go till until they sell if anyone knows anyone please let me know! just powder the centres and give the dish a polish! cmon ppl the tyres are worth the price im askin!
