  1. Whats next for the 34........? Quite a lot actually... The minute i left the track i started planning ways to go faster... I will update the thread later with the new updates... This change will be a big one
  2. The new tow car is making life so easy! Just being able to load up and cruise without any stress is fantastic...
  3. One of my favourite things about the day was being in the same group as James, chasing the Grumblebee around Wakefield was a hell of a lot of fun!
  4. As some of you know i did have a decent "off" during the passenger laps... It is the first time i have ever been off a racetrack properly so i made sure i did a good job of it... It did rash the rims, belt the guard and also cut up my tyre... Pretty sure my alignment is out too as the car did not feel the same for the rest of the day... BUT in true SAU style i managed to take a trophy for the stuff up lol I ran 3 lots of passenger laps in 20 mins... I just overcooked the last one
  5. Leaving a nice set of lines behind sliding out of the last turn These shots were by Flat Shifting, they take some great shots and will likely be at our events in the future...
  6. I set off on the first session and the car felt like shit! It was smoking the tyres and just wanted to spin around on every corner... I tried to get some heat in the tyres but they were still far too low on pressure... The track was like ice so that did not help! We put some more air in the tyres which actually worked against us as in session 2 the tyres went up to 37psi which is way too high! Even with the pressure high i checked the times and it had still ran a 1.07 which was a good start! On the 3rd session i decided to push the car a little harder but was still trying not to hurt it as i wanted to make the passenger sessions at lunch, Carmens parents travelled all the way up from VIC to watch so my main goal was to take them for a few laps! When coming back into the pits i checked the lap timer and i could see it had registered a 1.068 lap followed by a 1.069 and the car was feeling pretty good...
  7. We unloaded the car and set up in the SAU pits that Neil had sorted for us... We had our drivers brief and got our groups and were good to go... I was placed in Orange group as the last outing was a 1.074 and i said it was likely to go quicker at this event as i actually had brakes for this round! Pic stolen from Timmy
  8. It was a bloody cold start again! E85 did not like this temp haha
  9. So with the Nulon Nationals we head off early morning from home via Yagoona to grab a helmet... Unfortunately the one i wanted was not in stock so i got a cheapie which worked fine From the helmet place we head straight to Wakefield Park to bed the brakes in. When we arrived at the track we met up with Brian, he was dialing in the new suspension setup in the R35... I went out and did a quick 2 lap run to get the brakes hot and then came in to let them cool, i was shocked at how well they worked! I noticed i still had an oil pressure issue under brakes but decided to run it the following day at the Nationals anyway as i wanted to make sure SAU got all the points possible
  10. Luckily nobody was watching as it was during the passenger runs lol Just too much speed, too much weight and not enough skill The new setup will mask my bad driving
  11. Oh yeah You mean on both seats lol
  12. Oh i think i was doing it right haha New updates coming soon
  13. It went OK... Driver was a tad rough though lol
  14. No Need, the pads were simply brilliant! They are the best pad i have ever used by far Thanks mate! It has been years of hard work that's for sure! Some interesting updates coming too
  15. This is correct! Yo dawg, i heard you like stealth so i stealthed your stealth
  16. No worries! Was a great day that is for sure... To drive the car on the trailer at the end of the day was a nice surprise too
  17. OK mate, most of the guys are staying at the track, ill be in town but will try get there pretty early as i assume there will be plenty arriving and trying to unload at the same time! We will find where SAU needs to be and setup as soon as we know! Ill try post it on Facebook once we know a location etc
  18. I cant insert the Excel spreadsheet as i am a computer tard lol However for the drivers it all starts at 7.30am for briefing, sign up etc... For spectators the first cars are on track by 9am... 5 groups so roughly 50 laps for each car. Drift demos will be held over the lunch break! If anyone heads down the day before and wants to catch up with the guys then you can meet up with them at the cabins at Wakie. Ill PM the drivers with additional info!
  19. Thought you would like it haha
  20. My catch can is complete... Stealth
  21. Yeah the guys have done a killer job on it... You cant see the rest of it, stealth!
  22. But 2hp is a large percentage of their total output so if course its noticeable
