  1. woops, ignore my previous comment, mine dosent backfire up high in rev range, its down low, on deacleration etc sorry
  2. hey there, my gtr does the same thing, i had a wrx with a link computer, gtr with a power fc, now running a G4 link, when summer comes it starts to run rich, backfires, popping, maybe just check your pugs and see if they are fouled?
  3. hmmm yes nismoid, just going on what a few tuners said that its not so much the power (though im sure 380AWKW would kill an engine pretty quick!!!!!!) that will kill the engine, but high revs, and or a poor tune. im just not realing feeling the 320AWKW, so was thinking to move up to 20lbs, safe tune, bring the rev limit from 7500rpm, to 7000? was thinking the extra 2lb might be what im after? robbie ps. running a G4 LINK, no AFM's
  4. just been reading a bit about the -5's. ive got the -5's + usual supports on my RB26, standard internals, running profect b low boost 15lbs high at 18lbs 320AWKW, reading what nismoid said that the-5's really start going around 20lbs, i was thinking about uping the boost to 20lbs, as i feel the -5's are not even trying yet. can anyone tell me is there a much difference between 18-20lbs? or should i head towards 21-22lbs to quench my boost thirst? cheers
  5. hey dirt garage, do you need to re. dyno the car if you install the balance pipe, is there a balance pipe you can buy, or are they custom made? i have -5's, custom piping, etc cheers
  6. hey got an hks twin, real nice to drive, my lightweight flywheel is mean, rapid take off, has a bit of a shudder though, revs drop back pretty fast when changing gears, so when doing quick gear changes pays to blip the gas peddle to prevent the shock on box, diff etc....
  7. what about an RB30?, check out the 'RIPS' website in NZ robbie
  8. oh cheers nismoid, i guess that answered my question, ha cheers robbie
  9. just trying to figure out (i have no idea if im right) but say you made 7000rpm the limit, would not all the cars of that model have the exact same top speed because of the final drive/diff ratio? if in theory you could reach it power wise????????
  10. hey does anyone know what the topspeed of a r33 gtr is? what does the car gear ratios alow the top speed to get to, if in theory you had the power to get there? hope this this makes sense cheers
  11. hey there, r33 gtr v spec, 170kms, standard shocks, springs, etc. just wanted to replace shocks but dont need anything crazy, just a good alround set any ideas? cheers
  12. hey i just made 320AWKW on 18lbs, full boost at 3800 (of the top of my head) -5's, custom dumps, inlet, pump, injectors, G4 LINK, std cams, std engine etc, HKS twin light weight fly wheel, asked tuner to do a safe tune, lots of torque 850ft lbs...... got quite bad shuffle though...... robbie
  13. hey there, i have just got a HKS twinplate, in my GTR, real sweet to use, my girlfriend didnt even stall it..........
  14. have you tryed the plug clean yet? just about to do mine
