  2. cheers mate that be sweet! thats not the old josh priseman dr30 by chance? o btw found daves 32 , wat abuild ! cheers
  3. monster build dude!! man that thing gets sum lock!! just a qs, just to confirm u using r33 crossmember? and a stok sump? and u were able to move engine back 30mm with no clearance issues? sorry 4 the question s just doin a similar thing in my r30, tryn to find out sum info cheers
  4. u can also use a r33 master, i picked 1 up 4 $20. mf44 . just need to redo brakes lines with a joining block. suits me cos im running 4 pots on front and gonna get twins 4 the rear.
  5. blk94r33, cheers buddy, motors already been in car, and theres heaps of room, nothing like a33 or r32. ive changed xmembers and need the engine to re align with the "original" gearbox positon, ^ kinda gives u an idea on wat needs to be done check the hammer lol, ill check out "daves 32" cheers
  6. hey, sorry if in wrong section, move if possible. just wondering if ne 1 has moved there motors back? how far can u go before u start getting sump/ rack clearance issues? it looks pretty close maybe no1s done it in a skyline but maybe in a silvia with a rb conversion? ive got a r33 member and a r32 im trying out. the r32 makes the motor sit 10mm further back than the r33 xmember. im chasing another 15mm. i can gain that easy just by redrilling etc: just wondering if ne 1 had done sumthing similar before i have a go at it. btw this is in a dr30, im putting a rack in it by using 1 of these members, just need the motor to sit further back to suit previous gearbox/mountings etc. cheers
  7. u should make a few of em and sell them, id buy 1. looks the goods.
  8. LOL !!! u can skid ne thing with nothing, just depends on how well... diff and good w/a decent amount of castor be the main the 1s, o and balls.
  9. r32 coilpacks + igniter and loom, loom seem s ok, has 1 broken plug but is cabletied on ,so she sweet. selling due to uprgade to falcon coil/plug set up. not sure wats this worth so $180.00 neg. chatswood, sydney. 0419469108 $50 for the fan, coupling is in good nik. same deal, selling due to upgrade to thermos
  10. ^ NICE!!!, very cool, balljoint setup looks different? ok ive slowed down a bit on progress, but have confirmed crosmembers in the right spot. when i get my hands on welder ill finish it off. started to have a go at the column side of things, and yea not as easy as i first thought... ^ i was hoping i could swap the inards of each colum, so i coukld use the original mounting points, and combo etc. still possible just would need to cut and and shut.. ^ dr has larger mounting points than s13. the s13 colum needs to be supported at the firewall aswell, the original s13support angle is way off, but can be moded to suit. im goin to try a r31 column when i get my hands on 1 and c if they are a closer fit? on the positive side of things, the angle of the steering shaft to the rack doesnt look to be too extreme, and will only need to be made longer to fit once the steering column positon is sorted out. cheers
  11. im confused now i really dont wont to muck around with old racks ie r31 and s12s (which i think will be closest ) there lock is poor and u carnt get much aftermarket goodness 4 em. the 33 rack is dirt cheap, and u can get a host of good aftermarket bits 4 em + since im running modified s13 hubs to suit the dr tie rod ends, r33 are the only ends that i no of will fit in the hubs. i really dont want to fork out the cash 4 new hubs, if i do i may aswell go 5 stud, whichl be good, but i like my wheels to much
  12. cross the line skids?
  13. thankyou... yea i thought about that, i reckon it would be better as well, but like u say the pivoy to pivot points had to exactly the same, if not then ud get all sort of problems, my mine reason to go withh a r33 (or a31/r32) member and rack was to avoid that problem, using the rack thats designd for that member, having the correct pivot points already. i no wat u sayin dennis, but at the moment im out of pocket $240.00. still alot cheaper than gettin the box rebuilt, and i still needed a new drag link, which i couldnt find ne were. ne ways found sum r31 arms, heaps shorter than r30, castor and sway bar mounts up same, im thinkin there a lil to short, so goin to try s14 and s13 ones when i can, or even later on bite the bullett and get adjstable driftworks lcas. but for now this will do cheers
  14. cheers r34, yea i no wat ur sayin. ok, so i had a fair crak at it over the weeknd, got some good and not so good results.. found centre, all that was needed was to redrill 1 of the member mounts 35mm back. (i will sleeve this later) when im 100% the members sitting in correct positon. gives u an idea what im on about r30 vs 33 member very similar. after redrilling and elongating, members in, racks bolted up, 2 easy.. or is it .... problem still using r30 lcas, cool, but rediculous. so now im chasing correct lcas. r33 seem the go, but are only bout an inch shorter. tryin to compare to s13, and r31 will hopefully do next weekend. also noted the lca mounts are higher than dr, clearance has dropped bout 20mm. still not 100% 0n using r33 member. am looking into r32 or a31. motor also sits 40mm to far 4ward. supposevlly a31 will make it sit 20mm further back. still not 100% am chasing a few parts up. may even try a r31 x member. either way, i can c it working with a bit more thought. ive got a s13 sterering column, im stingin to try make work, just once ive sorted the x member and position i will have a go at the colum side of things, seeing the steering box and all the arms on the ground is enough insperation to make this work, im not an engineer, so ne imput be good, cheers
  15. both viscous s are in good cond. working fine. goin thermos. rb26 fan has been trimmd slightly on the fan edges, still works fine $50.00 25 is good $60.00; all pricing is neg. no postage carnt be bothered. pickup or meet half way. if ur interested just call i wont check this 4 awhile sydney / chatswood 0419469108 thanks
  16. pm ur number, if u can post rack. cheers
  17. thought id try to revive this, dr josh ne info be good. i came across a cheap 33 x member , and comparing the two it doesnt look like much work is needed to fit. 33 suits me because im running a rb. i i no if u wantd to u could also use s13, a31 and mayb 32.. the rail to rail bolt spacing is more, so s13 or r32 lcas would need to be used as the trak would be rediculous and the steering arms probally wont be long enough. easy. only major problem would be the steering colum, i thought mayb u could use a complete colum out of a 31? or re spline the 30 colum and modify the s13 to suit? i have looked at both s13 and r31 and the uni/ angles look fairly similar. im tryn to think of the pros and cons? all i can find is pros! raiding off the self goodnes, xtra lock tie rods, roll centre adjusters better tie rod ends, all seem good. i was thinking suspension geometry be out, but if im running s13 coils and hubs it should all be the same? im going to have a good crak at it while im waiting on a few bits 4 the engine. ill post some photos of progress as i go.
  18. cheers jon, have sent a email dennis u wanna sell ? i can give u the modded s13 1 as a good will gesture
  19. easy as. motor drops straight in. im using a mr30 x member in my rb d r.
  20. chasing a good qual, dr front strut brace. have a modified s13 brace atmo, but wont fit with the new motor. hopefully dennis wants to sell me back that cusco1
