Cheers Pete,
The only mod required was a decent fuel system to support the extra flow needed and a decent tune. I will be changing my Fuel filter after the first couple of tanks just incase it has picked up some crap.
Yeah thanks mate the thing is a completely different car. I would like to think that i had something to do with it but in reality 180or200 tuned the old girl and put me on to the fuel so he deserves all the credit. Very happy with it to say the least. Standard airbox also might be starting to choke it a bit.
Ok just got back from Dyno. Boost controller having trouble holding boost as it spikes to 25psi and by the end its at 19.5psi.
1st Run wheel spun its titties off so Pete had to tighten the straps more (made 279)
2nd run right up the top off the torque range it lost traction again and the graph fell away (made 323.8)
3rd run the heat had set in but still managed 323.2 and still wheel spun a touch up the top of the torque.
If i can get the boost to hold more stable who knows possible. I will post the dyno graph in the RB25 upgrade thread sometime today.
I owe all this to AD (aka180or200)who has done an absolutely brilliant job on tuning my car. Your a legend mate.
Needless to say i'm stoked with the outcome.
Hi Steve bit of a bugga its not boosting past 5K...What size injectors were you planning on running for the E85? Im sure Adrian will give it a good crack on sorting it for ya I've been thinking about doing a compression test on mine also just got to hunt one up. Good luck with it mate.
I agree steve my mates GT went from 224 at Aussies to 257 at KPM with the addition of underdrive pulleys only (which in reality would be 5-10rwkw at the most). Hows your car doing mate got it sorted?
What set up are you running now? If standard i would do the following in this order before worrying about a turbo.
Full free flowing Tubo back exhaust
Front Mount
Power Fc or similar computer tuned of course
If you upgrade the turbo you will need the above at a minimum anyway.
Decent bolt on turbo kits are alot more than $1k also closer to 3.5-4.5k .
No such thing as a cheap upgrade unfortunately
