  1. yeah probably 10C difference from last dyno which was at 8am compared to 11.30 today
  2. Damn straight boost stays where it is......In saying all that i reckon the larger rear housing would be nice with E85 a touch more linear (theres no way i would consider it on 98).
  3. Silver R33 on port river expressway plates ###33 about 15 mins ago
  4. Yeah mate HKS 3037 Pro S .68
  5. .68 from memory but close enough......
  6. Looking at your build i would say its very possible indeed. You have the larger rear and cams so should be up there thats for sure. I still think my car has more in it also because boost goes to 24 and then trails off to 19 by redline. If i can get it to hold 22-23 to redline who knows. The day it was dynod wasnt the optimum either. 1st run it spun its lips off to the tune of 279rwkw so we re strapped 2nd run it wheel spun again at the top of the torque and registered 323.8 3rd run the heat had set in from idling and the runs before, it still spun a bit at the top of the torque but it was the only usable graph at 323.2 The torque line is so steep a ramp its almost unbelieveable hence the spinning on the rollers. Good times
  7. Just make sure you keep Glue or sticky tape handy wont ya for those pistons
  8. My thoughts precisely Guilt Toy, I think its hard for people to get their head around how good this fuel actually is in making power and looking after the engine. Two extremely good things to have if you ask me.
  9. Thanks Matt I dont see the point in pulling down the engine because of maybe's and hear say, if it chucks a leg out of bed then so be it, i will deal with it if and when it happens. State of tune and Knock plays a huge role in engine failures.
  10. 300 on pump now is damn good you should see mid 300's no probs.
  11. It sure does 3rd gets a bit skippy. Cold morning and thirds like a light switch for wheel spin, cold winter mornings are going to be interesting.
  12. Still running the standard FPR....Im definately happy with how the injectors are performing no need to upgrade means no head aches. 910's should see you through thats for sure. What turbo are you running again? Very happy indeed with E85 the mid range has really woken up tractive effort has jumped from 6600-8800 on the dyno
  13. one tank at this stage dont drive it to work.....Went to Pooraka and back today and seemed to be not too bad on juice......Alot better than my old 245rwkw alloy headed XW thats for sure.
  14. Thanks Matt I'm still running 555's which are seeing around 90-92 % duty which Adrian was a bit surprised at. Maybe the Nismo pump is doing its job properly not sure. On the RB25 upgrade thread there is a before and after tune. E85 is definately good stuff still getting used to all the extra torque.
  15. Cant help yourself can ya
  16. Well said, VU is a classic example of minding his own business and getting pulled over anyway because of the car he chooses to drive.
  17. Fair enough i'm not saying it gets used to its maximum every day that would be stupid to just thrash the living shit out of it, but if the mood arises. Dyno sheet in the RB25 upgrade thread which compares my last 98 tune and 18psi.
  18. Just make sure you get a good tune and have a fuel syetem capable of handling the xtra flow needed. Oh forgot to add i'm still running standard airbox too looks bog stock when you lift the bonnet (besides the turbo and dump of course).
  19. You can blow one of these engines up at 180 with a crap tune. The knock is almost non existant with E85 the same couldn't be said with 98. Adrian who tuned my car has been running around for six months with over 300rwkw and E85.
  20. Yeah granted it is but if the 1j's can do it why not the rb. As a comparison it has been on three dynos with the same state of tune and read 250.7(DD),251(mainline) and 257 on the one it made 323 on.
  21. It's the fuel that lets you run the bigger boost and more timing add to that 105 octane and your in for more power. Not too sure on fuel economy but anything making decent power will use more its just the way it is. I have not changed fuel lines just standard Nissan but they obviously have to be in good order before you start which could be said for engine gearbox diff etc also.
  22. Standard Head/Gasket Standard intake manifold/throttle body Standard exhaust manifold Standard rods/piston/block (genuine 105,000klms with books) HKS 3037 pro S running 24psi trailing off to 19psi by redline Nismo 555 injectors running 90% duty Nismo Fuel Pump Power FC Blitz LM cooler Gizzmo EBC Tuned with a datalogit and wideband by Adrian a fellow member here in SA username 180or200. His 33 is making 300 odd with standard bottom end and E85 also, definately knows his stuff.
  23. Im running my RB25 on E85 and am making 323rwkw...Excellent fuel tuned properly
  24. Thanks Ryan.......How your car coming along? Adrian (180or200) tuned the car, as for his location you might want to shoot him a PM.
  25. I ran the tank right down to the empty line. Yes i can only run E85 if i want to drive it to its potential but you can get away with running 98 if you get stuck just won't be able to hit the loud pedal. Adrian has my 98 tune saved in his lap top if i wanted to switch between the tunes, would have to wind the boost back down to 19psi also.
