  1. yes they are definately the same as something common in aus (and not the same as skyline, they are smaller)

nissan had them on the shelf when i needed them

    part number is 43222-50J00

Does anyone know if this is the same part no. for an S2.

  2. Hmmm...I've gotta say, Import Monster is a pretty shocking site to navigate around. I would be really reluctant to bid on anything there without being able to read Japanese, or at least know how to understand those ridiuculous translations. Having said that, if anyone finds a new set of factory Stagea front mats on there, send me the link!!!

If you have any problems with tanslations, send Importmonster an email with the web link. They are more than happy to let you know the details of an item or ask the seller a question on your behalf.

  3. The main differnece is the Series 2 autos are tiptronic and Series 1 are the older style. Since these later style ER34/WC34 automatic S2 ECUs are tiptronic wasnt sure on how the transmission controlling was going to work with the older box

Hmm, I have a 25t x four, series 2 that has the E-ATx (no tiptronic) instead of the Dual matic M-ATx (tiptronic) box found in the RS four. Not sure how much difference there is from the series 1 E-AT to the Series 2 E-ATx.

Maybe I should check my ECU and see if its the same type used in the RS 4 as I'm considering the Nistune board for mine.

  4. I was hunting around for suspension/shock stuff - since the price of the aussie dollar is crap i can't get coilovers...I was looking at a bilstein catalogue online and found this:

    Stagea (WGNC34) Kombi/Station Wagon 4WD - 03.97- FRONT: BE5-2590 REAR: BE5-2589

I was wondering if that is correct - maybe SK or others can confirm..

Yeah, I have seen it before too. Apparently they are much harder to get.

Heasmans, (the Aust distributor of Bilsteins) recommend

B46-1471 for the front (r32 GTR)

    B46-1916 for the rear (r33 gts-t)

apparently they have fitted quite a few $1144 for the full set

  5. the think i dont like about sunroofs are they are another potential motor/item to break =$$$

    they can leak= $$$

    the attract rust=$

and they lower your head height in the car

not to mention the added weight for no real gain.

yeah, but on a warm summers night with both of them open it pretty cool

    and the kids love it

  6. Whilst ringing around today chasing an ecu for our S2 Stagea (still!!) I was able to find a few S1 Stageas being wrecked. They are in Qld. Thay are; A1 Nissan wrecking, Alljap auto parts and All auto imports. Thought I would share. Now can somebody please find me a S2 wrecker??

I've seen a few ECUs on Yahoo japan (import monster). might be worth a try if you can't find one locally. also New Zealand ( wreckers would be good for small things (Stagea parts are easier to get over there) and you win on the exchange rate.

  7. had another look on fast for some more info but couldn't find any. i'd suggest going down to the wreakers and having a look for one. or take one of the good ones out of the drivers side door and go down to an engineering workshop and get some made up.

Turns out you have to buy the window regulator, can't buy the bush on its own.

does anyone know the part no, for an S2 passenger side front window regulator. (the piece with the cross bit and rail in previous pic)

  8. just having a look in fast and it appears that all the stagea's had the same window assembley. here is the screen shot. if its not on here it may be on the door diagram.

    post-34711-1234350401_thumb.jpg

its the bit shown in the pic. hope I don't have to buy the whole rail

  9. i can post up a nissan fast screen shot of the electric window assembley, if you can id what part it is i can find out more info. front or rear door, and i may need you VIN number to get the right part number.

They would be great if you could and I'll pm you my vin

    Its the front passenger door.

    cheers

  10. Does anyone know the part no. for the little white plastic piece that sits in the window rail.

Its the hip section from the ball joint thats on the crossed arms that raise and lower the window :(

I'm hoping its a generic nissan part

  11. hey there, just wondering if anybody can help me out ?? i have a series 2 rs4. Once the car reaches operating temp on my way to work, the malfunction light comes on, i give it a rev and the light goes off and stays off, approx 45 km's to work. Very rarely does this happen on the way home in arvo.. nissan checked the code and told me most likely a coil fault. Since then i have fitted splitfires and new sparkplugs but still no difference. The car seems to be running fine and i can't notice any misfiring ?? any ideas would be much appreciated !! THANX

    check the codes yourself

this will show you which points to bridge

attached page will show you how to do it.

  12. I'm hoping someone who got the sk group buy springs can clear something up for me.

I have read through the suspension thread and of the "STAGEA SPECIFIC" whiteline springs,

but the part no's mentioned by SK are 83159(front) and 70191(rear) and are R33 GTR, R32 GTS according to the whiteline catalogue.

Are there STAGEA specific springs or are they the same as the skyline.

    cheers

  14. i'm pretty sure Gary has recently moved on.

thanks guys, yeah I tried Gary, sent an email to superior suspension but no reply...I double checked the part no's and the rears are r33's its only the fronts that are r32, so they could be correct then. I flicked Heasmans a quick email just to double check the part no' but the guy at the counter seemed pretty confident they were the right ones.

Are r32 and r33 (GTR) front shocks the same externally??

I'm thinking that maybe the valving of the r32 shock is better suited to the stagea if thats the case?

  15. hey guys, went to Heasmans this morning to get bilsteins for the stagea. They guy there said they recommend the R32 f gtr r gts-t.

Had it written down in his book and said they had fitted quite a few. Seeing there the Aus distributors of Bilstein I figured he'd know what he was talking about.

Does anyone know the difference between the r32 and r34 shocks.

ALSO, asked about the valving and he said he'd be suprised if you could tell the difference.

Just wanted to make sure there ok before I put them in the car (98 s2)

    cheers

  16. Do RS260 Stagea's have rb25det listed on the genuine nissan compliance plate? cos i looked at one today they also said they had it running 22psi, as i own a gtir now not really sure on rb26 safe boost levels with factoy ecu's

yeah, pretty sure they do. Have the vin fasted by one of the guys on here
