ive hit search but have not found a similar case. i sprayed degreaser all over my engine bay and gave it a light hose down as i read on one of the topics here on how to detail your car besides using the power hose. i covered the intake, alarm, n boost controller just in case n when i came to start the car it just cranks but wont kick over. i called nrma n they said that theres no pulse coming from the distributor when he was holding the crank angle sensor n said to wait a couple of days for it to dry out, but problem is i need the car to get to work tonight so i need it running asap! any ideas of how to get it running or if it could be potentially anything else that could be preventing my car from starting? cheers

I havnt got the car yet but getting one within the next couple of weeks should i get this? How much would it be if i were to buy one seperately?

yeh i can bring my own mechanic and it comes with 3 month warranty but he sed he will throw in 3 years warranty. But is dealer warranty any good? like you reckon they would play me around if i made claims?

yer the skyline ive been eyeing at their dealership looks straight n clean but due to their history im having doubts. I also asked for the auction sheet or any documentation from japan and their like the car was bought from a dealer in japan so theres nothing like that. He seems confident about the condition of the car thoough saying if u want someone to inspect it i can get someone n it will be done at his warehouse, but to me its all dealer talk. I like the car as its got the full leather seats n brembos but is it a risk worth taking is something i gotta ask myself.

what was it that turned you off?

yer the ones on parra rd. They seemed to be well informed and pretty straight forward but after that incident regarding the supra im having doubts.

yeh i saw that guy yesterday and was looking at one of his v35s coz im on the market for one. They seemed clean to me but after that supra incident i dont know. How much money do you actually save if you decide to go through the self importing process or through say iron chef as opposed to buying one locally?

yer ive been in a few but never driven any becuase im not that confident in manual. ive been practicing in my mates civic Type R but yerh still not confident enough. Also the last one i checked out the guy told me its common for the brembos to squeak because of the ceramic material but it goes away once it warms up. is this true? but thanks for the advice!

I just want to know if anyones seen it and can comment on its condition because i saw it today and really liked it. its pretty cheap for a manual n besides having no leather and a bose system its got the brembos and the display, as well as a somewhat civilised bodykit lol. Im pretty keen to go buy it but next time i go what should i look out for? cheers.

lol sounds hard to find but i like that half leather half suede look. Yeh im really want the premium one for all the goodies but when you're on a budget especially for a manual which is heaps pricey getting the colour you want isnt the main priority its mainly the condition ey. White is my preference anyways.

Hey guys just introducing myself. Ive been looking through the forum for the past few months and now im pretty much ready to go out and buy one. Im looking for a 350gt coupe manual and will probably get it in the next few weeks. At first sight i fell in love with the car as im sure it is the same with you guys. Gone through phases at looking for other cars such as an Integra type S or wait for my full license to buy a sti but i seem to keep coming back to the skyline. Just a question for all you owners, are all the associated problems that come with the car such as the power windows and the other things common amongst a lot of the cars? anything in particular to look out for while im car hunting? cheers.
