Rb25det Oil Pressure Switch Info Needed
ELMOHASA33 replied to midnight's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
check with multi meter the pin for the light will be earthed when engine is off and will open circuit when you have oil pressure otherwise get your old switch from original engine it should bolt into the rb block if you dont have it then get one for a r31 rb30 from repco ect just tell them you want one for light only no gauge. -
Exhaust Layout Of R33 Gts-t And Gtr
ELMOHASA33 replied to POLICE's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
not 100% sure but i think there the same from cat back. i think the pipe lay out is the same but im not sure if the hangers on the exhast (that bolt to the mounting rubbers) are in the same locations i guess if you get the system any exhast shop can move the hangers it wouldnt cost much. -
After Market Air Box For R33
ELMOHASA33 replied to ELMOHASA33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i probly wouldnt sell the moulds but a finished box with the cleartop like the one pictured would be $200 posted to your door i think thats pretty fair it takes about half a day and $60 in products to make one. it would be finished though not like the one above. including bracket to mount to original air box location. -
After Market Air Box For R33
ELMOHASA33 replied to ELMOHASA33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
these air boxs are fully sealed and can run the 3" pipe at the bottom or the original snorkle or both depending on the intercooler piping. oh and they are about twice the volume of a standard box -

yeh jokes funny haha "i got jokes". well i guess no one is realy interested in these airboxs. i mean a plastic partition is just as good right? "yeh right" i also love how the plastic partitions start vibrating at about 140ks makes a mad sound and leaves awsome rub marks yeh mad might go back onto ebay and waste $90 on one now -
S14.5 Rb30 Hood Clearance
ELMOHASA33 replied to Capt. Raptor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
the mounts have to be custom made and engineered iv never done this convertion but have seen a few rb25 silvias if its heeps tight fitt a dry sump would give you more room...... this is only my personal opinion but why people bolt rb26 heads to rb30 blocks is beyond me the rb30 may have slightly more tourque but the block it self is alot weaker and has harmonic issues at 6500rpm . -
idont know if it works the same in vic but in nsw you can get an exsemtion to allow you to drive a turbo costs $75 dollars and one dam good excuse. correct me if im wrong but i thought it was the same rules for l plates. my addvise get rid of it before it looks any worse "and it will driven by a p plater" buy somthing else to thrash until you get your blacks. now thats been said dont take any of this personal but even if you didnt mention the L plates most of us would have guesst your on your Ps or Ls cause you got a lot to learn. oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh dddddddaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmm thats funny.

After Market Air Box For R33
ELMOHASA33 replied to ELMOHASA33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i found the proto type i made, it gives you a good idea what im talkin about but looks rough and dosnt have the airflow sensor hole this is the bottom half the top looks the same as the pics above or for a little extra can be clear like mine. also the bottom can be conected to a duct runnin to the front bar. i have moulds for two differant boxs one with standard piping and intercooler and one to suit front mount i would expect about $150 for one to suit standard & 200 to suit front mount as its bigger that would include postage within oz -

Rb26 Maximum Stroke
ELMOHASA33 replied to Capt. Raptor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
buy a rb30 bottom end if you want more stroke personaly id stick with the rb 26 bottom why do you want more stroke any way ? the main thing that determins stroke is the crank!! -
your mechanic dosn't have a clue if he thinks its hard to get parts for a 34. also most auto stores dont list these cars in there catalogs so insted of asking for a pod adapter for a 34 spend a little more time and messure between the bolt holes on the airflow meter and ask for some thing that fits them mesurements. im from a small country town in nsw i dont bother tryin to get parts here as they seem to be far more expensive than syd (bout 200klm away) and alot of the mechanics and auto stoes in town dont have a clue when it comes to imports im guessing your in the same boat.. if all else fails try ebay you will find heaps of good importers jap wreckers and parts. i would try the people in terrys replie above if your any where near sydney if they cant get it for you then no one can.

ELMOHASA33 replied to ELMOHASA33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
hey monkey boy the fact is that all the air boxs ive seen are not boxs but partitions i just thought it would be obvious that a fully inclosed box would be much better also im no air box supplier if someone was interested i would have made two or three but thats about it but seen as your so keen to knock me i will finish what i started.... the real reson i started this thread was just to see what other peoples ideas were and if anyone else had this problem so what have you done with your 33 "partition & pod filter" like every one else ! -

yeh mate best bet ring brants or take it to a better auto lec not to bag the bloke you already took it to but thats pretty easy to fix he could of at least disabled it for you until ya got the chance to take it back to brants sorry but i just dont go much on mechanics who claim to know bout late model cars "then they just throw parts at them until its fixed its just a waste of your time and money" -
