Correct, polling should be sufficient. Then we can keep personal comments and arguements out of the thread so its a clean business list. With a rating generated for each business. If a user clicks on a business they can see the rating that was given by each person that voted, and if they want to know more they can pm others if they want to question their experiences.

Why? Why should members be the only ones with access to such information?

And again, 1 centralised list of known business, sorted by area. With a business rating listed based on customer polling/feedback

Considering we have a trader rating for private sellers, perhaps we can apply a similar theory to performance shop ratings? /Edit: via a centralised list

Something along the lines of a rating system would be good. Performance shops can be added to a list and people can rate their experiences in dealing with them with a single click. Dont get me wrong, I like to share good experiences I have had also, but I know that a thread intended purely for posts praising certain businesses wouldnt last as someone along the line isnt going to agree with someones recommendation and arguements will result.

Sorry but im with Tosh. Different people have different experiences at every workshop. If you want to post a thread praising a workshops good work that thats fine. But a thread that "black lists" any business will not be allowed on SAU. Simple as that.

You might have problems finding someone who has an R33 in the colour you want, who wants to get rid of it and is happy to trade for an Audi.
