  1. Hi guys, i've been following hhis thread for a while now as i'm considering an m35 to replace my evo with soon (kids are getting too big to fit in the back of the evo) and wanted to mention that the Nissan Xterra runs a 4 litre version of the VG and is available with AWD and a 6sp manual, but it's LHD only. anyway, sounds like a great project - good luck with it.
  2. 34 has a stiffer chassis too, even stiffer than an r33 gtr i think (happy for someone with more knowledge to either confirm or dispute this though, as I can't remember where i read it). Plus, in my view more important than the differrence in KW is the better low-end torque of the NEO engine, 343nm@3200rpm vs. 295NM@4800RPM for the 33. This, and the better quality interior, is why most people say its a more refined ride than a 33.
  3. Don't give up hope, Roy. They will probably be available in the U.K. in LHD. Vauxhall used to sell 'official' (as opposed to grey import) LHD Corvettes and Camaro z28's in the UK and dodge used to sell LHD Vipers there too. There is no problem with driving a LHD car in the UK, they are much less conservative about what you can drive on the road over there legally; as long as it has treaded tyres, working lights and somewhere to bolt a numberplate onto, you can get everything from an Ariel Atom to a full tube-frame dragster registered. Just means you won't be able to bring it back to Oz...and you'll need someone in the passenger seat to stick their head out for you if you want to overtake a truck!
  4. Tamiya do an r33 gtr kit and a uk company called SAS do the 400r conversion kit for it. you can get the conversion kit from HIROBOY http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/ in the UK or MediaMix Hobbies www.mediamixhobby.com.sg/ in Singapore and you can get the Tamiya kit pretty mch anywhere like toyworld or local hobby shops. I think tamiya do LMGT2 wheels in their Nissan R390 R1 Le mans car kit, too, but with slicks. here's a link to a built one: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t722635.html
