If you are serious. I would forget what you read an go out and buy an rb26. get it recoed with either N1 pistons or forgies if you the budget agrees. put some 272 cams in and twin 2540R turbos or a t78 and your done big cooler power fc rb25 det gearbox metal head gasket, and spend some cash on good drag suspension. it will run all day on a set up like that. meggala a good rb25/30 will cost you 10 15 k easy and they arent as reliable. there is a guy in qld with a r32gtst withan rb26 and he runs 11's woith only boost.

I'm no expert or mechanic but i have heard of issues with the tps (throttle position switch this sound like what it could be. you can get them cheap if you look or import your self you can even get them nonturbo and convert when you are ready and other tough 4 door is the cefiro they rock with a body kit meggala

yea I had it serviced they are really only a 300 hp transmission you can get them beefed up but it cost 2k or so cheers meggala

ok I'm about to put an rb25det in my car. I must be crazy when you do the sums. any way the simple solution is in this order do exhaust raise boost 12 psi fit s-afc fit front mount inter cooler pod filters are optional and only make the car louder and could be illegal in your state. and around 160 -170 rwkw should be avaliable to you. I don't recommend going higher if you get an auto I'm about to convert my auto to manual. to raise boost you need a bleed valve but also fitting an after market exhaust should raise the boost abit. stall converters waste alot of fuel and are only recommended if you are regularly drag racing. auto become expesive to fix as well if you drive a manual get one casue resale is also better in manuals. meggala

Cam you need 550's from an rx7 or you can buy injector s from nismo. the gtr one don't work I have been tolsd a few times only with after market computer casue of the impedance and they fire differently to the rb20 ones. my parts page has all the details. meggala

from what I'm lead to believe you can mod the rb25 to handle rb26 cams and may be even 2 cam gears. Didnyou guys know you can run every thing rb26 on an rb25 block think of the possiblilities meggala
