Does anyone know if you can use an iPhone as a modem on a pc? My Internet is throttled because of download limit but I have heaps of data with optus on my iPhone. Thanks in advance.

I was bored, and we hit the download limit so the internet is speed limited to 64k . LOL gotta love that legal acceleration! yeah roadworks are a bit of a PITA Like driving from Gawler to Nurioopta is 26kms I think, I rekon about 20ks of it has roadworks..... 60 & 80kmh...... Then I had to go to Rowland Flat (Barossa), went out the back of Gawler onto Barossa Valley Way, thought I'll give the car a bit of a squirt (not exceeding the speed limit though) and I get sightseers lol

Well in my street, every single house owns one - oldest VS, newest VE. (even my house - my mum has a VZ SV6) Where I work, there is alot of 17-20 y/o guys, some of which love to talk about the commonwhores. One guy especially, he seemed to think his VS Acclaim with big subs was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the R32. I pretty much ignored it in the end.....

Dont you hate that?!? Mind you I'm happy with the speed of the wireless, it would just be good with a bit less ping for gaming or whatever. My Brother is playing Left 4 Dead online right now, and it is working though. I wrote to the Federal MP for my area (Nick Champion) and I actually got a call from his office (very surprised) and the guy said if they could just ring up Telstra and say hook this guy up to broadband, that they would, but they cant. He did say that my suburb was down for having the NBN installed. But yeah it could be a while.... That call was a while ago though, I think some things regarding it may have changed since then

Yeah well I have nextg wireless, 10GB download (throttled) at around $129 a month (got 12 months half price offer so its around $65 ATM) But I dont really have any other choice (literally). Must say it does move fairly well for wireless though. I downloaded a file without dropping below 340kb/s. ADSL1 = pair gains, if not on pair gains line is too long ADSL2 = not in the exchange ATM - but even if it was wouldnt work anyway probably Cable = apparantly my street physically has it, but its open ended. Satellite = heard we cant get the government subsidy here (because the area does have broadband) So yeah I'm a lil stuck lol. I live in a roughly 5 year old estate amongst new houses, and a house around the corner was up for sale at $1.5m. No wired broadband here lol.

Yeah cant say I really miss TTP (pretty much for the same reason you said) lol Lived around the corner from it for 12 years, now its a 20 minute drive to a major shopping precinct, but yeah as said.....
