  8. Some nice pics there bro.. especially the one of the barn and i reckon if you bumped the sat up a bit you could really get those colors (note spelling aus boys hahahaha) where in the states are you located?? good to see there are some skylines kicking around the states as i had heard that it was a real bitch to get them registered for road use.. heard many a stories on zilvia doing dodgy things with numberplates from other cars and the such.. care to shed some light on the situation?
  9. Hey guys, been taking a few shots lately and have been uploading them to my redbubble page just so i have some High res copies somewhere on the net incase my pc dies (again).. Heres the link, by all means, all CC will be greatly appreciated.. http://www.redbubble.com/people/rcharris101 Enjoy!!
  10. hahahaha, MSTRshenanigans, i cant believe your still in here arguing with these guys.. quite clearly none of them know what they are talking about and when confronted with someone in the industry, the "think they know all but really dont" warriors will come out and voice there opinion.. obviously what you'v stated is accurate, i just went and asked my housemates missus (she works for AAMI) and she says that theyre legally not allowed to give a p plater insurance for an exempt car, if he's a nominated driver of the vehicle.. so yeah, good call shenanigans, i advise to just ignore the people questioning you in this thread, otherwise you'll be here for ever.. and to the p plater lad that crashed his turbo car.. why do you have a turbo, i dont understand all these p platers that get turbo cars, do they not know that insurance wont cover them?? part the car out, by an NA car.. and learn from this..
  11. as above, rip to the lad and condolences to his family and friends.. i found another quote on another news site, it kinda indicates that he probably was speeding excessively.. “There were 70-odd metres of skid marks and given the damage to the vehicle, how he wrapped around that tree, excessive speed would appear to be the major contributing factor.” but still.. drive safely guys..
  12. hahahahaha... LIMITER BRO!!!!!
  13. white bro.. white... Good luck with it though man, its all about personal preference.. personally i think a white car with black/dark coloured TE37's looks amazing.. youv already got the dark wheels so it will be an easy change... howeverits all upto you.. make your car loook the way YOU want, then just tell other people that dont like it to get fcuked.. either way keep us updated bro, looks to be a good starting point...
  14. a little?? whys your writing so little.. although i do agree, someone should help this lad.. i want photos of this mint factory spec 32..
  15. ahhh very nice bro, good to see nissans are popular ALL over the world.. did you do the engine conversion yourself?? are there many other cars like skylines, silvias, supras or imports like that?? either way keep us all updated, looks like a nice car.. P.S Stay away from the ocean, you guys have been getting smashed up in that part of the world lately... Drive safe!!
  16. Hey boys, good to see the talk on the f1 season started already.. first of, noone has said a thing about webber (as far as i could see) i assume he's still with redbull?? vettel did well with the setup last year it will be good to see webber get a few more podiums, maybe even a few wins.. i just saw on the f1 website a confirmation of schuey signing with merc, as said above im a diehard schuey fan but i dont know if i was super keen on him coming back.. however now thats its confirmed and he'll be there, it will be good to see him shape up against the younguns of the sport... also as usual there are a few rule changes this year, will cut and paste as i think its pretty important for all to see.. Though not as dramatic as the rule changes introduced for the 2009 season, the revisions for 2010 could still have a significant impact on the teams’ relative performance… Refuelling The biggest change for the 2010 season is the banning of refuelling during races for the first time since 1993. Pit stops will not become a thing of the past, however, as drivers still have to use both dry-weather tyre compounds during a Grand Prix. Of course, those stops will now be much quicker, quite possibly under four seconds. The change requires cars to possess a much larger fuel tank - up from around 80 litres to something nearer 250 - and has a major effect on race strategy, with drivers having to pay more attention to tyre and brake conservation. To accommodate the bigger tank, the cars are likely to feature wider rear bodywork and a longer wheelbase. As a result, the weight distribution will be quite different to that of a 2009 car. Points system In place of the previous structure, which saw the top eight drivers scoring 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively, from 2010 the top ten finishers in a Grand Prix score points. The change has been introduced as a result of the expanded grid of 13 teams. Under the new system, the race winner takes 25 points, with 20 and 15 being awarded for second and third places respectively. The next seven finishers will score 10, 8, 6, 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively. Weight The minimum weight of the car has been raised from 605kg to 620kg. The initial thinking behind this was to offset the disadvantage faced by taller, heavier drivers in KERS-equipped cars (the additional weight of the KERS system meant they were left with less flexibility in terms of weight distribution than their lighter rivals). By mutual agreement, however, teams are now not expected to run KERS in 2010. Narrower front tyres When slick tyres returned to Formula One racing in 2009, the tyre size remained unchanged. In terms of contact area, this meant that the fronts gained proportionally more grip than the rears. This has been addressed for 2010, with front tyre width reduced from 270mm to 245mm, thus helping to bring back a better grip balance. Also, the ban on refuelling means cars will be around 100kg heavier at the start of a race than in 2009, so Bridgestone will use slightly harder tyre compounds to compensate. No wheel fairings Teams are no longer allowed to use the wheel rim covers that became so commonplace in 2009. Their removal means one less thing to go wrong when pit crews are trying to change of set of tyres in less than four seconds, and could also aid overtaking by making the airflow immediately behind cars less turbulent. More teams Thirteen teams - 26 cars - will feature on the grid in 2010. This means a slight alteration to the knockout qualifying session, which will now see eight drivers (as opposed to five) eliminated in Q1 and Q2, leaving ten to fight it out for pole in Q3. The ban on refuelling means that cars will qualify on low fuel in all three phases of the session. Testing If a team declares that one of their current race drivers is to be substituted by a driver who has not participated in an F1 race in the two previous calendar years, one day of track testing will now be permitted, on an approved circuit not being used for a Grand Prix in the current season. This is to avoid scenarios such as that seen in 2009 when Jaime Alguersuari made his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso having only previously driven an F1 car in straight-line testing. In another minor change, teams will be allowed six rather than eight days of straight-line aero testing per season. They will also have the option of substituting any of these days for four hours of wind tunnel testing with a full-scale (rather than the normal 60 percent-scale) model. alright thats it for now, i for one can not wait until the 12th of march.. bring on bahrain.. i'll certainly be adding to this thread alot over the next year.. harris btw vettel ftw this year.. this boy will be huge..
  17. Thats a good list bro, swift gti's are the shiznit car, and i cant wait to get another one as my daily.. My list First Car - 95 mk3 suzuki swift gti.. 1.3 efi - 2 inch exhaust and pod/cai and 14" wheels, lowered.. still the best car i think iv ever owned, handled like a gokart and redlined at like 8000 or something crazy like that, had it over 10000 rpm a few times.. will definately be buying another one as my daily as soon as the opportunity arises.. car was stolen and i got very little back on the car.. i was very very very heartbroken.. Second and Third Car - I got 2 1994 1.6 litre swifts sedans (EGAY, $400 for both) that i used whilst the GTI was in the shop after my missus at the time crashed into the arse of someone.. lucky i bought them though as the GTI was stolen about 4 months after so at least i had transport.. were alright cars but nothing compared to the gti, i think i sold them for like $1000 on egay when i got over them/didnt need them anymore.. Forth car - 1960 something mini minor.. had a bit of rust in the floor but the engine had 55 thousand on it and it turned over and ran amazing.. only drove the car one time, and it sucked TBH.. far too small and far too close to the road, and this coming from someone that had a swift gti.. anyhows a mate of mine was moving and he owned it, was trying to get rid off it, i had like $100 bucks in my wallet for some reason, ended up giving it too him and getting the mini towed to my house.. had no intentions other than too whack the mini on egay, ended up selling it there for like $1200.. soon after i called my mate and sent him a photo of the receipt, and i put another $100 into his account.. was a good month for me there.. - no photos of this beast.. fifth car - 1989 White R31 Ti - Auto boat, and stock as a rock.. Had decent plans for this car but a manual/later model TI (blue) came up about 3 months later with lower k's and i bought that one as well, obviously i put everything i bought for the white one, into the blue one so now i have two r31's, havent needed much off the white car other than stealing the AFM that was new and putting it on the blue car.. Sixth/Current car - 1990 Blue Ti converted to manual, with silo lsd, lowered and extractors, faded bonnet and bootlid.. havent done anything to this car really as iv been working a hell of alot lately, have been putting cash away pretty steadily though so will have some major updates soon.. So yeah, a decent little list.. respect to all the gti owners out there, they are awesome little cars..
