  1. The factory brackets didnt fit the Tomei dumps.Possibly could modify them--> which is not a bad idea. Even the factory manifolds droop...hence why Gibson team installed support brackets. Might have something to do with pressure from our side pipes... Flow tested the factory manifolds against the chinese stainless and they flowed 50% less, 6hrs of porting the OEM and got them within 15% of the stainless. I would use these 6boost mani's on all my future builds, no question...I know whats required for install now. Matt
  2. Which kit would you recommend?
  3. Yes lots of effort, however the gain is not little. My injectors are maxed at .35bar less boost....prob why I have a tick now Slightly down on compression on number 4, oil dripped in brought it up 125 to 140 psi, all other cylinders are 150. So the motor is coming out no question. All good though, there are a few things I can tidy up and replace while I'm at it. I'm quite happy with the performance now. Reliability is the goldern aim for me. My goal is to find out if it was pinging or an oil control issue. I run an extended trust gated baffle and extended sump(6L) Will pull it out over the next few days. Matt
  4. I have confirmed since my track day the rear manifold at least has warped 7mm, so my inlet pipe now rubs on the strut tower. I have to pull the motor to check as it has developed a slight tick. I will be weldings some support brakets onto these manifolds from the flange to collector. Something I would be doing from the factory on these manifolds from now on.. Or before you install them Matt
  5. I think photbucket took a while to process it, better but still not HD like the oringinal. Yeah the Attessa faulted so had to reset. Definately needs a retune with these manifolds.
  6. Last time was with 380kw, now ~480kw
  7. Crappy quality Photobucket Video 2 I have it in HD, will try youtube Matt
  8. Had a track day today at Mallala. Managed: 1:34 wet 1:17.4 1:17 1:16.1 Some 6 seconds faster than my previous PB. Matt Video link to come
  9. won't fit GTS4 buddy. very good shocks, large mono-valve Good spring rate to.
  10. Chasing some 9kg springs ID 70mm bottom ID 100mm top 23-29cm long Cheers Matt
  11. No BOV's for me. Much better throttle response from part to full...ie out of a corner....compressor surge comes from the turbo spooling faster than the motor can injest it....The other surge is actually compressor stall. Each to ther own. Mine is 90% track however Matt
  12. its just controls 2psi. You can't just put a bleed valve in its spot as the lines must be re routed. The std solenoid just adds a small vac to the boost line not connected directly in the line like a bleed or aftermarket boost controller is. Matt
  13. After 24mm adj front and rear
  14. Interesting to see the longer duration and larger exhaust valves together, would complement each other. 88mm doesn't need to be totally sleeved. Just sonic tested. Have done a few, usually number 3 needs a sleeve only. Matt
  15. Yep, Allan the Dentist. It has custom CP's in it from memory, James had them made up after the HKS pistons had issues. I remember how this engine revved.. I would be sticking with the 28 and just changing the turbo setup to be honest. Matt
  16. Great results from 2530's. What boost are your running? Additional specs would be great. Matt
  17. Aftermarket cams and adjustable cam wheels will effect your readings.
  18. I helped build this motor(rb28), it all fits. Very close but went in. We covered the Plenum in tape prior to install. Matt
  19. keen for NM35 and R32GTR and R33 GTR. yes I need them all matt
  20. Have a look at this link for cam testing on a 3SGTE. The reason I bring this up is the results we got from our own testing on a Rb26/30 was similar in curve, rpm, duration, lift and relationships apart from the 272IN and 264EX which we haven't tested and our 264/272 combo resulted in 10kw gain up top over 264/264, torque was also 150rpm later. Cam test Matt
  21. They are old garrett turbo's, Obsolete now. If you measure the compressor size we can give you a better idea of power ability.
