  1. Ah! I never new that? I thought if the cops spotted it, you get slapped the huge fine. I was under the impression that no cat on any car would give flames? But that's what some random exhaust shop told my mate. He got a straight through pipe with a 5" canon on his old banged up Cressida a while back. No cat, no resonators, nothing. Sounded real beefy but shot out massive flames. The guy at this exhaust place said "haha no cat means huge flames!" but he did have a leak in his manifold. Maybe this caused the flames?! Amazing thing was, even going through defect stations with this thing, the cops never once said anything about it. They always would shine their torch on the canon, but never said anything! Even at idle, it rumbled away and was fairly loud.
  2. Lol Ryder where did your rear windscreen wiper go? Didn't you have one a few weeks ago?!
  3. Bottled water FTW! When you come here, drive on Gorge Road.
  4. Fixed Take out the 4WD fuse and your ABS light will come on from what I've heard. Hicas and the 4WD system are controlled by 2 different computers. There's a massive amount of threads on here about the fuse for the 4WD system on the 32's. If your Hicas is playing up (it will when your wheel alignment is out) then throw the car on a hoist and make sure all 4 weeks are not touching anything. Switch on the car and the Hicas will reset itself. When all 4 wheels are off the ground, Hicas will sense that the cars wheels aren't on the ground and goes into a different mode will reset itself and begin fresh (entering new data into it's memory) so then it won't think you're driving in a straight line when you're on a angle. This is also useful if you've just had a huge wheel alignment. My Hicas was stuffing up a while back and it caused the steering to go really heavy - although this was more than just the Hicas, as it turns out I had a loose battery terminal causing crazy stuff to happen!! Who knows how that came loose (cough alarm installation place cough). Hicas only kicks in over 80k/h and will change the rear wheels 0.5 +/- degree's in each direction when cornering hard. When it kicks in, it's fantastic! But when you need a wheel alignment, the system goes crazy. Hicas will also kick up a fuss if you have a aftermarket steering wheel installed. Some people tend to think that it's constant 4 wheel steering... it's not.
  5. From memory, isn't that Xclutch GTR for sale? Haha and good to see those Euro plates are taking off in a huge way! But Euro plates on a Skyline?! Mate from work got one for their BMW, too.
  6. No cat = huge flames. Cheap and easy... until you receive the $40,000 fine or whatever it is. It's something huge.
  7. Lol @ taking off the sticker. I'm still repping mine! If anything, it gets more comments for the car! The 34 looks great, though.

    Ah I see!
  9. Oh lol the actual number plates were R34GTT - the 34 was White. I see you going around North Tce and Pirie St quite a bit!

Haha dude, you get different stories from each staff member in Transport SA. I got a permit once for the GTR ages ago when it wasn't registered yet, and the girl behind the counter told me I was not allowed one due to having no registration. After arguing with her and then her manager, I was allowed the permit (I was transporting the car to and from a mechanic - the car had a compliance plate, so it's fine). But she said "you're not allowed to stop the car anywhere along any roads or turn off on any other roads unless specified here" and I said "What if I had to go to the toilet and had to turn off?" she said "No. You cannot turn off onto any other roads". Yet a few weeks later, I got another permit and put down all these different stops and roads and never got questioned... he even gave it to me at a super cheap price (must have gotten it wrong somehow). Transport SA have no idea. Just go there and cross your fingers that the muppet behind the desk actually knows how everything works. Just try waiting in line at Service SA in the city and you're bound to hear a handful of complaints from angry people saying "But on the phone, I got told..." and "I want to speak with your manager! No! I will write to my local minister about how shocking your customer service is!".
  11. Spotted R34GTT along East Tce this morning and spotted a white 33 turning onto Beach road. Had a huge for sale sign on the rear windscreen. Looked clean.

Service SA. You can get a permit from those muppets.
  13. Lol was the guy you sold it to a member on here? I'm planning to pay off the car loan next year and then saving up for a deposit for a house and somehow still keeping the GTR!
  14. And you can't forget the juggernaut that is AJD (All Japan Day)!! Huge car show that's on once a year. It's the talk of the town!

That's crazy dude. I drove around for a good 5 weeks or so with a double defect and never got pulled over (I had a permit). I even drove around the GTR before it was even registered in Australia on permits with no number plates and not a single cop pulled me over. I even drove past a few and had a few follow me! It's weird how it all works...

When I got defected, I got told that I had to tow the car anywhere and everywhere...
  17. Lol gotta love driving the GTR on P plates at 20 in SA!!
  18. Hahaha Swish is where it's at!!
  19. Oh yeah good point Murry, as the car has most likely been in a crash therefore rendering the seatbelt useless as it's already been stretched!
  20. Damo where was that taken?! Looks like somewhere near Mount Bold
  21. Gee there's a large amount of bright pink Skylines doing the rounds these days!!
  22. Damo = Point of Off Topic Discussion Damo for Mayor of Adelaide.
  23. Try Autobahn (seriously) as they sell the complete item. Otherwise, the wreckers might be the best bet for such an old car!
  24. Exactly!
  25. Off topic, but +1 to Service SA messing people around. I got told a few weeks back on the phone from them "Yep, you can get your full license. Just come in and get it". So I went down there and the girl behind the counter said "Nope, you can't get it for another 4 weeks. The person on the phone was wrong". Stupid! 0 customer service skills.
