  2. Good morning Luke. $250 to save up for things? That's just if things were to remain the same...... you know thats not going to happen man. But trust me when i say this, when you have a family and own a GTR, EVERYTHING changes and is MUCH more expensive and $1150 will soon feel like $150! So there you go........now when are we gonna see some baby Luke's
  3. Morning all thanks Chris. Believe it of not she woke feeling tip-top no fever (yet) and all being constantly singing. I'm tired but will somehow manage to clean theses windows today

  11. Michael a tip for ya! Get it detailed (you do it yourself) then take pics
  12. Hey! If I ever win a million dollars. I sure as hell ain't gonna complain
  13. . Even if you did find a u beaut term deposit that paid you say 8% p.a. that's only 80k then account for approx 20k in tax and that's just over $1100pw. You would not be having much of a lifestyle and would no doubt be chewing into your savings. Especially if you plan on having a family.......I'm sorry to say mr Luke but that's just not sustainable!
  14. If the Ark is up to it do it. But who's gonna take care of Tyler ? SA is a loooooooooooooong way Chants. Yes, wine country indeed. Get your hands on Barossa Valley Elderton estate 1999 CSM (cabernet sauvignon merlot) one of the best wines I have ever tasted. I always dream of wining a large prize of money i.e. 5m lotto prize or something like not (35m which is unrealistic) and had many discussions with my wife. TBH 1m theses days doesn't really go that far when you already have a family and a mortgage but this of course will vary amongst individual lifestyle(s). If I did win - we would build a (much bigger) house to our liking that would have a really awesome 5 space garage with a hoist we would then refinance our existing home and negatively gear it (I would have to do the calculations to work out the quantum of the loan to obtain the optimum tax benefits) - rentals in that area are very strong (due to its close proximity to schools, major shopping center etc...) and would help balance out some of the loan repayments I would also ensure that we get the existing house valued before it becomes available for rent - that way any CGT payable in the future will be significantly less for its time classified as an investment property with any excess cash left over (if any) we would guarantee to put both our children to private schools and maybe purchase some new daily vehicles (something like a Toyota Prado nothing fancy) and unlike many other dreamers - I would still keep working (probably not my wife) as 1m by then would be pretty much gone. there you go Chants hope that gives you an idea of what I would do with $1m gainful win and how far it would go. Actually I have plenty of annual leave - the only reason why I have so much is because I predominantly have not been able to take holidays since Emelie was born. But we plan on going back to Europe this December / January

  19. yay! I may actually have my car to go to that one
  20. very nice work mate having said that, a tax specialist in mining is pretty damn good too and very good money hence why big dollars paid. But the resource industry is highly volatile (especially now) l - High Risk / High Returns?
  21. no wockers shame Anna is in that situation.
  22. Hey Bunta, I highly doubt she was a tard. But a common issue / example that Tony may had to experience is when women leave the work force to start a family and then a few years after i.e. 3-5 years or more later rejoin the workforce. Nobody wants to know you which is despicable to say the very least. I know a few women (CA's) who had to experience that, with one who was working with me here (my boss was respectful enough to take her on board) and was totally worth it because she has great experience and technical knowledge. She has now started her own practice.
  23. ok. fair nuff bro.
  24. Hey JW Black is ok. I just dont fancy blends. Good stuff re: placement for her - its evident you are dedicated to what you do. I will keep that note upstairs.
